New Hampshire Liberty Forum

The New Hampshire Liberty Forum is an annual convention-style conference hosted by the Free State Project. It has attracted attendees such as U.S. Presidential candidates, a sitting U.S. Senator, a sitting U.S. Representative, state legislators, well-known businesspersons, entrepreneurs, and numerous policy institutes.

The conference is one of two annual events hosted by the Free State Project in an effort to recruit 20,000 individuals with libertarian ideals to move to New Hampshire, the other being the Porcupine Freedom Festival. As of February 3, 2016, the group has 20,000 participants signed on, hence completing the original goal. The signatories are now expected to move to New Hampshire by 2022, 5 years after the end of the drive.

2016 conference

The 2016 New Hampshire Liberty Forum will be held from February 18 through February 21, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, New Hampshire. The 2016 conference will be the first since the last of the participants signed 2 weeks previous. The theme of the 2016 conference will be "Living Liberty," which will focus on participants who've already moved to New Hampshire and how they are exploring and expanding their personal liberties there.

Stefan Molyneux

Stefan Basil Molyneux (/stɛˈfæn ˈmɑːlɪnjuː/; born September 24, 1966) is a Canadian blogger. Molyneux's areas of interest include anarcho-capitalism, secular ethics, libertarianism, cryptocurrencies, and familial relationships. He is a self-published author and has spoken at libertarian conferences and on podcasts. Molyneux formerly worked in the software industry.

Background

Molyneux was born in Ireland and moved to Canada when he was about 12 years old. After attending the Glendon College of York University, where he was a member of Theatre Glendon and the Debating Society, he attended the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. Molyneux received a B.A. in History from McGill University in 1991 and an M.A. in History from University of Toronto in 1993.

In early 1995, he and his brother Hugh founded Caribou Systems Corporation, a Toronto-based provider of environmental database software. Stefan was the salesman for the company. The company was sold in 2000.

Molyneux was raised in the Protestant Christian tradition, however describes himself as an atheist.
