Industry
Industry is the production of goods or services within an economy. The major source of revenue of a group or company is the indicator of its relevant industry. When a large group has multiple sources of revenue generation, it is considered to be working in different industries. Manufacturing industry became a key sector of production and labour in European and North American countries during the Industrial Revolution, upsetting previous mercantile and feudal economies. This occurred through many successive rapid advances in technology, such as the production of steel and coal.
Following the Industrial Revolution, possibly a third of the world's economic output is derived that is from manufacturing industries. Many developed countries and many developing/semi-developed countries (People's Republic of China, India etc.) depend significantly on manufacturing industry. Industries, the countries they reside in, and the economies of those countries are interlinked in a complex web of interdependence.

Ballroom
A ballroom is a large room inside a building, the designated purpose of which is holding large formal parties called balls. Traditionally, most balls were held in private residences; many mansions contain one or more ballrooms. In other large houses, a large room such as the main drawing room, long gallery, or hall may double as a ballroom, but a good ballroom should have the right type of flooring, such as hardwood flooring or stone flooring (usually marble).
Ballrooms are generally quite large, and may have ceilings higher than other rooms in the same building. The large amount of space for dancing, as well as the highly formal tone of events have given rise to ballroom dancing. The largest balls are now nearly always held in public buildings, and many hotels have a ballroom. They are also designed large to help the sound of orchestras carry well throughout the whole room.
A special case is the annual Vienna Opera Ball, where, just for one night, the auditorium of the Vienna State Opera is turned into a large ballroom. On the eve of the event, the rows of seats are removed from the stalls, and a new floor, level with the stage, is built.

Ep 045 Remembering Sal DiMaria Sal DiMaria was an integral part of the ballroom dance industry in the United States. His career began at Arthur Murray's back in the 1950's. Sal was presented an award in 1954 by Kathryn Murray herself. He taught dance lessons to the soldiers during the Korean conflict. The Mambo Marino was named after him. Mayor John Campbell, of Columbia, South Carolina, proclaimed “Dance Day” in Sal’s honor in 1976. He was part of the Shag becoming the state dance of South Carolina. Sal passed away on January 11, 2016, and this episode of On the Ballroom Beat celebrates his life.

Centuries later, humanity finds new hope in King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Through a mysterious turn of fate The Knights discover Black Water, a mystical liquid that significantly extends their lifetimes and gives them remarkable healing abilities. Despite this new advantage the half breeds continue to win battle after battle, until the industrial Revolution turns the tide. Engineers are far ahead of their time, inventing technologies such as thermal imaging, Zeppelins, and wireless communications. New weapons belch electricity, ignite clouds of molten metal on top of enemies, and fulfill dual functions as fragmentation grenades and proximity mines.

The 14th edition of Vasantham’s prestigious Awards extravaganza, Pradhana Vizha saw a total of 27 awards being given out to the best in the local Indian television industry. The glitzy and glamorous Awards show was held 31 July 2014 at the grand Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore ballroom after 8 years.
Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Communications and Information graced the show and presented the most prestigious award of the night, the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award went to Mr. Manimaran Thorasamy, a dancer, choreographer and artistic director of the dance troupe, Manimaran Creations, for his 35 years of contribution to the local Indian media.
The remaining 26 awards were awarded in the Programme, Performance, and Technical Categories together with the Most Popular Male and Female Personalities, Most Popular Drama Song and Most Popular Programme Awards.
Vasantham actress-host Udaya Soundari emerged as the biggest winner at this year’s Pradhana Vizha by bagging 3 awards out of 4 nominations. Udaya won the Best Actress for ‘Veethi Varai’, Best Host (Info-Ed) for ‘Rayil Sneham’ and Most Popular Female Personality Award, a category voted by viewers via SMS.
Other notable award winners were Sivakumar Palakrishnan bagging the Best Actor Award for ‘Veethi Varai’, Soundrarajan Jeeva winning the Best Actor/Actress in a Comedy Role for ‘My Very Dear Kudumbam’ and V.Mohan winning the Best Actor/Actress in a Villain Role for ‘Veethi Varai’, both of which are new categories introduced in Pradhana Vizha 2014.
MediaCorp Eaglevision’s drama Veethi Verai was a notable winner as WELL . Besides churning the Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Actor in a Villain Role, the drama also clinched the Best Drama Series and Best Videography (Drama) awards.
Yasini Murugayah walked away with the Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘Vanjam’ while Siva Kuma walked away with the Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Nasi Briyani’.
Udaya’s co-hosts Saravanan Ayyavoo and Jaynesh Isuran did not go home empty handed as WELL. Saravanan Ayyavoo bagged the award for Best Host (Variety) for ‘Amarkala Deepavali 2013’ while Jaynesh bagged the Most Popular Male Personality award.
