Youth Theatre Northwest (YTN) is a 32 year old non-profit, arts education organization in Mercer Island - a suburb of Seattle, WA. In June of 2014, the lease on our 30 year home (a former middle school) was terminated. Our building was reclaimed by the school district due to class overcrowding. We watched with heavy hearts as our beloved building was bulldozed to the ground. But we are excited for the new elementary school that will rise from the rubble. Now our staff offices, classrooms, storage, and theaters are all in different locations around town. Theatre making is much harder now but we still believe in our kids and the importance of art in their lives, and therefore we continue to press on. Our new home at The Mercer Island Center for the Arts (MICA) is still in the works and without the dedication and support from our community, MICA and YTN will cease to exist. Today YTN is deep in the trenches and we need your support to pull us through this difficult transition. We love our children and will never stop supporting their dreams and talents.
