James ("Jimmy") A. Pedro (born October 30, 1970 in Danvers, Massachusetts) is one of the most successful American judo competitors ever, having even won two bronze medals in the Olympics.
Pedro was the World Champion at 73 kg in 1998. He won bronze medals in the 1991 and 1995 World Championships.
Pedro represented the United States in the 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympic Games, winning bronze in 1996 and 2004. The United States has not traditionally been strong in judo, and a bronze medal in Olympic judo is an enormous accomplishment for an American athlete. His entry in the "Legends" section of a major judo magazine's web site lists 29 gold medals in international competition alone.
Pedro retired from competitive judo after the 2004 Olympics. In recent years he has worked for Monster.com, promoted a brand of tatami and zebra (mats) used for judo and jujutsu practice and competition, and been the subject of a biographical movie.
He coaches and teaches in Wakefield, Massachusetts. He is the married father of three children.

Romeo was invited, in the summer of 2006, to the Reebok-sponsored ABCD Camp, which is considered the premier basketball camp in the United States. The Teaneck, New Jersey-based ABCD Camp is an invitation-only basketball showcase previously attended by high-profile players including Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Tracy McGrady, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Surrounded by future NBA players such as O. J. Mayo, Derrick Rose, and Kevin Love, Miller looked out of place and averaged less than 2 points a game throughout the camp. ''The Wall Street Journal'' made an article on March 8, entitled "A Hot Prospect," cites Sonny Vaccaro, the longtime director of the ABCD Camp, as explaining, "he invited Romeo Miller to the 2006 camp, primarily as a favor to Percy Miller, whom he knew from the club basketball circuit." In the article, Vaccaro indicated, "If you're looking for the profile of an athlete who plays basketball at USC, he's not it."
On April 13, 2007, Miller verbally committed to the University of Southern California (USC) and signed a letter of intent on November 19, 2007.
Miller, a 5'11" point guard, was a four year starter at Beverly Hills High School. As a junior during the 2005-2006 high school season he averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 assists per game. As a senior during the 2006-2007 high school season he averaged 8.6 points and 9.0 assists per game.
According to ''The Wall Street Journal'', it appears the decision to grant Miller a full scholarship at USC was largely driven by his relationship with friend and teammate Demar DeRozan, the 6-foot-6 All-American forward who was rated as the number five prospect in the country on Scout.com. ''The Wall Street Journal'' reported Coach Tim Floyd as saying, "Last April...Percy Miller called while driving both players from a tournament in Fayetteville, Ark...Percy Miller said 'Demar and Romeo are ready to make their decision, and would you like to have them both on scholarship?'...'I said absolutely.'" Miller and DeRozan began playing in the 2008-2009 season.
Miller had a disappointing career at USC. In his two seasons as a Trojan, he played a total of 19 minutes in 9 games and scored a total of 5 points.

He had a role in the 1997 CBS adaptation of the book ''True Women'' and had a starring role in the 2000 film ''Lone Star Struck''. In 2001, he won Best Actor at the International Teen Movie Festival (ITMF) in Vaughan, Canada for his role in his short film ''Head Shot''. He also received praise in 2001 in an article in ''Newsday'', and this helped further his career. He appeared as a member of the First Regiment of Virginia Volunteers in the 2003 Civil War film ''Gods and Generals'', which starred Robert Duvall. Fisher parodied actor Tom Cruise in the 2008 film ''Superhero Movie''; a clip of Fisher from the film became popular on the Internet. He had a recurring role as a rookie police officer in 2008 on the television series ''The Cleaner'' on A&E; Network. Fisher appeared in 2009 on ''Gossip Girl''. On the third season of the television series ''Mad Men'', Fisher portrayed a friend of character Paul Kinsey.
Fisher graduated from Harvard University, where he was an English major. While at Harvard, Fisher was a member of the ''a cappella'' singing group the Krokodiloes. Fisher served as the Krokodiloes tour manager, and planned events for the group in 24 countries. Fisher was one of the two students chosen to deliver a Harvard Oration at the 2006 Harvard graduation ceremony. His undergraduate thesis, which won the LeBaron Russell Briggs prize at Harvard, was a "screenplay about a Harvard graduate who avoided the Vietnam draft by teaching in a military prep school". Fisher described film as his passion and said that after graduation he intended to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film industry. In 2009 Fisher resided in Los Angeles, California.
He parodied actor Tom Cruise in the 2008 film ''Superhero Movie''. Fisher's role in the film was popularized on the Internet on sites including ''Defamer'', as well as on television on ''Entertainment Tonight'' and the CNN program ''Showbiz Tonight''. The clip of Fisher was viewed on the Internet over 10 million times. In a review in ''The Baltimore Sun'', Roger Moore commented that Fisher's appearance in ''Superhero Movie'' was the highlight of the film, and wrote: "Actor Miles Fisher replicates Tom Cruise's 'I am the Way, the Thetan, the Light' Scientology recruiting video of last year to hilarious effect." He had a recurring role on A&E; Network's television series ''The Cleaner'', portraying a rookie police officer named Kenneth Herman.
On the third season of the television series ''Mad Men'', Fisher portrayed Geoff Graves, a friend of character Paul Kinsey. Jessica Gelt of the ''Los Angeles Times'' described his character as a "preppy drug dealer". In 2010, Fisher was cast in the Steven Quale film, ''Final Destination 5''. In an interview with Collider.com, Fisher revealed that the film was set in a workplace environment, and was a 3-D film. It was also announced that Fisher has joined the cast of Clint Eastwood's upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic, "J. Edgar," playing Agent Garrison, an FBI employee who interviews Leonardo DiCaprio's Hoover throughout the film.
