Jane's Addiction have announced a 25th-anniversary tour of their 1990 breakthrough album 'Ritual de lo Habitual', their third studio album, which preceded the rocker's first break up in 1991.
The album is split into two parts, with a heavy first half that includes ten minutes of silence. The second half of the album - in memory of Perry Farrell's friend Xiola Blue, who died of a heroin overdose in 1987 - has more diverse influences.
Six American dates will see Jane's Addiction supported by Dinosaur Jr and Living Colour, and will take place in the build up to a festival appearance at Lollapalooza in July. Lollapalooza will also be celebrating their 25th anniversary.

Jane's Addiction's most recent return after a number of splits came in 2008. They've released only four albums since their formation more than thirty years ago, and only two since 1990. Most recent album 'The Great Escape Artist' came out in 2011.
Back in 2012, Perry Farrell said he had more than 60 tracks written for a fifth album which is yet to emerge, though single 'Another Soulmate' was released in 2013.
Farrell said at the time:"I haven't written this much or been this prolific since I started when I was in my 20s. It's been coming out fantastic. I'm super excited. Everything will really start to gel and come together probably this time next year."
He continued: "It's not going to be [a continuation of] 'The Great Escape Artist'. I had thought that it would be a great idea. However, I just came up with this other twist to doing the next record. At this point I want to start fresh with a fresh angle."
