Verulamium was a town in Roman Britain. It was sited in the southwest of the modern city of St Albans in Hertfordshire, Great Britain. A large portion of the Roman city remains unexcavated, being now park and agricultural land, though much has been built upon (see below). The ancient Watling Street passed through the city. Much of the site and its environs is now classed as a scheduled ancient monument.
Before the Romans established their settlement, there was already a tribal centre in the area which belonged to the Catuvellauni. This settlement is usually called Verlamion. The etymology is uncertain but the name has been reconstructed as *Uerulāmion, which would have a meaning like "[the tribe or settlement] of the broad hand" (Uerulāmos) in Brittonic. In this pre-Roman form, it was among the first places in Britain recorded by name. The settlement was established by Tasciovanus, who minted coins there.

In 2001 an initiative was started by the Swiss corporation New7Wonders Foundation to choose the New7Wonders of the World from a selection of 200 existing monuments.[12] Twenty-one finalists were announced January 1, 2006.[13] Egyptians were not happy that the only surviving original wonder, the Great Pyramid of Giza, would have to compete with the likes of the Statue of Liberty, the Sydney Opera House, and other landmarks, calling the project absurd. In response, Giza was named an honorary Candidate.[14] The results were announced on July 7, 2007, in Lisbon, Portugal:more info visit:more info visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonders_of_the_World

Rydal Mount Rydal Mount is a house in the small village of Rydal, near Ambleside in the English Lake District. It is best known as the home of the poet William Wordsworth from 1813 to his death in 1850.Wordsworth was born in Cockermouth in Cumberland in 1770, and knew the Lake District well from his childhood. He moved away to study at the University of Cambridge in 1787, and then travelled in Britain and Europe for 12 years. He spent over 8 years at Dove Cottage in nearby Grasmere from 1799 to 1808, but was forced to move to accommodate his growing family and many visitors. After a period in Allan Bank in Grasmere, the Wordsworths moved to Rydal Mount in 1813.more info visit:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rydal_Mount rydal mount barn gilcrux rydal mount camping rydal mount parking rydal ...
This is a very short video which I hadn't planned for, so enjoy your 40 seconds. I'm not a Christian in the sense you might like to think of someone being a Christian (if you're a Christian that is) but if you consider that the word Christ comes from the word Christos and before that Krista which has its origins in the word Krishna then I can be called a Krishnian. Pretty close really since I can say I love Jesus, I love God and I respect all true faiths. Krishna means the all attractive and God certainly fits that description. So this Cathedral (not Church as I incorrectly stated) is a monument to the love of God. It was built on the foundation of love and devotion and anyone with a soft heart (even the hard hearted) cannot fail to be moved by its majesty, its splendour and its history. ...
