That’s how I picture the perfect place where I want to live. I picture Ipil as the perfect place to live. My advocacy is to promote cleanliness towards my municipality a pollution free municipality, eco-friendly and healthy lifestyle. My municipality takes pride in promoting Buluan Island marine sanctuary that could compete in countries beautiful beaches. I would like to implement cleanliness especially in these area that can surely create impact eco-tourism to the lives of other people.
In the year 2012, Ipil thru BIMS or which known as Buluan Island Marine Sanctuary was included in the 13 sites in the country that implemented a Pride Campaign thru the support of USAID and Rare, a conservation NGO based in Arlington, Virginia USA. The visitors of the island came from local and foreign. As reflected in the logbook, international tourists include Russians, German, Australian and Americans. Among local tourists, the most notable are the 2013 Ms. Earth Beauties headed by Ms. Angelee De Los Reyes, Ms. Alma Cabasal, Nancy Leonard and Ms Bernadette Aguirre.

Zamboanga Sibugay is a province of the Philippines located in the Zamboanga Peninsula region in Mindanao. Its capital is Ipil and it borders Zamboanga del Norte to the north, Zamboanga del Sur to the east and Zamboanga City to the southwest. To the south lies Sibuguey Bay in the Moro Gulf. Zamboanga Sibugay was created in 2001 when the third district of Zamboanga del Sur was carved out of that province. Zamboanga Sibugay is the 79th province created in the Philippines.
As of the 2000 census, Zamboanga Sibugay has a population of 497,239 people, and a population density of 161/km2. It is ranked 29th among the provinces of the Philippines in terms of both population and population density. The annual population growth rate is 16.09%.
The vast majority of the people of Zamboanga Sibugay speak Cebuano. Other languages such as Hiligaynon, Subanen, Zamboangueño/Chavacano, Tagalog and other ethnic tongues are also spoken, so is English.
The leading industries are in the areas of bakery, rice and corn milling, food processing, and rattan and wood furniture production. New industries include concrete products, garments, wax and candle factory, and other cottage industries.

Waluwalu Seasnake Sanctuary of Olutanga Island, Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines is a well-known tourist spot in Western Mindanao. Around 8 thousand seasnakes of different shapes and sizes are taken cared of by Noy Tiro. From Zamboanga City, a boat going to Olutanga Island costs around 320 pesos. Travel by boat is overnight. Trips are only during Mondays and Fridays. From Olutanga Island proper to the seasnake sanctuary is only around 45 minutes. You will be renting a boat from Noy Tiro (the seasnake caretaker) that can accommodate at most 8 people. You will pay 1,500. This is already good for back and forth. The most ideal time to go there is during early in the morning because it is high tide. -

Our group finally checks into our shared dorm at Dakak Resort. We had a group package and used shared dorm rooms with bunk beds. We enjoy the longest dual zip-line in Asia (1.34 kms), the beach, and swimming pools.

WARNING! I do NOT recommend Mindanao region for inexperienced, or solo foreign travellers. If you do go to Mindanao, travel with local Filipino's and stay in safe and well researched areas. Security has improved in recent years, but can change very quickly. There are active criminal and terrorist groups in Mindanao, that target foreigners for kidnappings and attacks.
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
It is important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
It is common for taxi drivers in Manila, and every other city, to try rip off or overcharge foreigners and tourists. This includes motorbikes, or pedicabs / trike taxi. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start. Ask local security and your hotel what it costs for transport to your destination. If you are not comfortable, don't use that taxi. Don't be afraid to move on and find another taxi!
Shopping mall culture, locals love the mall for the aircon and to get out of the heat.
Generally you will notice ash and dust particles in the air as burning trash and charcoal BBQ cooking is quite common. Also if there is a lot of vehicle traffic in that city from jeepney buses, motorbikes, trucks and cars.
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be firm and confident, but always be respectful and polite. Shop around, you can often get a better price. Ask around about local fair pricing for things you want to do.
"Tip" can also mean bribe, so don't be afraid to ask what you're paying for upfront. Locals often do things to try help you, but then expect a tip.
The average basic worker earns PHP200 - 300 a day. So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine.

Gloria's Fantasyland amusement park, plenty of fun rides and live entertainment. There was also beauty pageant queens who did a big night parade, Festival of Colors, and firework show. Out front at Gloria's, there was a beauty pageant, and live band at Gloria's, outside of Fantasyland. Plenty of beautiful Filipinas.
