  4. Under 30% of mode share to CBD is single occupant vehicles, but ID, Uptown, ect. lagging behind at more than 50% SOV, reports.

  5. King Cty CM Kathy Lambert (3rd District) also asked about running vehicles on natural gas. Maybe that smells better?

    . CM did ask and the farthest north they go is Market Street in Ballard. I don't know if there's a density req't.

  9. New 40 and 60 foot electric hybrid trolleys coming to fleet use 30% less power and can operate off wire short distances.

  10. Cool fact: electric trolleys save Seattle about 1 million gallons of diesel per year. Drive Clean Seattle Action Agenda seeks to expand that

  12. State sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles (36th) forwarded Greenwood constituents concerns about decreasing service w joining 28 & 28X into only 28X.

  13. Interesting idea: is suggesting fare enforcement officers carry extra Orca cards to give to people without them in interim.

  14. Also agrees it needs to be easier to get an Orca card and asks to follow up on it.

  15. Now says ppl do miss one seat rides, herself included w old 252, but it's about creating the best system to serve most ppl.

  16. Now is starting on lack of good east-west routes. She is undeniably sharp on transit issues.

  17. Also is arguing they need another Orca card machine than sole one at her district's QFC. Suggests one at Northgate Transit Center.

  18. Following up says 30 blocks worth of Pinehurst has no service and low income people are affected the most.

  19. CM from North Seattle is raining on parade. Asking Metro rep Rob Gannon what is replacing loss of the 73.
