Sukhumvit Soi 7/1:
Soi 7/1 is a street that not many tourists/expats venture down, so it's usually pretty quiet. It is home to many dirty massage parlours, a few regular bars, Magic Table gogo bar, Bangkok Beat Nightclub and some random restaurants and guesthouses.
Walking down Soi 7/1 for the first time can be intimidating, the massage girls / ladyboys will block your path and use their charms to coax you inside. Be firm but polite when declining their services, I usually say I'm headed to the Pickled Liver pub for a drink and they leave me well alone.
The Dr BJ's massage branches (the original Salon and the Nuru place) are located on Soi 7/1, at the salon you can read the menu in this video at 4:29, prices are is 700 baht for a nurse and 1000 for a consultant :)
Dr BJ's must be doing a good trade because they are opening 4 new places soon according to their website: a gogo bar, a lodge, Rig Pigs (whatever that is?!) and a Lord BJs place.
A note about the Tuk Tuk ride:
This ride was free for me because the driver gets a kickback of the full cover charge per person of 250 baht to enter Climax Nightclub.
This is one of the reasons many late night Taxis and Tuk Tuks are so keen on only hunting for customers going to nightclubs at night, as many other nightclubs give similar kickbacks to the drivers.
The 250 baht is per person, so if a taxi takes 4 guys to Climax Nightclub he will get 1000 baht (not bad for 10 minutes work).
If you are in a group you can actually negotiate with the driver to pay you to take you to the nightclub. So for 4 guys going to Climax, get the driver to pay your group 500 baht and he will get back 1000 from the club so everyone is happy!

Sukhumvit Soi 7/1:
Soi 7/1 is a street that not many tourists/expats venture down, so it's usually pretty quiet. It is home to many dirty massage parlours, a few regular bars, Magic Table gogo bar, Bangkok Beat Nightclub and some random restaurants and guesthouses.
Walking down Soi 7/1 for the first time can be intimidating, the massage girls / ladyboys will block your path and use their charms to coax you inside. Be firm but polite when declining their services, I usually say I'm headed to the Pickled Liver pub for a drink and they leave me well alone.
The Dr BJ's massage branches (the original Salon and the Nuru place) are located on Soi 7/1, at the salon you can read the menu in this video at 4:29, prices are is 700 baht for a nurse and 1000 for a consultant :)
Dr BJ's must be doing a good trade because they are opening 4 new places soon according to their website: a gogo bar, a lodge, Rig Pigs (whatever that is?!) and a Lord BJs place.
A note about the Tuk Tuk ride:
This ride was free for me because the driver gets a kickback of the full cover charge per person of 250 baht to enter Climax Nightclub.
This is one of the reasons many late night Taxis and Tuk Tuks are so keen on only hunting for customers going to nightclubs at night, as many other nightclubs give similar kickbacks to the drivers.
The 250 baht is per person, so if a taxi takes 4 guys to Climax Nightclub he will get 1000 baht (not bad for 10 minutes work).
If you are in a group you can actually negotiate with the driver to pay you to take you to the nightclub. So for 4 guys going to Climax, get the driver to pay your group 500 baht and he will get back 1000 from the club so everyone is happy!

About 22,000 people reside in the district and it is a popular area for residents of Seoul, tourists, and U.S. military personnel.
Many restaurants serving international dishes are found in this area including cuisine from India, Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Italy, England, France and Mexico — foods that are not widely available in Korea. Essentially, it's known as "Western Town," reminiscent of many Chinatowns in many Western countries.
Itaewon is, along with Insadong and Seoul Tower, one of the most popular areas in Seoul for tourists. Major hotels such as the Grand Hyatt and local landmark Hamilton Hotel can be found here as well as dozens of shops and services aimed at tourists. High-quality leather products can be found here at reasonable prices (though haggling is expected) as well as traditional Korean souvenirs.
Counterfeit goods and clothing are ubiquitous and of varying quality. Some genuine goods that are produced in Korea for the international market as well as some authentic imports can be found. Itaewon is known for its tailors that make custom-made suits.
Aside from the tongue-in-cheek businesses, there is a rich community of business owners, including a pie shop owner from the U.S.A. (Tartine), authentic American burgers, a wine bar, an Austrian delicatessen (with an array of cheeses and meats), a veterinarian/pet groomer with an excellent reputation, a chiropractor from Oregon, doctors and nurses, pharmacists, and grocery shop owners.
There is a portion of Itaewon known as "Hooker Hill." The hill mainly consists of multiple juicy bars on both sides of it. This video partly features these bars that operate hidden business in addition to selling liquor. Although the stereotype of only American servicemen visiting, this area is well-known among men from other countries, including Middle Easterners and Africans.
Furthermore, because South Korea is not widely socially accepting of homosexuals, there is an underground gay area in this district as well.
