The Castle may refer to:
The Castle Inn is a public house in West Lulworth, Dorset, England, which dates from the 16th century. It was originally called The Green Man, and later the The Jolly Sailor. As of 2014, the pub is a popular traditional pub and hotel. Alex Halliday is the current landlord, and the third generation of the Halliday family who have run the pub for over 30 years. The Castle Inn has a focus upon traditional real ales, real ciders and perries.
The pub has changed names many times during its history. It has been known as both the Green Man and the Traveller's Rest at various points. It is currently named after the early 17th century hunting lodge Lulworth Castle, situated in East Lulworth. An 1846 document held by the Dorset History Centre amongst the papers of the brewers White and Bennett of Wareham notes that it was then called The Jolly Sailor and formerly called The Lugger.
In Dorset Pubs & Breweries, Tim Edgell states that the pub dates back 400 years, and that it was a homebrew pub in the 19th century. It changed its name from The Jolly Sailor in 1929, after Lulworth Castle burnt down.
A castle (from Latin: castellum) is a type of fortified structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle Ages by nobility. Scholars debate the scope of the word castle, but usually consider it to be the private fortified residence of a lord or noble. This is distinct from a palace, which is not fortified; from a fortress, which was not always a residence for nobility; and from a fortified settlement, which was a public defence – though there are many similarities among these types of construction. Usage of the term has varied over time and has been applied to structures as diverse as hill forts and country houses. Over the approximately 900 years that castles were built, they took on a great many forms with many different features, although some, such as curtain walls and arrowslits, were commonplace.
A European innovation, castles originated in the 9th and 10th centuries, after the fall of the Carolingian Empire resulted in its territory being divided among individual lords and princes. These nobles built castles to control the area immediately surrounding them, and were both offensive and defensive structures; they provided a base from which raids could be launched as well as protection from enemies. Although their military origins are often emphasised in castle studies, the structures also served as centres of administration and symbols of power. Urban castles were used to control the local populace and important travel routes, and rural castles were often situated near features that were integral to life in the community, such as mills and fertile land.

Castle Combe is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of the town of Chippenham.
The 14th-century market cross, erected when the privilege to hold a weekly market in Castle Combe was granted, is situated where the three principal streets converge, beside which is one of Castle Combe's two village pumps. Some small stone steps near the cross were for horse riders to mount and dismount and close by are the remains of the buttercross.
The village prospered during the 15th century when it belonged to Millicent, the wife of Sir Stephen Le Scrope and then of Sir John Fastolf (1380–1459), a Norfolk knight who was the effective lord of the manor for fifty years. He promoted the woollen industry, supplying his own troops and others for Henry V's war in France.
St. Andrew's Church is the home of the Castle Combe Clock, one of the very few English medieval clocks still in use.

Awful Stay. The Castle Inns owners certainly like customers recognise their status which make for a very uncomfortable visit. Very expensive food & drink. If you plan to visit Castle Combe please take my advise and eat at the White Heart. Top Tip. Try not to stay in room 6. The neighbours have a large dog that barks if you have your room window open. we where treated to the owner of the dog telling us to be quiet and close the window , this was at 14.30 on a Monday afternoon. The only noise coming from our room was the TV. Because we did not oblige my family was then subjected to the Lady's son displaying martial arts with 2 large knifes. At the end of the display which lasted for at least 5 Mins the Son then starred menacingly up at our window. Fortunately my son managed to catch most of ...

Me and my friends Jack decided to give Sport Climbing a go. I personally have only been climbing since January and I felt as though it was time to try it. I have wanted to get into sport climbing since I started but I thought it would have taken a lot longer than 8 months to achieve it. Anyway, we knew that it was a risk but we thought 'Fu** It!'. We trust each other and we felt strong and knowledgeable enough to go through with it. We successfully climbed a 5a route at Castle Inn Quarry in near Abergele and it was a blast. The sun was shining, the cups of tea were flowing and we had a large avocado to steal our hunger. Good times. Anyway, enjoy watching me scale the route with the head-cam, in this video. Peace out!
Inspired by traditional English Mummers plays, Franz Kafka and the Archers, the locals at the Castle pub in Swindon's Old Town decided to put on a panto of their own Titled "Adventure in the Castle", and based loosely around the theme of death and redemption, it tells the tale of a group of revelers in search of a Christmas drink, who are thwarted at each step by the closure of the pub they've just arrived at [local info - the George, Duke of Wellington and the Prince of Wales are all Old Town pubs which closed in 2014/15]...will the Castle be spared the attention of the Grim Reaper, and will our heroes get their drink? Contains occasional gratuitous swearing, mild inflatable object-based violence, appalling acting and terrible singing

And yet not so, since I am sure my love's more ponderous than my tongue.' Lear, who is enraged by her refusal to play his game, banishes her and Kent, who stands up for the king's youngest daughter, and divides Cordelia's portion of his kingdom between the other two daughters so...

I walk like you used to do
With a soulstone in my shoe
Darkness ahead off the wide
Oh you can't always get life right
You can't always get life right
The blue branch stretch out against time
My blacken footprints are mine
Don't be this I invoke way on mine
It's the part on this dead lifeline
Ball is your soup who you fall
You never liked 'cause I'm old
Revive to most folk finds the bride
Well you can't always get life right
Can one what to do a lifetime
I'm coming out from your head
Collect and more claims the sound of your mind
A will a castle to share
And a boat for your bottles set high
You can't always get life right
And know my head settle on pikes
Singing merely, singing widely
