Stephen Michael McGuinness, also known as Steve Mac, is a UK house music producer. As a solo artist, he runs Variation Recordings.
Mac started out as scratch DJ at the age of 11. He met his production partner Rob Chetcuti in a hip-hop group in Malta. They formed the group, The Rhythm Masters.
Mac and Chetcuti also set up a studio followed by a record label, Disfunktional Recordings in 1995. The label was mainly a showcase for the pair's own productions although artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Junior Sanchez, Paul Woolford, and Giorgio Moroder also contributed.

The Face is a science fiction novel by American writer Jack Vance, the fourth novel (1979) in the "Demon Princes" series. This book was published nearly twelve years after the third.
Kirth Gersen tracks Lens Larque across several worlds, most notably Aloysius, the desert world Dar Sai and the more temperate Methel. He eventually learns that Larque is a Darsh, born Husse Bugold. He had been deprived of an earlobe and made a rachepol or outcast from his clan for a crime considered "repulsive but not superlatively heinous." He took the name Lens Larque, after the lanslarke, an indigenous creature and the fetish of the Bugold clan. (It was this slim clue that enabled Gersen to track him down.) He then became a notorious criminal renowned for his magnificent, if often grotesque and horrifying, jests.
Gersen encounters Larque at a Darsh restaurant on Aloysius, but only manages to cut off his remaining earlobe. Gersen had arranged to impound one of Larque's spaceships, in order to lure him in from the lawless Beyond. In an ironic twist, Larque escapes Gersen's courtroom ambush, blows up the ship, and collects insurance money - from a company owned by Gersen.
The Face is a novel by Dean Koontz published in 2003 by Bantam Books.
The main plot of the story follows Ethan Truman, an ex-cop who now works as the head of security for the most famous actor in Hollywood, Channing Manheim, a.k.a. "The Face." Ethan is trying to track down the sender of several gruesome "messages" that were received in black boxes. Ethan now has six black boxes to figure out what the contents of the boxes mean. After chasing down leads and tracking the "ghost" of his dead friend Duncan "Dunny" Whistler (technically, Dunny is not a ghost, as he came back to life in the morgue), Ethan finally uncovers the plot and races to stop the kidnapping of Manheim's son, Aelfric..

Graduate Employees Together – University of Pennsylvania (GET-UP) was a group of graduate student employees at the University of Pennsylvania that was trying to become recognized as a union. The group formed in the spring of 2001, and affiliated with the American Federation of Teachers. The group has not been recognized by the University as a union for the purposes of collective bargaining.
While graduate employee unions are commonplace outside of the USA they exist at less than half of American public universities, and there has been only one recognized union at a private American university. The first graduate employee union in the USA was formed in 1970 at the University of Wisconsin–Madison when the Teaching Assistants Association won recognition and its first contract. Between 1970 and 2000 graduate employees organized many unions at public universities, and today an estimated 20% of graduate employees in the US work under a collective bargaining agreement. Graduate employee unions did not exist at private universities until October 2000, when the NLRB ruled in the landmark case of GSOC at New York University (NYU) that graduate employees at private universities are to be considered employees according to the definition put forth in the National Labor Relations Act.

"You" is a throbbing, hulking monster of a track, a dark and distinctive foray into sound that's already being championed by Sander Kleinenberg & Pete Tong. Layering strobing, resonating bass with flickering hi-hats and insistent synths, the track hurtles out of the speakers with spacey FX and that unsettling, disembodied voice proclaiming "YOU" like an other-worldly call to arms! German dance legend Tom Novy heeds that call with a mighty remix, injecting ...

Beneath the dance hall lights
You see my girl so sound
Lights up the ground
If you give up New York
I'll give you Tennessee
The only place to be
The cowboys burning eyes
Don't like the sight of me
Just straight enough to breathe
I like your point of views
So don't you shy away
Ride out the wave
Ride out the wave
Ride out the wave
Ride out the wave
Ride out the wave
You had me holding on
All of the time in place
Ride out the wave
Bury yourself away
The one and only face
Ride out the wave
Ride out the wave
