The Dodge Viper is one of the world's greatest remaining analog supercars. Front engine, rear drive, manual gearbox, it's perfection, at least for a certain segment of car enthusiasts. This latest version of the Dodge Viper is the ACR, which stands for American Club Racer, and it's the most hardcore and fastest Viper ever made. Dodge held the launch event for the Viper ACR at Virginia International Raceway, a place where I've raced Vipers, and it's a circuit that has everything, from high speed, hang it all out corners, to low speed, technical sections. Whether this Viper ACR is sitting quietly or bellowing around the circuit, it has the unmistakable presence of a racing car. No, it’s not just similar to a racing car. Rather, it looks exactly like something engineered for competition. How does the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR drive? Let's find out.

The Dodge Viper is one of the world's greatest remaining analog supercars. Front engine, rear drive, manual gearbox, it's perfection, at least for a certain segment of car enthusiasts. This latest version of the Dodge Viper is the ACR, which stands for American Club Racer, and it's the most hardcore and fastest Viper ever made.
