Animal Park

Animal Park is a BBC television documentary series about the lives of keepers and animals at Longleat Safari Park, Wiltshire, England.

Main series

The first series of Animal Park, originally broadcast in 2000 on BBC One, was presented by Kate Humble and Paul Heiney. In series two, Heiney was replaced by Ben Fogle. Altogether, there have been nine series and 205 episodes of Animal Park, with the last episode originally airing on 25 March 2009.

The forerunner to Animal Park was a BBC One series called Lion Country, also filmed at Longleat Safari Park, which aired in 1998 and 1999 with a total of 55 episodes.

Content

It mainly focuses on the animals, keepers, and day-to-day running of the safari park. Some of the animals captured the hearts of the viewing public, including the late tiger 'Kadu', the late rhinos 'Babs' and 'Winston', and Europe's oldest silverback gorilla, 'Nico', who celebrated his 50th birthday in 2011.

Lord Bath, owner of the Longleat estate, regularly appears in the show. Animal Park also documents the running of Longleat House and the ongoing preservation of its historic contents.

Wild Animal

Wild Animal is the 1984 debut solo album by Canadian singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Vanity, released by Motown Records on November 10, 1984. This out of print recording was originally released on LP (6102ML) and cassette (6102MC). Despite her thin vocals, Wild Animal is a respectable solo debut. The singer's lyrics, often risqué, are not as raunchy as her work with Vanity 6.

The album features R&B/dance hit, lead single "Pretty Mess". The song is an infectious slice of funk-rock with a groove that sounds like's she's making an honest effort to forge head.Wild Animal is essentially an R&B album laced with big doses of rock and pop.

Park

A park is an area of natural, semi-natural, or planted space set aside for human enjoyment and recreation or for the protection of wildlife or natural habitats. It may consist of grassy areas, rocks, soil, and trees, but may also contain buildings and other artifacts such as monuments, fountains or playground structures. In North America, many parks have fields for playing sports such as soccer, baseball and football, and paved areas for games such as basketball. Many parks have trails for walking, biking and other activities. Some parks are built adjacent to bodies of water or watercourses, and these parks may comprise a beach or boat dock area.
