After his acclaimed first album "Sternklang", THOLEN now offers us his new album "Neuropol". Neuropol is the name of a fictional city where bleak scenarios of a post-apocalyptic world are painted. A society divided in two distinct classes populates this contaminated place, a lethargic mass of working slaves on the surface trapped in vast industrial landscapes and the elite underground, who direct their doings while gaining power from rituals for the church of Miro. This is a time of imminent change and possible revolution, since the slaves gathered spiritual power for resistance. This album reveals the darkest corners of these subterranean temples, deadly industrial complexes and hostile slums, where those enslaved are in search of spiritual salvation from mass control and misery . A roadmap of the winding paths of the oppression of flesh and spirit. Come to learn about the beauty of impending decay. Come to Neuropol. The music follows in the foot steps of his previous album with deep, multilayered ambient passages of unworldly proportions.

From Sternklang (Cyclic Law 20th Cycle).
Sternklang. The noise of the stars.
The first striking thing we find in this half-marathonian piece of music is the peculiar feeling of isolation coming from dark ambient albums set in deep unknown space. Drones reverberating beyond the infinity, an imaginary wind blowing through the nothingness surrounding us. The sensation to be left alone, lost in a limitless bath of void with no beacon at human sight.
But soon, the hopeless solitude leaves room to impenetrable whispers. Errating radio transmissions. Insidious mumblings reaching our ears without understanding how or from where. Seemingly alien synths start to emerge from the darkness fractured every so often by the flickering light of dying stars.
A threatening tocsin rings, guiding what we picture as extraterrestrial radio conversations towards us, probably announcing our imminent abduction. Or is it ? Aren't these sounds relayed as a distant echo because of the stars, expulsing electromagnetic pulses sounding like voices in our transmitters ? Or aren't we just consumed from the inside by the evergrowing loneliness, creating voices inside our heads to only feel we are not going to die alone ? To feel a little warmth before leaving this life in the most anonymous and pathetic way ?
Sternklang is not only a monolithic track of deep space ambient. I see it as a questionning of our sanity if we ever had to be left behind in the outer cosmos, offering a plausible hypothesis on our state of mind at the verge of breaking down and passing the event horizon.

Stadsomroeper Gatze de Moed opent de optocht en eigenlijk kan dit ook niet anders. Gatze is al jarenlang de stadsomroeper van de Gemeente Tholen. Diverse klederdrachtverenigingen uit de provincie Zeeland waaronder natuurlijk onze eigen Thoolse Stichting Streekdracht zullen acte de presence geven. Een echte schapendrijver laat de natuur van Zeeland beleven, maar ook is er Thoolse inbreng van o.a. Sjaloom, Zeilschool TG17 en van de bewoners van de straat Cromvliet. Deze laatste pakken echt uit en hebben er werk van gemaakt. Er is nog één deelnemer waarover de organisatie niet veel prijs wil geven. Ze noemen het: iets groots, opvallends en uniek. Waar niemand omheen kan en één van de eyecatchers zal zijn van de parade. Wat dit is ? Daar zult u achter komen wanneer u de optocht gaat bezoeken. Ook veel muziek van het beste wat de showkorpsenwereld te bieden heeft: Holland Bicycle Showband Crescendo - Opende Een internationaal bekende showband op fietsen (!) die al in vele landen heeft opgetreden zoals in Roemenie, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Belgie, Maleisie, Turkije, China.... Een fanfare op fietsen. Puur Hollands en dat bewijzen ze in Volendams kostuum inclusief klompen !

Tholen (
pronunciation ) is a municipality in the southwest of the Netherlands. The municipality of Tholen has lent its name from the town of Tholen, which is the largest population center in the municipality.
The municipality consists of two peninsulas, formerly islands, the larger one on the south also called Tholen, the smaller one on the north called Sint Philipsland. The two are separated by the former strait, now bay, of Krabbenkreek. The municipality is bordered on the east by the Eendracht, once a Scheldt branch but now part of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal, crossed by three road bridges; by the Oosterschelde estuary to the south; the straits of Keeten-Mastgat to the west; and the Krammer strait to the north.
The town has a small historical center partly surrounded by a "gracht" and partly bordered by a harbour for fishing ships and yachts.

The first striking thing we find in this half-marathonian piece of music is the peculiar feeling of isolation coming from dark ambient albums set in deep unknown space. Drones reverberating beyond the infinity, an imaginary wind blowing through the nothingness surrounding us. The sensation to be left alone, lost in a limitless bath of void with no beacon at human sight. But soon, the hopeless solitude leaves room to impenetrable whispers. Errating radio transmissions. Insidious mumblings reaching our ears without understanding how or from where. Optocht Zeeland Parade inTholen 2016 ( Tholen 650 jaar )
Stadsomroeper Gatze de Moed opent de optocht en eigenlijk kan dit ook niet anders. Gatze is al jarenlang de stadsomroeper van de Gemeente Tholen. Diverse klederdrachtverenigingen uit de provincie Zeeland waaronder natuurlijk onze eigen Thoolse Stichting Streekdracht zullen acte de presence geven. Een echte schapendrijver laat de natuur van Zeeland beleven, maar ook is er Thoolse inbreng van o.a. Sjaloom, Zeilschool TG17 en van de bewoners van de straat Cromvliet. Deze laatste pakken echt uit en hebben er werk van gemaakt. Er is nog één deelnemer waarover de organisatie niet veel prijs wil geven. Ze noemen het: iets groots, opvallends en uniek. Waar niemand omheen kan en één van de eyecatchers zal zijn van de parade. Wat dit is ? Daar zult u achter komen wanneer u de optocht gaat bezoeken....

Sternklang. The noise of the stars.
The first striking thing we find in this half-marathonian piece of music is the peculiar feeling of isolation coming from dark ambient albums set in deep unknown space. Drones reverberating beyond the infinity, an imaginary wind blowing through the nothingness surrounding us. The sensation to be left alone, lost in a limitless bath of void with no beacon at human sight.
But soon, the hopeless solitude leaves room to impenetrable whispers. Errating radio transmissions. Insidious mumblings reaching our ears without understanding how or from where. Seemingly alien synths start to emerge from the darkness fractured every so often by the flickering light of dying stars.
A threatening tocsin rings, guiding what we picture as extraterrestrial radio conversations towards us, probably announcing our imminent abduction. Or is it ? Aren't these sounds relayed as a distant echo because of the stars, expulsing electromagnetic pulses sounding like voices in our transmitters ? Or aren't we just consumed from the inside by the evergrowing loneliness, creating voices inside our heads to only feel we are not going to die alone ? To feel a little warmth before leaving this life in the most anonymous and pathetic way ?
Sternklang is not only a monolithic track of deep space ambient. I see it as a questionning of our sanity if we ever had to be left behind in the outer cosmos, offering a plausible hypothesis on our state of mind at the verge of breaking down and passing the event horizon.

Ook veel muziek van het beste wat de showkorpsenwereld te bieden heeft: Holland Bicycle Showband Crescendo - Opende Een internationaal bekende showband op fietsen (!) die al in vele landen heeft opgetreden zoals in Roemenie, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Belgie, Maleisie, Turkije, China.... Een fanfare op fietsen. Puur Hollands en dat bewijzen ze in Volendams kostuum inclusief klompen !

Wow, these guys must really like to party with a name like that? The Buzzhounds will be the first to tell you that the buzz is not chemical, but natural. It is all about the live experience. The give and take between a performer, and an audience on a great night. That's the buzz.....that's what it's all about.
These guys are honest musicians. They do it because they love it, and this creed carries over into their music. "We made an honest record, this is how we sound. We used the best vintage gear we could find, (including the same mics and soundboard that the Beatles used at Abbey Road), and went right to tape with very little editing," says their front man Jeffrey Manga.
The result is raw, grade a prime, blues driven, rock and roll. The record swings in and out of modern rock, delta blues, and acoustic vibes, all the while, paying tribute to their influences; Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jane's Addiction, Led Zeppelin, Guns and Roses, Alice in Chains, and Robert Johnson.
The Buzzhounds have taken Chicago's live scene by storm, creating a loyal following by showcasing jaw dropping, high energy performances. Making an audience say wow... that is the "Buzz", and these are the "Buzzhounds".
