Walang Hanggan (2012 TV series)

Walang Hanggan (Lit: Boundless / English: My Eternal) is a classic Philippine television drama series loosely based on the 1991 Gomez-Zulueta film Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit, a film based on the Emily Brontë novel, Wuthering Heights. Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Trina N. Dayrit, it is topbilled by Coco Martin, Julia Montes, Richard Gomez, and Dawn Zulueta, together with an ensemble cast. The series was premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on January 16, 2012, replacing Nasaan Ka Elisa?. The drama became a huge hit maintaining the top spot in viewer ratings for most of its run, with its final episode on October 26, 2012 attaining its highest rating of 45.4% nationwide.

Plot

The story spans three generations.

Cruz sisters Virginia (Susan Roces) and Margaret (Helen Gamboa) vie for the love of Joseph Montenegro (Eddie Gutierrez) in the fictional province of Olivarez. Virginia had to sacrifice everything to let Margaret live a better life with Joseph. Around two decades later, Margaret and Joseph's son Marco (Richard Gomez) develops feelings for Emily Cardenas (Dawn Zulueta), a daughter of a worker in their plantation. However, numerous circumstances and Margaret's haughtiness towards Emily prompts Marco to marry rich banker Jane Bonifacio (Rita Avila) - much to Emily's detriment. It fuels the Virginia-Margaret rivalry more, especially when Marco migrates to the US after Emily shuns him when he tries to explain.

Everlasting (BoA song)

"Everlasting" is BoA's 18th Japanese single and 4th Korean single. The leading track "Everlasting" is a ballad, and the B-side track, "Soundscape" is a mid-tempo song for Japanese version and "People say..." for the Korean version B-side track. This single also contains the first "classical version" (orchestral composition remake) of any BoA songs thus far, "Everlasting: Classical Ver.".

Commercial endorsements

"Everlasting" was used as the network advertisement for the online Japanese music giant, music.jp; it was also used as the ending theme for the TV Asahi drama "Gate of Miracles". In addition to these two large endorsements "Everlasting" was also used as the featured track for the Japanese dubbing of the movie Oliver Twist. There were no endorsements using "Soundscape".

Music video

This music video consists of many scenes. The first scene shown is of BoA in a dark room with a flower and many photographs scattered throughout the floor of the room. Also there are three windows to the room. Through each of windows, BoA is there, one with a big black hat with a white dress, another with a flower in her hair and the atmosphere like autumn and the last is BoA sitting upon a bell tower dressed in completely black. The music video takes turns between all the scenes and BoA is shown singing throughout all of them.

Everlasting is the debut album of the Japanese pop rock group Every Little Thing, released on April 9, 1997.

Arid

A region is arid when it is characterized by a severe lack of available water, to the extent of hindering or preventing the growth and development of plant and animal life. Environments subject to arid climates tend to lack vegetation and are called xeric or desertic. Most "arid" climates surround the equator; these places include most of Africa and parts of South America, Central America and Australia.

Change over time

The distribution of aridity observed at any one point in time is largely the result of the general circulation of the atmosphere. The latter does change significantly over time through climate change. For example temperature increase (by 1.5–2.1 percent) across the Nile Basin over the next 30-40 years could change the region from semi-arid to arid, resulting in a significant reduction in agricultural land. In addition, changes in land use can result in greater demands on soil water and induce a higher degree of aridity. See aridification.

Change (Tears for Fears song)

"Change" is a song by the British band Tears for Fears. Written by Roland Orzabal and sung by bassist Curt Smith, it was the band's fourth single release. It would eventually become the second hit from their debut LP The Hurting (1983) and second UK Top 5 chart hit, following the success of "Mad World". The song also gave Tears for Fears their first charting single in America when it cracked the Billboard Top 100 in August 1983. "Change" was also a big international success, reaching the Top 40 in numerous countries.

Meaning

Song versions

The 7" version of "Change" is the same mix of the song found on The Hurting, but in a slightly edited form. An extended remix of the song is showcased as the lead track on the 12" single. While many copies of the 12" single use the 7" mix of the song as one of the b-sides, some feature an altogether different recording. Although uncredited on the singles themselves, this mix is labeled the "New Version" on the UK cassette release of The Hurting, where it was included as a bonus track. Featuring an alternate set of lyrics, this version actually predates the 7" mix, despite its title.

Change (Vanessa Amorosi album)

Change is the second studio album by Vanessa Amorosi, released in Germany in 2002. It peaked at number 64 on the German Top 100. After one week the album dropped off the chart. The CD was set to be released in Australia, but it remains unreleased there for unknown reasons.

The CD also contains copy protection.

Mathematics (from Greek μάθημα máthēma, “knowledge, study, learning”) is the study of topics such as quantity (numbers),structure,space, and change. There is a range of views among mathematicians and philosophers as to the exact scope and definition of mathematics.

Mathematicians seek out patterns and use them to formulate new conjectures. Mathematicians resolve the truth or falsity of conjectures by mathematical proof. When mathematical structures are good models of real phenomena, then mathematical reasoning can provide insight or predictions about nature. Through the use of abstraction and logic, mathematics developed from counting, calculation, measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been a human activity for as far back as written records exist. The research required to solve mathematical problems can take years or even centuries of sustained inquiry.

Rigorous arguments first appeared in Greek mathematics, most notably in Euclid's Elements. Since the pioneering work of Giuseppe Peano (1858–1932), David Hilbert (1862–1943), and others on axiomatic systems in the late 19th century, it has become customary to view mathematical research as establishing truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions.
