John Lynch is a former
Los Angeles County Head
Deputy District Attorney. He joined the office in
1977 and served as prosecutor on many high profile cases including the Menendez brothers murder trial.
Lynch was subsequently the founding Head Deputy District Attorney of the Environmental
Crimes Division which became the model for environmental prosecutors throughout
California. He held top positions in the administrations of various elected
District Attorneys including Head Deputy DA of the Environmental Crimes /
OSHA Division, Head Deputy DA of the
Santa Monica,
Norwalk and
Airport Branch Offices and
Director of
