Le film est centré sur la construction par Louis XIII et l'aménagement ultérieur par Louis XIV et Louis XV du palais de Versailles. Il relate longuement la vie d'un cour brillante et fastueuse et plus tard les événements de la Révolution et les divers épisodes historiques qui se sont déroulés à Versailles.
Le film fut entrepris parallèlement à la gigantesque recherche de fonds entreprise afin de réparer, de restaurer et de rendre son luxe (en particulier en retrouvant et rachetant meubles, lambris, tapisseries, accessoires, oeuvres d'art, etc. dispersés à la Révolution et ensuite) à ce monument unique au monde. Bien des années plus tard, le film fut projeté à la télévision dans le cadre des Dossiers de l'écran et l'un des principaux artisans (avec son épouse américaine) de ces immenses travaux, l'ancien Conservateur Jean van der Kemp put dire le bonheur qu'il avait eu à travailler avec Guitry et l'énorme impact qu'avait eu le film dans le lancement de cette oeuvre littéralement pharaonique qui, aujourd'hui en 2011, n'est toujours pas terminée.
Guitry a pris quelques libertés avec l'histoire de France : il gomme toute la Régence, et escamote le personnage de la Comtesse du Barry, en dernière favorite de Louis XV. Louis XIV, à l'article de la mort, reçoit son architecte, et lui donne des indications en mesures métriques, alors que c'est la Révolution qui allait instituer le système métrique. En regard de la qualité du film et de l'impact patrimonial qu'il eut, ces infimes détails n'ont évidemment pas la moindre importance.

Jason Mraz (
/məˈræz/; born June 23, 1977 in Mechanicsville, Virginia) is an American singer-songwriter. Mraz released his debut album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come, which contained the hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)", in 2002, but it was not until the release of his second album, Mr. A-Z, in 2005, that Mraz achieved major commercial success. The album peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and sold over 100,000 copies in the US. In 2008, Mraz released his third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and was a commercial success worldwide, peaking in the top ten of many international charts.
Mraz's international breakthrough came with the release of the single "I'm Yours" from the album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. The single peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Mraz his first top ten single. The song was on the Hot 100 for 76 weeks, beating the previous record of 69 weeks held by LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live". The song was a huge commercial success in the US, receiving a 5x platinum certification from the RIAA for sales of over five million. The song was successful internationally, topping the charts in New Zealand and Norway and peaking in the top ten of multiple international charts.

Il relate longuement la vie d'un cour brillante et fastueuse et plus tard les événements de la Révolution et les divers épisodes historiques qui se sont déroulés à Versailles. Le film fut entrepris parallèlement à la gigantesque recherche de fonds entreprise afin de réparer, de restaurer et de rendre son luxe (en particulier en retrouvant et rachetant meubles, lambris, tapisseries, accessoires, oeuvres d'art, etc. dispersés à la Révolution et ensuite) à ce monument unique au monde. Bien des années plus tard, le film fut projeté à la télévision dans le cadre des Dossiers de l'écran et l'un des principaux artisans (avec son épouse américaine) de ces immenses travaux, l'ancien Conservateur Jean van der Kemp put dire le bonheur qu'il avait eu à travailler avec Guitry et l'énorme impact qu'avait eu le film dans le lancement de cette oeuvre littéralement pharaonique qui, aujourd'hui en 2011, n'est toujours pas terminée. Guitry a pris quelques libertés avec l'histoire de France : il gomme toute la Régence, et escamote le personnage de la Comtesse du Barry, en dernière favorite de Louis XV. Louis XIV, à l'article de la mort, reçoit son architecte, et lui donne des indications en mesures métriques, alors que c'est la Révolution qui allait instituer le système métrique. En regard de la qualité du film et de l'impact patrimonial qu'il eut, ces infimes détails n'ont évidemment pas la moindre importance. -

Il relate longuement la vie d'un cour brillante et fastueuse et plus tard les événements de la Révolution et les divers épisodes historiques qui se sont déroulés à Versailles.
Le film fut entrepris parallèlement à la gigantesque recherche de fonds entreprise afin de réparer, de restaurer et de rendre son luxe (en particulier en retrouvant et rachetant meubles, lambris, tapisseries, accessoires, oeuvres d'art, etc. dispersés à la Révolution et ensuite) à ce monument unique au monde. Bien des années plus tard, le film fut projeté à la télévision dans le cadre des Dossiers de l'écran et l'un des principaux artisans (avec son épouse américaine) de ces immenses travaux, l'ancien Conservateur Jean van der Kemp put dire le bonheur qu'il avait eu à travailler avec Guitry et l'énorme impact qu'avait eu le film dans le lancement de cette oeuvre littéralement pharaonique qui, aujourd'hui en 2011, n'est toujours pas terminée.
Guitry a pris quelques libertés avec l'histoire de France : il gomme toute la Régence, et escamote le personnage de la Comtesse du Barry, en dernière favorite de Louis XV. Louis XIV, à l'article de la mort, reçoit son architecte, et lui donne des indications en mesures métriques, alors que c'est la Révolution qui allait instituer le système métrique. En regard de la qualité du film et de l'impact patrimonial qu'il eut, ces infimes détails n'ont évidemment pas la moindre importance.

The following year, in march, 2013 we recorded a EP called HOME AT LEAST (on free download at our Soundcloud page). When this project came up our musical influences were mainly sixties psychedelic grooves.
