Itenerary:
Puerto Rico 7 Day
Day 1:
AFTER CHECKING INTO OUR ROOM AND GETTING RENTAL
CAR WE
WENT TO EL MORRO , THE
CASTLE AND THE CEMENTARY. AFTER WARDS GOT SOME
FOOD AND WALKED AROUND
OLD SAN JUAN.
DAY 2:
WE DROVE TO ARECIBO THE
NEXT MORNING TO CHECK OUT THE OBSERVATORY, CUEVA VENTANA, ARECIBO LIGHTHOUSE.
WOULD
SKIP THE OBSERVATORY UNLESS YOU ARE INTO THAT
TYPE OF THING. CUEVA VENTANA WAS
NICE HARD TO FIND BUT WORTH THE
TRIP. WE DIDNT GET TO DO THE TANAMA
RIVER CABE TUBING. FOUND OUT ABOUT IT TO
LATE. WE WENT TO
FEW BEACHES IN ARECIBO THEY WERE NICE.
WE STAYED AT HOTEL PARADOR EL BUEN
CAFE . CHEAP NICE AND CENTRALLY LOCATED. ROOMS
CLEAN.
DAY 3:
Woke up early and drove to
Rio Camuy Cave. We tried going the day before and the wait was 2 hrs long. so get there early to avoid long lines. The caves were awesome. must see.
After the caves we went to la planta waterfall .We found out about it from some locals we met. lots of families with kids but we could tell that we weren’t welcomed so we only stayed for short amount of time and left.
We drove to Gozalandia
Waterfall. Now this is a must see and a lot of fun. took some time to get there only because we kept getting lost. we payed some guy few bucks and parked in his lot, but you can drive in and there is a lot of parking inside. we passed the fist pool and went to the second one were you can jump off the rocks and do the rope swing.
After we drove to
Rincon and stayed for the night there at Rincon Beach Resort. We booked it the day before and got amazing deal on the room. the hotel is beautiful. right on the beach. rooms are nice and well maintained.
Day 4:
We left Rincon and went snorkeling at steps beach. it was ok not a whole lot of fish but water was nice. From there we drove to
Crash Boat Beach. This is my favorite beach on the island. nice water beautiful scenery and you can job of the pier what more can you ask for.
On the way to crash boat beach we bought food from the side of the road they were selling whole sausage potato make sure to pick up food and take it to the beach. From there we drove back to san juan and stayed the night at
Tres Palms Inn. The hotel was cheap and right across the street from the beach We stayed here for 2 nights.
Day 5:
We went to
El Yunque National Forest. Get there early or parking is a disaster. first parking spot you see take they have a shuttle that picks and drops off. hiking to the waterfall is about 20-30 minutes. easy hike for all ages.
After the waterfall we went to the luquillo kiosk to get some food. and then we went to the beach got some paddle boards swam a little bit and went back to the hotel.
Day 6:
We took excursion to culebra to flamingo beach. the snorkeling place they took us too was terrible did not see anything. But jumping off the boat made up for it, and
Flamingo beach is stunning.
One of the best beaches I have ever been to. Bring some money they have food vendors that you can by small stuff from. A trip to culebra or vieques is a must if in puerto rico.
That night we did the biobay in fajardo. we did it with eco action tours. They had terrible ratings but don’t listen to the reviews. you kayak in the dark and each kayak has glow sticks or small lights in the back to follow one another so it may be difficult for some and i think thats why people give it bad reviews. but it was amazing to see the water glow. This is also a must in puerto rico.
We stayed at the grand melia
Golf Resort for our last night. hotel is amazing and large you travel with gold carts to and from room. there is a beach on site with amazing sunsets.
Day 7:
Packed our stuff hit the beach one last time and said good bye to Puerto Rico till next time.
