Working for Irish and Irish Travellers living in Greater Manchester.
Irish documents
We can help you apply for an Irish passport or Irish birth certificate. We have application forms for Irish passports at both our offices, and if you send us a stamped addressed envelope, we will post one out to you.
Over 50 social groups
We have weekly social groups for over 50s across Manchester, Salford and Trafford. They include a lunch and activities such as dancing, arts and crafts, bingo and raffles and exercises.
Advice and information
We provide advice and information at our offices in Cheetham Hill and Levenshulme through drop in or appointments. If you need help with issues including benefits, housing or social services, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
Outreach
If you need support but you can’t make it to one of our offices our social groups, we can arrange for a member of staff to come and visit you. We will do our best to meet you wherever is most convenient to you, whether that’s at home, in hospital, at school, in prison or at a community centre.
We also have volunteers who can visit you as a befriender.
Bereavement
We support people from the Irish community who have recently lost loved ones. This includes support regarding burial, repatriation for burial in Ireland or help sorting out someone’s affairs.
We also offer burial for people who are Irish but have no next of kin so that those who would otherwise have a pauper’s burial can be buried in a dignified way.
Irish Travellers
We have a dedicated Irish Traveller worker who works with members of the Traveller community and other organisations to make sure Travellers have access to the same support as settled people.
Other projects
We’ve recently launched a new allotment project for men over the age of 50 in Levenshulme. For more information, contact 0161 205 9105.
We also provide support for survivors of institutional abuse.

We’re run by a small team of staff and a dedicated group of around 50 volunteers.
