This is a drive through tour of Lamai Beach, a popular tourist destination located on the tropical island of Koh Samui (Ko Samui, Samui) in Thailand. This tour of Lamai Beach is filmed in a POV (point of view) perspective from the back of a Songthaew taxi, which is the local "public transport" on the island of Koh Samui. This footage is filmed in 4K with a Panasonic HC-VX870 camcorder. The journey begins on the main Koh Samui Ring Road where we have just turned onto the Lamai Beach Road, we then proceed to drive all the way through Lamai passing various hotels, restaurants and bars including one of Lamai´s top attractions the Water Park Called, "Coco Splash Adventure & Waterpark". The journey ends when we once again meet up with the Koh Samui Main Ring Road where you can turn left to visit Koh Samui´s top attractions "Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks" (Hin Yai & Hin Ta), or turn right to drive to one of Koh Samui´s most popular and oldest beach resorts, "Chaweng Beach".

It´s Sunday evening and we are at the Lamai Beach Sunday Night Market (Thai Street Food Market and non-food market) held every Sunday at Lamai Beach located on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. We invite you to join us on a no comments walking tour viewing the huge variety of Thai and international foods available to buy and eat from this very well worth a visit Thai Street Food Night Market, this is Thai Food at it´s best, at least from our (Maxi and Maro) touristy point of view.
The Lamai Beach Night Market is held every Sunday from 15:00 to 23:00 at Lamai Beach. If you are living at Lamai Beach you should be able to walk there or just take one of the local "Tuk Tuks". If you are unsure of the location just follow the other tourists walking along the road in one direction or ask one of the local Thai´s who will quickly point you in the right direction.
If you are living in Chaweng Beach or Bophut, the area where The Fishermans Village Night Market is held on Fridays, we suggest that you take a taxi or also a local "TukTuk" (Pickup) to Lamai Beach. Just tell the driver/s that you are going to the Lamai Beach Night Market. For tourists the taxi should cost 300 Baht from Chaweng Beach and Max 500 Baht from Bophut and the "TukTuk" price is around 100 Baht from Chaweng and you should be able to negotiate a similar price if you are coming from Bophut Beach. Don´t get to the Lamai Beach Night Market too late, as by the time we had finished filming around 21:00 and were ready to eat many of the delicious Thai Street Foods were already sold out or the vendors were packing up for the evening. Thai food and Thai Street Food lovers this is a night market not to be missed, be sure to visit this weekend market at least once when you are on holiday in Koh Samui, it is without any doubt one of Koh Samuis Top Attractions!
Lamai Beach is Koh Samuis second largest tourist resort area second only to Chaweng Beach and is also the islands second largest beach, also only second to the very popular Chaweng Beach which lies north of Lamai Beach. Lamai Beach is one of Koh samuis best beaches so whether you choose to live in Lamai Beach or not, when you visit Thailand, a day trip or excursion to Lamai Beach and its town are a very worthwhile trip to make. Lamai Beach is easily accessible by motorcycle, TukTuk, taxi or rented car from Chaweng Beach, Bophut are many of the other smaller tourist areas close by on the island.

Lamai
Lamai, also known as Lamlai, historical market named is Chalou keithel. Lamlai is a town and a nagar panchayat just upgrade Municipal Council in Imphal East district in the Indian state of Manipur.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Lamlai had a population of 4077. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Lamlai has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 57%. In Lamlai, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Plot: In the 17th of the 24 films in Monogram's "Range Buster" series, Texas ranch owner Conroy returns from Washington with an order for horses to be shipped to the Philippines. The Range Busters, Dusty, Davy and Alibi, are selected to take the horses there but, before leaving, they capture three spies who are trying to steal the horses and also learn that the ranch cook, Cookie, is a Japanese spy, but he manages to escape. In the Philippines, they go to a café for dinner and see Cookie and Miller, a German spy. Eavesdropping, they learn that Ken Richards, a neighboring Texas rancher, is the Axis contact back in the states. They capture Cookie and break up the spy ring in the Phillipines, and then return to Texas intent on settling matters with Richards. They do so and are honored by the U.S. Government just as the radio blares forth the December 7, 1941 announcement of the Pearl Harbor bombing. They head for the nearest enlistment station.

This is a drive through tour of Lamai Beach, a popular tourist destination located on the tropical island of Koh Samui (Ko Samui, Samui) in Thailand. This tour of Lamai Beach is filmed in a POV (point of view) perspective from the back of a Songthaew taxi, which is the local "public transport" on the island of Koh Samui. This footage is filmed in 4K with a Panasonic HC-VX870 camcorder. The journey begins on the main Koh Samui Ring Road where we have just turned onto the Lamai Beach Road, we then proceed to drive all the way through Lamai passing various hotels, restaurants and bars including one of Lamai´s top attractions the Water Park Called, "Coco Splash Adventure & Waterpark". The Lamai Beach Night Market is held every Sunday from 15:00 to 23:00 at Lamai Beach. If you are living at Lamai Beach you should be able to walk there or just take one of the local "Tuk Tuks". If you are unsure of the location just follow the other tourists walking along the road in one direction or ask one of the local Thai´s who will quickly point you in the right direction.
If you are living in Chaweng Beach or Bophut, the area where The Fishermans Village Night Market is held on Fridays, we suggest that you take a taxi or also a local "TukTuk" (Pickup) to Lamai Beach. Just tell the driver/s that you are going to the Lamai Beach Night Market. For tourists the taxi should cost 300 Baht from Chaweng Beach and Max 500 Baht from Bophut and the "TukTuk" price is around 100 Baht from Chaweng and you should be able to negotiate a similar price if you are coming from Bophut Beach. Don´t get to the Lamai Beach Night Market too late, as by the time we had finished filming around 21:00 and were ready to eat many of the delicious Thai Street Foods were already sold out or the vendors were packing up for the evening. Thai food and Thai Street Food lovers this is a night market not to be missed, be sure to visit this weekend market at least once when you are on holiday in Koh Samui, it is without any doubt one of Koh Samuis Top Attractions!
Lamai Beach is Koh Samuis second largest tourist resort area second only to Chaweng Beach and is also the islands second largest beach, also only second to the very popular Chaweng Beach which lies north of Lamai Beach. Lamai Beach is one of Koh samuis best beaches so whether you choose to live in Lamai Beach or not, when you visit Thailand, a day trip or excursion to Lamai Beach and its town are a very worthwhile trip to make. Lamai Beach is easily accessible by motorcycle, TukTuk, taxi or rented car from Chaweng Beach, Bophut are many of the other smaller tourist areas close by on the island.

Lamai Beach is Koh Samuis second largest tourist resort area second only to Chaweng Beach and is also the islands second largest beach, also only second to the very popular Chaweng Beach which lies north of Lamai Beach. Lamai Beach is one of Koh samuis best beaches so whether you choose to live in Lamai Beach or not, when you visit Thailand, a day trip or excursion to Lamai Beach and its town are a very worthwhile trip to make. Lamai Beach is easily accessible by motorcycle, TukTuk, taxi or rented car from Chaweng Beach, Bophut are many of the other smaller tourist areas close by on the island.

Ko Samui (เกาะสมุย), (pronounced gaw (vowel like ou in cough) sà mui) is an island located in the Chumphon Archipelago in the Gulf of Thailand, some 700 km south of Bangkok and about 80 km from the eastern coastline of Southern Thailand.
Beaches

Ko Samui is a fairly big island. The most popular and commercialised beaches are Chaweng and Lamai, while the northern beaches and their adjacent villages of Mae Nam, Bophut, Bang Rak (Big Buddha) and Choeng Mon are more peaceful choices, and the west coast beaches are still (comparatively) quiet. Update: Bophut and Choeng Mon are not much good for swimming because of murky seawater. Chaweng and Lamai have much clearer seawater, so better for swimming
Clockwise from Nathon on the west coast, the main beaches are:
Nathon — Samui's port and administrative centre, but with little to attract the tourist
Laem Yai — set on the Northwest tip of the island, a secluded beach overlooking the islands of Ang Thong
Mae Nam — a quiet and beautiful beach on the northern coast
Bophut — known for its fisher's village, laid-back but growing fast
Bang Rak — at the northeastern tip, home of the Big Buddha
Choeng Mon — quiet north shore beach
Chaweng — the largest and most-developed beach, with a curious mix of luxury hotels and backpacker guesthouses and a hopping nightlife
Lamai — Samui's "second" beach south of Chaweng, quieter than Chaweng but still has nightlife, swank resorts and restaurants
Samui South Coast — the small beaches of Ban Hua Thanon, Na Khai, Laem Set, Bang Kao and Thong Krut
The major reason why people come to Samui is to enjoy the beaches. Even though the two main beaches of Chaweng and Lamai have generally suffered due to mass development over the past decade they are still relatively impressive. Development has been thwarted slightly because of the island’s regulation governing building heights.
Other than lying on the beach with a cold beer in hand and ogling at the babes and hunks sauntering past, there isn't all that much to see on the island. A certain pair of rocks on Lamai amuses some visitors, Bang Rak has a large but nondescript Buddha statue, and there are some waterfalls (notably Na Muang) of minor interest
Chaweng Beach is the major beach on Ko Samui and one that has developed tremendously since the early 1990s. Just 20 years ago the beach was home to just a sprinkle of wooden bungalows but now the place is swamped with hotels, Italian pizzerias, Irish pubs, and even go-go bars. Samui’s night life is becoming legendary but unfortunately not always attracting the best standard of tourist. Chaweng’s once ‘hippie’-only backpackers have given way to a lot of "lager louts". Chaweng is the place for a rowdy reckless party scene.
Lamai Beach Like Chaweng, Lamai has been transformed from a ‘hippy’ hangout into a fun, party place packed out with bars and night life. The beach is still in better condition than Chaweng and the place doesn't get quite so crowded, although some are shallow and have rocks. At the southern end of Lamai, there are some odd-looking rock formations. If it's a quiet relaxing location you are after, then Lamai won’t be the ideal place for you. Lamai is in southeast Samui, about ten km south of Chaweng.
Mae Nam Beach This quiet beach, located in the north of the island is decent enough for swimming and sunbathing, especially for families with children, due to the shallow water.
Bophut Beach situated in the north of the island, is a popular starting point for diving tours. The place isn't in any way as developed as Chaweng but there are still plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars.
Choengmon Beach is in northeast Samui just 10 minutes from Chaweng. Unlike the latter it is a perfect place for relaxing.
Big Buddha Beach Located in northeast Samui, Big Buddha offers visitors good swimming and lovely views. The area has developed a lot over the past few years and there are now many restaurants, shops, and bars.
Nathon - The island's major seafront settlement where shops, restaurants, and tour agencies are concentrated.
Namtok Hin Lat – This waterfall is easily accessible by car. Some of the numerous tiny levels have large basins for swimmers.
Namtok Na Mueang – A local road leads to the Na Mueang 1 Waterfall. A walk of about 30 minutes ends up at the more scenic Na Mueang 2 Waterfall. Purple rocks surround the stream of water, which gushes in from an impressive height of around 79 m.
Ban Lipa Yai – This village grows high-quality fruits, including rambutan, durian, mangosteen, and the famed langsat.
