Surrealism

Surrealism is a cultural movement that began in the early 1920s, and is best known for its visual artworks and writings. The aim was to "resolve the previously contradictory conditions of dream and reality". Artists painted unnerving, illogical scenes with photographic precision, created strange creatures from everyday objects and developed painting techniques that allowed the unconscious to express itself.

Surrealist works feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur; however, many Surrealist artists and writers regard their work as an expression of the philosophical movement first and foremost, with the works being an artifact. Leader André Breton was explicit in his assertion that Surrealism was, above all, a revolutionary movement.

Surrealism developed largely out of the Dada activities during World War I and the most important center of the movement was Paris. From the 1920s onward, the movement spread around the globe, eventually affecting the visual arts, literature, film, and music of many countries and languages, as well as political thought and practice, philosophy, and social theory.

Subtitle

A subtitle can refer to:

Subtitle (titling), an explanatory or alternate title of a book, play, film, musical work, etc., in addition to its main title

Subtitle (captioning), a textual version of a film or television program's dialogue that appears onscreen

Subtitles Recordings, a record label

Subtitle (rapper), a Los Angeles-based rapper

Life

Life is a characteristic distinguishing physical entities having biological processes (such as signaling and self-sustaining processes) from those that do not, either because such functions have ceased (death), or because they lack such functions and are classified as inanimate. Various forms of life exist such as plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea, and bacteria. The criteria can at times be ambiguous and may or may not define viruses, viroids or potential artificial life as living. Biology is the primary science concerned with the study of life, although many other sciences are involved.

Throughout history there have been many theories about life including materialism, hylomorphism and vitalism. Even today it is a challenge for scientists and philosophers to define life. The smallest contiguous unit of life is called an organism. Organisms are composed of one or more cells, undergo metabolism, maintain homeostasis, can grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce (either sexually or asexually) and, through evolution, adapt to their environment in successive generations. A diverse array of living organisms can be found in the biosphere of Earth, and the properties common to these organisms are a carbon- and water-based cellular form with complex organization and heritable genetic information.

Subtitle (rapper)

Giovanni Marks (born October 2, 1978), better known by his stage name Subtitle, is a rapper and producer based in Los Angeles, California. He is one half of the duo Lab Waste alongside Thavius Beck. He has also collaborated with other artists such as K-the-I???,Busdriver and Islands.

Career

Subtitle released an EP entitled I'm Always Recovering from Tomorrow in 2003 and an album entitled Young Dangerous Heart in 2005, both on the label Gold Standard Laboratories. His group Lab Waste (with Thavius Beck) released an album, Zwarte Achtegrond, at the beginning of that year.

October 2006 saw the release of Terrain to Roam, an album which featured production from Daddy Kev, Daedelus, Thavius Beck, Omid, Nobody, Paris Zax, Madlib, Dntel, Crunc Tesla, and Small Is Beautiful among others.

Daft Punk

Daft Punk are an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. The duo achieved significant popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement and were met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, techno, disco, rock, and synthpop. The group was managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter (Busy P), the head of Ed Banger Records.

Bangalter and de Homem-Christo were originally in a rock band called Darlin' together, which disbanded after a short period of time, leaving the two to experiment musically with drum machines and synthesizers. The duo became Daft Punk, releasing their debut album Homework on Virgin Records in 1997 to highly-positive reviews. The 2001 release of Discovery was even more successful, driven by the club singles "One More Time", "Digital Love", and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". In March 2005, the duo released the album Human After All to mixed reviews. However, the singles "Robot Rock" and "Technologic" achieved success in the United Kingdom.

.. An excellent movie on the nature of change and impermanence. This is the film Zen Noir by Marc Rosenbush. Zen Noir is a 2004 surrealist Buddhist murder mystery by independent filmmaker Marc Rosenbush, starring Kim Chan, Duane Sharp, Ezra Buzzington, Debra Miller, Jennifer Siebel and Howard Fong. The film, which opened in theatres on September 15, 2006, has won several prestigious film festival awards. Awards:.. Spaniards & Americans or USA vs Geography, with English and Spanish subtitles. known humorist Michael Zadornov reads a monologue, satire about the American foreign policy. Parody of Zadornov on the base of surrealism case from the real life, which can become a symbolic parody of modern American foreign policy (constantly neoconservative). American politicans of systematically repeated to trying to cancel the geographical facts (for example, absurdly insignificant and demagogic in fact any American political guarantees for Mongolia, which are able only to confuse or loosen the Mongolian state). So ignoring of facts of geography was even the reason of senseless war in Vietnam, instead of development of the Lunar space program (or US political game for organization of chaos on pretence of export of democracy, but chaos is really impossible to control because an effect can be reverse). What do megalomania not curable and the US political clans are unable to notice the geographical limits of own possibilities?
