Who we are

Bradford Alliance on Community Care (BACC) is the voice and influence section of Equality Together.

BACC was set up in 1989 by community and voluntary groups and organisations to strengthen the voices of community care service users and carers in the planning of health and social care services across the Bradford Metropolitan District. In April 2015 we merged with Bradford Disability Services Ltd and CONTACT Peer Support to create a new disabled people led organisation called Equality Together.

What we do

We work with disabled people, older people, and those who use housing support services. We aim to encourage inclusion and combat disadvantage, bridging the gap between communities and service planners.

We support the empowerment of disadvantaged people, so that they can take a proactive role to influence services that can contribute to their own well-being, rather than merely being recipients of help which may or may not meet their particular needs.

Taking part

Equality Together believes that community development activities have positive impacts on physical and mental health, as well as helping to develop services which better meet people's needs.
