This is an unedited interview that I did with composer Michael Masser (1941–2015) that was done for an evening TV magazine show called "PM Magazine" that was never aired because the show was cancelled before there was time to edit it and schedule it for airing.
Masser composed the music for such hit songs as 'Touch Me in the Morning," "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)," "It's My Turn," "Saving All My Love for You," "The Greatest Love of All," "Hold Me," "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love," "If Ever You're in My Arms Again," "Didn't We Almost Have It All," etc.
He worked with some of the biggest pop music artists of the 1970's and 1980's including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, George Benson, Barbra Streisand, Robert Flack, Peabo Bryson, Teddy Pendergrass, and Jeffrey Osborne.
After the Masser interview, there is a short interview with Jeffrey Osborne (who wrote the lyrics to the Masser song "All at Once") discussing what it was like working with Michael Masser. Michael Masser
Michael William Masser (March 24, 1941 – July 9, 2015) was an American songwriter, composer and producer of popular music.
Early life
Born to a Jewish family in Chicago to Ester Huff and William Masser, he attended the University of Illinois College of Law. He became a stockbroker, but left to pursue his interest in music.
Career
Masser's first major composition hit, co-written with Ron Miller, was "Touch Me in the Morning", recorded by Diana Ross. He co-wrote several other hit songs in the 1970s and 1980s, including four made famous by Whitney Houston, "Greatest Love of All" (which was first sung by George Benson), "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "Saving All My Love for You" and "All At Once". His other hit songs include "Hold Me" (Teddy Pendergrass and Whitney Houston), "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" (Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson), "If Ever You're in My Arms Again" (Peabo Bryson), "In Your Eyes" (Jeffrey Osborne, George Benson), "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" (George Benson, Glenn Medeiros), "Miss You Like Crazy" (Natalie Cole) and "Someone That I Used To Love" (Natalie Cole), "So Sad the Song" (Teddy Pendergrass, Gladys Knight), and "It's My Turn" and "Last Time I Saw Him" (Diana Ross). A country cover of "Last Time I Saw Him" by Dottie West also became a hit, peaking at #8 on the country charts. Masser was nominated for an Academy Award in 1976 for Best Music, Original Song, for "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)," which he wrote with Gerry Goffin. The song had actually been first recorded (also in 1975) by fellow Motown labelmate Thelma Houston as a planned single but was pulled before release. Diana Ross' version was released as the theme song for her 1975 film, Mahogany. Among the many recordings that which Masser produced are Barbra Streisand's "Someone That I Used to Love" (originally a hit for Natalie Cole) and the duet by Judy Collins and T. G. Sheppard, "Home Again".

The Greatest Love
The Greatest Love (Hangul: 최고의 사랑; RR: Choego-ui Sarang; also known as Best Love) is a 2011 South Korean romantic comedy television series about true love in the fake world of entertainment. Starring Cha Seung-won, Gong Hyo-jin, Yoon Kye-sang and Yoo In-na, it aired on MBC from May 4 to June 23, 2011 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes.
Plot
Gu Ae-jung (Gong Hyo-jin) was the most popular member of girl group Kukbo Sonyeo, literally meaning "National Treasure Girls," some 10 years ago, but fell from grace after becoming embroiled in scandals. She makes appearances on television programs to eke out a living for her troublemaker father and brother.
On the other hand Dokko Jin (Cha Seung-won) is the most beloved star in the nation, topping all kinds of popularity polls and appearing in many commercials, but has several character flaws. Ae-jung discovers a secret about Jin by chance and reveals it on a talk show, incurring his fury. However, their ill-fated relationship unfolds in an unexpected way as Jin falls for Ae-jung and tries to win her heart.

Bennett was a songwriter who often wrote for Elvis but had a massive worldwide hit with “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” (1948).

Sharif's first English-language role was that of Sharif Ali in David Lean's historical epic Lawrence of Arabia in 1962.[20] This performance earned him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture, as well as a shared Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year – Actor.
In 1965, Sharif reunited with Lean in order to play the title role in the epic love story Doctor Zhivago (1965), an adaptation of Boris Pasternak's 1957 novel, which was banned in the USSR for 30 years.[27][28] Set during World War I and the Russian Revolution, Sharif played the role of Yuri Zhivago, a poet and physician. Film historian Constantine Santas explained that Lean intended the film to be a poetic portrayal of the period, with large vistas of landscapes combined with a powerful score by Maurice Jarre. This is an unedited interview that I did with composer Michael Masser (1941–2015) that was done for an evening TV magazine show called "PM Magazine" that was never aired because the show was cancelled before there was time to edit it and schedule it for airing.
Masser composed the music for such hit songs as 'Touch Me in the Morning," "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)," "It's My Turn," "Saving All My Love for You," "The Greatest Love of All," "Hold Me," "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love," "If Ever You're in My Arms Again," "Didn't We Almost Have It All," etc.
He worked with some of the biggest pop music artists of the 1970's and 1980's including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, George Benson, Barbra Streisand, Robert Flack, Peabo Bryson, Teddy Pendergrass, and Jeffrey Osborne.
After the Masser interview, there is a short interview with Jeffrey Osborne (who wrote the lyrics to the Masser song "All at Once") discussing what it was like working with Michael Masser.
