The Commander-In-Chief and Thomas Valeur are the first guitarists to do a professional recording of Pablo Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen, in its entirety and played correctly, on guitar.
This is also the first "guitar duel" between a classical guitarist and a metal guitarist. The Chief plays with clean guitar sound on this recording. Zigeunerweisen is normally played by violin virtuosos
The two guitarists met when they both performed at the prestigious Bergen International Festival in June 2013. They agreed to cooperate, and soon after they started to work on this piece of music. It took five months to prepare, and the recording took place in November 2013, at Modern World Studios in Cotswolds, England. Produced and mixed by James Mottershead. Mastering by Stephen Marsh.
The video was directed, filmed and edited by Elisabeth Hagen.
The Commander-In-Chief has been featured in major music magazines, in several countries, and she has been called "1 of 10 modern guitar Gods" by Metal Hammer UK, "The Queen of Shred" by Total Guitar Magazine and leading national TV, NRK, in Norway featured her as one of today's pioneers and role models in music, in October 2013.

DROPOUT was recorded in 2010 and 2011 and the video was filmed in Milan-Italy in May 2011, only days after she received her prototype Ibanez Falchion 7 guitar. The song was RE-mixed by Pantera producer Sterling Winfield in 2011 before he went on to produce her debut EP.
DROPOUT was written in Chicago in 2008, while The Chief attended High School there. More than 25 registered school kids/teens were killed in shootings that school year. But The Chief discovered that the ones that are Dropouts from the school system are not part of the statistics. She got so appalled that she wrote this song about the issue. This song is for all those who are "invisible" and have fallen outside the system.

A commander-in-chief is the person exercising supreme command authority of a nation's military forces or significant element of those forces. In the latter case, the force element may be defined as those forces within a particular region or those forces which are associated by function. As a practical term it refers to the military competencies that reside in a nation-state's executive, Head of State and/or Head of Government. Often, a given country's commander-in-chief need not be or have been a commissioned officer or even a veteran, and it is by this legal statute that civilian control of the military is realized in states where it is constitutionally required.
The role of commander-in-chief derives from the Latin, imperator. Imperatores (commanders-in-chief) of the Roman Republic and Roman Empire possessed imperium (command) powers. In its modern usage, the term was first used by King Charles of England in 1639. A nation's head of state usually holds the position of national commander-in-chief, even if effective executive power is held by a separate head of government. Colonial governors are also often appointed commander-in-chief of the military forces in their colonies. Examples are Commander-in-Chief Allied Forces North, or Commander-in-Chief East Atlantic.

The Commander-In-Chief and Thomas Valeur are the first guitarists to do a professional recording of Pablo Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen, in its entirety and played correctly, on guitar.
This is also the first "guitar duel" between a classical guitarist and a metal guitarist. The Chief plays with clean guitar sound on this recording. Zigeunerweisen is normally played by violin virtuosos
The two guitarists met when they both performed at the prestigious Bergen International Festival in June 2013. They agreed to cooperate, and soon after they started to work on this piece of music. It took five months to prepare, and the recording took place in November 2013, at Modern World Studios in Cotswolds, England. Produced and mixed by James Mottershead. Mastering by Stephen Marsh.
The video was directed, filmed and edited by Elisabeth Hagen.
The Commander-In-Chief has been featured in major music magazines, in several countries, and she has been called "1 of 10 modern guitar Gods" by Metal Hammer UK, "The Queen of Shred" by Total Guitar Magazine and leading national TV, NRK, in Norway featured her as one of today's pioneers and role models in music, in October 2013.
Thomas Valeur graduated from the Grieg Academy in Norway.

DROPOUT was recorded in 2010 and 2011 and the video was filmed in Milan-Italy in May 2011, only days after she received her prototype Ibanez Falchion 7 guitar. The song was RE-mixed by Pantera producer Sterling Winfield in 2011 before he went on to produce her debut EP.
DROPOUT was written in Chicago in 2008, while The Chief attended High School there. More than 25 registered school kids/teens were killed in shootings that school year. But The Chief discovered that the ones that are Dropouts from the school system are not part of the statistics. She got so appalled that she wrote this song about the issue. This song is for all those who are "invisible" and have fallen outside the system.
