Kishore Kumar (4 August 1929 – 13 October 1987), born Abhas Kumar Kanjilal Ganguly was an Indian film playback singer and an actor who also worked as lyricist, composer, producer, director, screenwriter and scriptwriter. Kishore Kumar sang in many Indian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya. He won 8 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for most number of Filmfare Awards won in that category. He was awarded the "Lata Mangeshkar Award" by the Madhya Pradesh government and from that year onwards, the Madhya Pradesh Government initiated a new award called the "Kishore Kumar Award" for contributions to Hindi cinema.
Kishore Kumar was born into the Ganguly family in Khandwa, Central Provinces and Berar (now in Madhya Pradesh) as Abhas Kumar Ganguly. His father Kunjalal Ganguly (Gangopadhya) was a lawyer. His mother Gouri Devi came from a wealthy Bengali family. Kishore was the youngest of four siblings, the other three being Ashok Kumar (the eldest), Sati Devi, and Anoop Kumar. The composer Bappi Lahiri is also related to Kishore Kumar on his mother's side.
Rajesh Khanna pronunciation (help·info); (born Jatin Khanna on 29 December 1942) is an Indian actor of Hindi films, and has been Hindi film producer and an Indian politician.
He appeared in 163 films of which 106 had him as the solo lead hero and 22 were two hero projects. He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards and was nominated for the same fourteen times. He received the maximum BFJA Awards for Best Actor (Hindi) – four times and nominated 25 times. He was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. Khanna is referred to as the "First Superstar" of Hindi cinema. He made his debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat and rose to prominence with his performances in films like Raaz, Baharon Ke Sapne, Ittefaq and Aradhana.
Khanna was born in Amritsar on 29 December 1942. He was adopted and raised by foster parents who were relatives of his biological parents. Khanna lived in Thakurdwar near Girgaon. Khanna attended St. Sebastian’s Goan High School in Girgaum, along with his friend Ravi Kapoor, who later took the stage name Jeetendra. Their mothers were friends. Khanna gradually started taking interest in theatre and did a of stage and theater plays in his school and college days and won many prizes in the inter college drama competitions. Khanna became a rare newcomer who struggled in his own MG sports car to get work in theatre and films in the early sixties. Both friends later studied in Kishinchand Chellaram College(KC). When Jeetendra went for his first film audition, it was Khanna who tutored him. Khanna's uncle changed Khanna's first name to Rajesh when Khanna decided to join films. His friends and his wife call him Kaka.

Plot: Widowed Shantidevi lives in a small village in India with her daughter. She would like to see her daughter get married and settled down in a decent family, however, her headstrong daughter falls in love with a Bombay-based man named Arun, and when met with disapproval, she elopes with him. Shantidevi refuses to do anything with her anymore. Now about 18 years later a friend of Arun, Dr. Shakti Kapoor comes to meet Shantidevi, informing her that both her daughter and Arun have passed on, leaving behind their daughter, Paayal. Shantidevi reluctantly welcomes Paayal to her house, but subsequently both warm up to each other. Paayal meets and falls in love with a slacker named Arjun, and when introduced to Shantidevi, is approved and accepted. However, Arjun does not meet with Shakti's approval, and when Shakti persuades Shantidevi, she too rejects Arjun. The question remains why is Shakti against Arjun's and Paayal's marriage, and what made Shantidevi change her mind about Arjun?

Plot: Vijay Kumar lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Bombay along with his wife, Suman, and is employed as the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Several years after their marriage, Suman gives birth to Suraj, and both shower him with their respective love and affection, as a result Suraj grows up to be a brat, falls into bad company, steals, and misses school. Plot: Chiranjeevi and Sarathbabu are police officers and very close friends as well. Both of them send a very notorious criminal gang (headed by Sudharshan)to jail. Chiru later marries Sarathbabu's sister - Raadhika and the couple also have a son. In the meantime the criminal gang escapes from jail and are trying to take revenge on both the officers. First they kill Sarathbabu and later Satyanarayana - a retired army officer - who is taking care of Raadhika and her son while Chiranjeeevi is away. Plot: Chaudhary Shambhunath (Balraj Sahni) considers the accumulation of wealth to be more important than education. He condones his sister's inattention at school and consequently she grows up "anpadh" (illiterate). When she finds herself married to a bibliophile her problems really begin. Unable to read the poetry her husband loves and being a rotten cook too, she becomes despised by her husband and her in-laws. Circumstances conspire to leave her homeless, husbandless and pregnant. Narrowly escaping from the attentions of a panderer she falls amongst friends and, with the birth of her daughter, she starts on the long road to redemption. An entertaining plea for education in general and for the education of girls in particular.
