Cork (/kɔːrk/ Irish: Corcaigh, pronounced [ˈkoɾkɪɟ], from corcach, meaning "marsh") is a city in Ireland, located in the South-West Region, in the province of Munster. It has a population of 119,230, and is the second largest city in the state and the third most populous on the island of Ireland. The greater Metropolitan Cork area (which includes a number of satellite towns and suburbs) has a population exceeding 300,000. In 2005, the city was selected as the European Capital of Culture.
The city is built on the River Lee which splits into two channels at the western end of the city; the city centre is divided by these channels. They reconverge at the eastern end where the quays and docks along the river banks lead outwards towards Lough Mahon and Cork Harbour, one of the world's largest natural harbours.
The city's cognomen of "the rebel city" originates in its support for the Yorkist cause during the English War of the Roses. Corkonians often refer to the city as "the real capital" in reference to the city's role as the centre of anti-treaty forces during the Irish Civil War.
Il trovatore (pronounced [il trovaˈtoːre]; Italian for "The Troubadour") is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto largely written by Salvadore Cammarano, based on the play El trovador (1836) by Antonio García Gutiérrez. It was Gutiérrez's most successful play, one which Verdi scholar Julian Budden describes as "a high flown, sprawling melodrama flamboyantly defiant of the Aristotelian unities, packed with all manner of fantastic and bizarre incident."
The premiere took place at the Teatro Apollo in Rome on 19 January 1853, where it "began a victorious march throughout the operatic world," a success due to Verdi's work over the previous three years. It began with his January 1850 approach to Cammarano with the idea of Il trovatore. There followed, slowly and with interruptions, the preparation of the libretto, first by Cammarano until his death in mid-1852 and then with the young librettist Leone Emanuele Bardare, which gave the composer the opportunity to propose significant revisions, which were accomplished under his direction. These revisions are seen largely in the expansion of the role of Leonora.
Girl Meets World is an American coming of age television sitcom. The series made its debut on June 27, 2014, on Disney Channel.
The series is a sequel to the sitcom Boy Meets World, which aired on ABC in its TGIF block from 1993 to 2000. The original series centered on Cornelius "Cory" Matthews, including his growing relationship with Topanga Lawrence and their eventual marriage. Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who portrayed Cory and Topanga, reprise their roles in Girl Meets World, which centers on the life of the couple's daughter, Riley Matthews. Her father has become a middle school teacher, while her mother is a lawyer, who gains part ownership of an old world bakery in the first season episode "Girl Meets Popular". Other members of the Boy Meets World cast have either recurring roles or cameo appearances.
The third season of Girl Meets World was announced on November 25, 2015 with production to begin in January 2016 and premiere Spring 2016.
The series takes place several years after Boy Meets World in New York City, where Cory and Topanga Matthews moved to in the finale of the series, and follows their daughter Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) as they navigate the challenges of life and junior high school. Following along with them are their classmates, Lucas Friar (Peyton Meyer) and Farkle Minkus (Corey Fogelmanis), and Riley's younger brother, Auggie (August Maturo).
The RTÉ Concert Orchestra is one of the two full-time professional orchestras in Ireland that are part of RTÉ, the national broadcasting station. Since its formation as the Radio Éireann Light Orchestra in 1948, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, has grown from a small studio-based recording group to become an active 45-strong orchestra performing over eighty concerts annually. It is part of RTÉ Performing Groups.
The orchestra performs classical, popular and big band evening and lunchtime concerts, covering a range of music from baroque to contemporary. The period from 2003-2006 saw a particular emphasis on the classical repertoire under the orchestra's then principal conductor Laurent Wagner. In this period the orchestra programmed classical-themed concerts compared to the "lighter" side that dominated under its previous principal conductor Proinnsias O’Duinn from 1978 to 2003, leading to collaboration with comperes such as Des Keogh, presenter of the popular radio programme Music for Middlebrows. 2007 saw the beginning of a classical series featuring incumbent principal conductor David Brophy, and Robert Houlihan with the best of Irish soloists at the Royal Dublin Society Concert Hall. 2014-2015 saw a return to classical repertoire with a particular emphasis on English composers such as Elgar, Coates and Vaughan Williams, and UK and international soloists under principal conductor John Wilson.

PARENTAL ADVISORY! Contains some VERY bad language and mild sexual references throughout! Back in the 90's a group of HND students at DMU Bedford, called the "Shaken not Stirred Theatre Company", created and performed a Bondian Spoof called Live and Let Fry. It starred Dallas Jones, Billi Brookes, Heather Feeney, Angela Hinds, Zoe Shell, and Richard Dyke. Written and directed by John Bevan, this play contains blatant rip-offs of bond style situations and even some familiar lines. It was performed at the Lansdowne Community Theatre, Bedford and re-written and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival the following Summer. BUT it also comes with a PARENTAL ADVISORY! There is some VERY bad language and mild sexual references throughout!
