The Alaska Statistical Analysis Center recently released an AJSAC Fact Sheet - Juvenile Justice Referrals and Charges in Alaska, FY 2006-2015. This fact sheet presents juvenile justice statistics from the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) for state fiscal years 2006–2015. It includes the total number of referrals made to DJJ by law enforcement, the total number of charges by class and offense type, and the number of unique juveniles referred to DJJ. Read More.

The West Virginia Statistical Analysis Center recently released Recidivism by Direct Sentence Clients Released from Day Report Centers in 2011: Predictors and Patterns over Time. The purpose of the study was to investigate the factors that affect the likelihood Day Report Centers (DRC) clients will be arrested, booked into jail, or incarcerated within 2 years of release.

The Alaska Statistical Analysis Center recently released an AJSAC Fact Sheet - Alaska Trauma Registry: Trauma Admissions Involving Alcohol or Illegal Drugs, 2014 The Alaska Trauma Registry (ATR) is an active surveillance system that collects data pertaining to hospitalizations of the most seriously injured patients in Alaska. This fact sheet presents data from the ATR - specifically, numbers of trauma admissions, patient demographics, and the presence of alcohol or illegal drugs in trauma admissions for 2014. Read More.

The Colorado Statistical Analysis Center recently released Correctional Population Forecasts. This legislatively mandated report provides projections of adult prison and parole populations and juvenile detention, commitment, and parole populations to the Governor's Office and the General Assembly on an annual basis.

Evidence-Based Practices Toolkit

JRSA, in partnership with the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), has produced the second in a series of "toolkits" on promoting the use of evidence-based practices in State Administering Agencies (SAAs).

The Third toolkit, Sustaining Evidence-Based Practices, includes a Briefing Paper, an Executive Summary, and a PowerPoint Slides. The slideshow can be tailored by SAAs to highlight their own efforts in promoting evidence-based practices in their state.
