When the late Perry Moore asked me to do a cameo in his film "Lake City" he also asked if I'd write a song for the film. I wrote "Every Road" from the perspective of Troy Garity's character. They didn't use it but did use a piece of "Come With Me".

Keith Carradine has starred in over sixty feature films, five Broadway shows and released two LP Albums of his music. Among his best-known films are Robert Altman's "Nashville" and "Thieves Like Us", Louis Malle's "Pretty Baby", Alan Rudolph's "Choose Me" and "The Moderns", Ridley Scott's "The Duellists", and Walter Hill's "The Longriders" and "Southern Comfort". He created the role of Will Rogers in the original Broadway production of "The Will Rogers Follies" for which he received a Tony nomination. His song "I'm Easy" from "Nashville" won the Academy and Golden Globe Awards for best song and was a Billboard Top Ten single.
His most notable recent appearances were in HBO's "Deadwood" as Wild Bill Hickock, Showtime's "Dexter" as Special Agent Frank Lundy, and "Crash" with Dennis Hopper. He recently completed the independent feature "Ain't Them Bodies Saints" with Rooney Mara and Casey Afleck and directed by David Lowery. The film was celebrated at Sundance and is a selection at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It is scheduled for release this summer by IFC Films. Other recent films include "Cowboys And Aliens" directed by Jon Favreau, "Peacock" with Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page and "Family Tree", a dark comedy with Dermot Mulroney, Selma Blair and Hope Davis.
Recent theater includes a limited off-Broadway run in The Soho Playhouse production of Anthony Horowitz' "Mindgame" directed by the legendary Ken Russell as well as The New Group's off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard's "A Lie Of The Mind" directed by Ethan Hawke. He just completed the Broadway run of the new musical "Hands On A Hardbody" for which he received his second Tony nomination, this time for "Performance by an Actor in a featured role in a musical".
He is married to actress Hayley DuMond.

Keith Carradine
Keith Ian Carradine (born August 8, 1949) is an American actor, singer and songwriter who has had success on stage, film and television. He is perhaps best known for his roles as Tom Frank in Robert Altman's Nashville, Wild Bill Hickok in the HBO series Deadwood and FBI agent Frank Lundy in Dexter. In addition, he is a Golden Globe and Academy Award winning songwriter. As a member of the Carradine family, he is part of an acting dynasty that began with his father, John Carradine.
Early life
Keith Carradine was born in San Mateo, California. He is the son of actress and artist Sonia Sorel (née Henius), and actor John Carradine. His paternal half-brothers are Bruce and David Carradine, his maternal half-brother is Michael Bowen, and his full brothers are Christopher and Robert Carradine. His maternal great-grandfather was biochemist Max Henius, and his maternal great-grandmother was the sister of historian Johan Ludvig Heiberg.
Carradine's childhood was difficult. He said that his father drank and his mother “was a manic depressive paranoid schizophrenic catatonic—she had it all.” His parents were divorced in 1957, when he was eight years old. A bitter custody battle led to his father gaining custody of him and his brothers, Christopher and Robert, after the children had spent three months in a home for abused children as wards of the court. Keith said of the experience, "It was like being in jail. There were bars on the windows, and we were only allowed to see our parents through glass doors. It was very sad. We would stand there on either side of the glass door crying." He was raised primarily by his maternal grandmother, and he rarely saw either of his parents. His mother was not permitted to see him for eight years following the custody settlement.

Keith Carradine has starred in over sixty feature films, five Broadway shows and released two LP Albums of his music. Among his best-known films are Robert Altman's "Nashville" and "Thieves Like Us", Louis Malle's "Pretty Baby", Alan Rudolph's "Choose Me" and "The Moderns", Ridley Scott's "The Duellists", and Walter Hill's "The Longriders" and "Southern Comfort". He created the role of Will Rogers in the original Broadway production of "The Will Rogers Follies" for which he received a Tony nomination. His song "I'm Easy" from "Nashville" won the Academy and Golden Globe Awards for best song and was a Billboard Top Ten single.
His most notable recent appearances were in HBO's "Deadwood" as Wild Bill Hickock, Showtime's "Dexter" as Special Agent Frank Lundy, and "Crash" with Dennis Hopper. He recently completed the independent feature "Ain't Them Bodies Saints" with Rooney Mara and Casey Afleck and directed by David Lowery. The film was celebrated at Sundance and is a selection at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It is scheduled for release this summer by IFC Films. Other recent films include "Cowboys And Aliens" directed by Jon Favreau, "Peacock" with Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page and "Family Tree", a dark comedy with Dermot Mulroney, Selma Blair and Hope Davis.
Recent theater includes a limited off-Broadway run in The Soho Playhouse production of Anthony Horowitz' "Mindgame" directed by the legendary Ken Russell as well as The New Group's off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard's "A Lie Of The Mind" directed by Ethan Hawke. He just completed the Broadway run of the new musical "Hands On A Hardbody" for which he received his second Tony nomination, this time for "Performance by an Actor in a featured role in a musical".
He is married to actress Hayley DuMond.

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear.
But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.
Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents-townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors-all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.
