Eamon Ryan TD
Green Party Leader and TD for Dublin Bay South
Eamon has spent the last twenty years working at the highest policy level in local government, the Dáil, the Council of Ministers, and more recently in some of the most influential organisations in the world.
Catherine Martin TD
Deputy Leader and TD for Dublin Rathdown
Catherine represents the constituency of Dublin Rathdown. As Green Party Education Spokesperson, she is committed to equality of access and opportunity in education.
Cllr. Roderic O’Gorman
Green Party Chairperson/Cathaoirleach and Councillor for Castleknock, Fingal County Council
Roderic is a law lecturer in the School of Law and Government in DCU. He is committed to improved education, public transport provision and proper planning.
Cllr. Ciarán Cuffe
North Inner City, Dublin City Council
Ciarán is an architect and planner and has campaigned for many years for a vibrant city as a Dubliner, Councillor and Minister for Planning.
Cllr. Claire Byrne
Pembroke-South Dock, Dublin City Council
Claire is an Environmental Education Specialist developing education programmes and events for schools nationwide.
Cllr. David Healy
Howth-Malahide, Fingal County Council
David has a Degree in Law and a Masters Degree in Environmental Science. He is a Policy and Advocacy Officer with Oxfam Ireland.
Cllr. Ossian Smyth
Dún Laoghaire, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
Ossian is a Technical Consultant in Saint Vincent’s Hospital. He volunteers as a CoderDojo mentor and is adviser to the European Parliament Green Energy Experts group.
Cllr. Francis Duffy
Rathfarnham, South Dublin County Council
Francis is a lecturer in the Dublin School of Architecture, DIT. He is also an artist and coach of his local GAA club.
Cllr. Malcolm Noonan
Kilkenny City-West, Kilkenny County Council
Malcolm has been a Green Party Kilkenny Borough & County Councillor for over 10 years and is a former Mayor of Kilkenny.
Cllr. Marianne Butler
Dundalk-South, Louth County Council
Marianne is a business graduate of Trinity College Dublin. She has been a Green Party Councillor in Dundalk since 2009 and in 2011 became Cathaoirleach of Dundalk Town Council.
Cllr. Mark Dearey
Dundalk-Carlingford, Louth County Council
Mark was the first Green Party Councillor to be elected in Louth in 2004, he was re-elected in 2009. He was appointed to Seanad Eireann in February 2010.
Cllr. Steven Matthews
Bray, Wicklow County Council
Steven has been an electrician at Irish Rail for 25 years. He holds a BSc in Planning & Environmental Management from DIT.
Cllr. Patrick Costello
Rathgar-Rathmines, Dublin City Council
Patrick topped the poll in his area in the 2014 local elections. Educated at UCD and Trinity, he works with vulnerable communities including the homeless and the young.

Dundrum, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
Karen is a strategy consultant and change management specialist. She is a particularly passionate for how technology and innovation can help tackle climate change.

Green Economy
With a highly-skilled workforce, access to international capital and markets and a growing start-up mentality, Ireland is well placed to become a hub of activity in the Green Economy.
Housing and Homelessness Policy
In order to avoid the boom and bust mistakes of the past and capitalise on existing State resources, the Green Party believes in a fundamental rethinking of housing provision in Ireland.
Health
The Green Party believes in a systematic approach to healthcare, built around patient empowerment and preventative methods, supported by universal healthcare accessed on the basis of medical need.
Food
Ireland is renowned for its food. Our agricultural sector supports thousands of jobs and the Green Party is committed to working for a vibrant, successful and green agriculture industry.
Marine
As an island nation we have one of the greatest marine resources in Europe. That resource needs to be managed responsibly.
Forestry
A sustainable Irish forestry industry can have a central role in Ireland’s developing green economy while also delivering important ecological and cultural heritage and amenity benefits.
Environment
All Green Party policies are formed with the environment in mind. That environment includes the world we live in and our shared values. It's a whole new approach to living well, freely, in peace and in harmony with our natural surroundings.
Water
Provision of water must be fair with sufficient allowances, help for those who cannot afford to pay, and a constitutional amendment which guarantees that the water of Ireland will never be privatised.
Economics and Finance
Ireland needs a sustainable economic model that benefits society as a whole.
Reproductive Rights Policy
The Green Party supports the holding of a referendum to allow the people of Ireland determine whether or not the 8th Amendment should be repealed.
Digital
Ireland has the potential to be a world leader in the new technologies sector. The Digital economy is vital to Ireland’s growth and IT plays an ever increasing role in our daily lives.
Energy
A modern Ireland needs a modern energy supply. The Green Party believes renewable energy will reduce costs for households and businesses, cut fossil fuel imports and help combat climate change.
Justice
Ireland’s justice system is in need of reform and that requires new thinking about how we tackle crime in all sectors of society.
Transport
Our Green Party Transport Policy focuses on how we’re going to adapt to growing populations across our towns, cities and countryside.
Education
Removing barriers to education, at all levels, is a key policy of the Green Party. Investment in education benefits all of society.
Irish Language
The Irish language is an important cultural resource for the people of Ireland.
School Dinner Policy
By caring for the nation’s children and providing healthy, nutritionally -balanced school meals, the State would make an important investment in the future.
Political Reform Policy
The Green Party is campaiging for Political Reform including a directly elected Seanad, votes for emigrants and the reduction of the voting age to 16.
