Nicola un agente di polizia, che dall'esterno di una vetrina ha visto la moglie abbracciata ad uno sconosciuto, rientra a casa ed ha una furente disputa con la donna: questa lo ferisce con un mazzuolo da ghiaccio, ma poi verrà trovata brutalmente assassinata nella doccia. Il commissario Terzi, che dirige le indagini, dubita del suo dipendente anzi si dichiara certo che l'assassinio è opera sua, marito geloso e sconvolto. Tuttavia la sua ipotesi è contrastata da Sara Berardi, una criminologa, con la quale Carol, la figlia di Terzi, deve discutere la propria tesi, che verte sulle gesta di un maniaco sessuale (un certo Tribo), perito molti anni prima nel rogo del manicomio criminale cittadino. A giudizio di Sara, Tribo è ancora vivo ed è tornato ad uccidere.

Lamberto Bava
Lamberto Bava (born 3 April 1944) is an Italian film director. Born in Rome, Bava began worked as an assistant director on the film's of his father Mario Bava. Bava co-directed the television film La Venere d'Ille with his father and in 1980 directed his first solo feature film Macabre.
Bava continued work in the 1980s and collaborated with Dario Argento on films such as Demons. After 1990, Bava's work was predominantly involved with television, such as the Fantaghirò series.
Biography
Lamberto Bava was born in Rome, Italy on 3 April 1944. Lamberto's father Mario Bava was a film director was primarily known as a director of horror films. Lamberto's film career began working as an assistant director on his father's film Planet of the Vampires. Lamberto would collaborate with his father on several of his projects including Danger: Diabolik (1966), Twitch of the Death Nerve (1971) and Shock (1977) On Shock, Lamberto Bava was credited as a screenwriter as well as an assistant director. Lamberto Bava had a co-direction credit with his father Mario on the television film La Venere d'Ille, which was a film in the Il Giorno del Diavolo film series. Outside the work with his father, Lamberto also contributed to the story for films of Italian director Ruggero Deodato on his films Ultimo mondo cannibale (1977) and Cannibal Holocaust (1979).

Bava
Bava is a Sri Lankan name for god. There is a belief that if you have this name for your son or daughter you will be enriched with good fortune in terms of money and gold. This may be related to the early presence of Syriac Speaking Christians in Sri Lanca, as described by Cosmas Indicopleaustes in the 6th century.The Syriac word Bava is used to address the God-Holy Father and also the head of the Church- the Catholicose or Patriarch.
In the Syriac Christian traditions the Catholicoses and Patriarchs are addressed as Bava. It is the Syriac equivalent of the Latin/Greek title Pope. Both words literally translate to 'Fath
It is also use in one south side state Andhra Pradesh in India. Sister's husband is called Bava. Father's sister's son or mothers brothers son are called Bava. Girls address them as Bava. They can get married with each other.

Mario Bava
Mario Bava (31 July 1914 – 27 April 1980) was an Italian director, screenwriter, special effects artist and cinematographer from the "golden age" of Italian horror films. His work kick-started the giallo film genre and the modern "slasher film".
Biography
Mario Bava was born in Sanremo, Liguria on 31 July 1914. He is the son of Eugenio Bava (1886-1966), a sculptor who also worked as a special effects photographer and cameraman in the Italian silent movie industry. Mario Bava's first ambition was to become a painter. Unable to turn out paintings at a profitable rate, he went into his father's business, working as an assistant to other Italian cinematographers like Massimo Terzano. He also helped his father at the special effects department at Benito Mussolini's film factory, the Istituto LUCE.
Bava became a cinematographer in his own right in 1939, shooting two short films with Roberto Rossellini. He made his feature debut in the early 1940s. Bava's camerawork was an instrumental factor in developing the screen personas of such stars of the period as Gina Lollobrigida, Steve Reeves and Aldo Fabrizi.

Horror Channel
The Horror Channel (formerly The Horror Channel and Zone Horror) is a British television channel showing Horror films and television series and some science fiction. It is broadcast in the UK, Ireland and Italy.
Specialized programming includes cult films, classic horror, comedy, B movies, modern thrillers, series, home-produced specials, biographies and documentaries. Since takeover they've revamped the daytime schedule to include more series and introduced some slightly better known films and directors to prime while retaining the cult look and feel of the channel.
The Horror Channel is available as a free-to-air service on Eutelsat 28A.
Horror Channel was formerly available on the YouView platform via TalkTalk Plus TV on channel 487. This came at no extra cost to Entertainment Boost, or Entertainment Extra Boost customers in the UK. It was removed on 2 June 2015.
Horror Channel launched on Freeview on channel 70 as of 13 March 2015, a coincidence with the unlucky Friday the 13th event. This launch on the Freeview platform saw its viewership increase by some 300%.

Nicola un agente di polizia, che dall'esterno di una vetrina ha visto la moglie abbracciata ad uno sconosciuto, rientra a casa ed ha una furente disputa con la donna: questa lo ferisce con un mazzuolo da ghiaccio, ma poi verrà trovata brutalmente assassinata nella doccia. Il commissario Terzi, che dirige le indagini, dubita del suo dipendente anzi si dichiara certo che l'assassinio è opera sua, marito geloso e sconvolto. Tuttavia la sua ipotesi è contrastata da Sara Berardi, una criminologa, con la quale Carol, la figlia di Terzi, deve discutere la propria tesi, che verte sulle gesta di un maniaco sessuale (un certo Tribo), perito molti anni prima nel rogo del manicomio criminale cittadino. A giudizio di Sara, Tribo è ancora vivo ed è tornato ad uccidere.

(Il film sarebbe tratto da un soggetto di Dardano Sacchetti del 1971 - quindi pre-Profondo Rosso, realizzato su indicazione di Bava - e non di Lamberto Bava come spesso viene scritto. Regia di Mario Bava, musica dei Libra, che all'epoca avevano in formazione anche due storici componenti dei Goblin: Maurizio Guarini e Walter Martino. Con Daria Nicolodi, David Colin Jr., Ivan Rassimov e John Stainer. Ultimo film di Mario se si esclude il curioso film televisivo "La venere d'Ile").

Aaaah gli anni '80, che bel periodo per il cinema di genere, l'ultimo decennio in cui in Italia ne abbiamo sfornato di ottima qualità (basti pensare a Inferno e Phenomena di Dario Argento). Dèmoni, diretto dal figlio d'arte Lamberto Bava, è proprio figlio dei suoi tempi: trama esile esile, attori abbastanzi cani e personaggi ridotti a carne da macello, effettacci splatter di Sergio Stivaletti da far vomitare per davvero (non nel senso che siano fatti male, ANZI, in vita mia poche volte ne ho visti di così disgustosamente riusciti), ritmo mozzafiato e una colonna sonora di Claudio Simonetti a condurre le danze, senza contare tutte le trovate di regia di Bava figlio che, pur lontano dagli standard di quel fenomeno del suo babbo, dà prova di saperci fare mica poco. Insomma, un divertimento disgustosamente perfetto, raccapricciante al punto giusto e senza impegno nè velleità artistiche, ma quanto mestiere ci hanno messo nel realizzarlo! Un film cazzone perfetto per una serata fra amici, spassoso e chiassoso e che a molti potrà far arricciare il naso e strillare al trash, ma che non può non piacere agli appassionati dell'horror all'italiana. Già la premessa è geniale: un gruppo di persone è stato invitato in un cinema nel quale viene proiettato un film horror sugli zombie e sfiga vuole che durante la proiezione, a mo' di contagio, le persone iniziano a trasformarsi una dopo l'altra in zombie, esattamente come nel film che stanno guardando. Bava dunque omaggia il cinema horror riconoscendogli il ruolo fondamentale di generatore di mostri capace di materializzare e rendere reali le nostre paure e il lato oscuro dell'immaginazione, spargendo la paura fra gli spettatori che a loro volta la trasmetteranno a coloro che stanno fuori dal cinema, a dimostrazione del potere e dell'incidenza che la settima arte ha avuto sulla vita dell'uomo comune. Goliardica la scelta di far finire il primo tempo dei due film, l'uno contenuto nell'altro, nello stesso momento come in un gioco di scatole cinesi, lodevole la capacità di servirsi sia del contenuto che del contenitore per generare la suspence ed efficace l'inaspettato doppio finale. Nell'epilogo c'è spazio anche per un senso di apocalisse mutuato da Fuga da New York e L'Alba dei Morti Viventi, a concludere le suggestioni create dal demoniaco tour de force italiano che infatti piacque anche all'estero e non poco. Un delizioso prodotto di genere tutto da gustare.

Già la premessa è geniale: un gruppo di persone è stato invitato in un cinema nel quale viene proiettato un film horror sugli zombie e sfiga vuole che durante la proiezione, a mo' di contagio, le persone iniziano a trasformarsi una dopo l'altra in zombie, esattamente come nel film che stanno guardando. Bava dunque omaggia il cinema horror riconoscendogli il ruolo fondamentale di generatore di mostri capace di materializzare e rendere reali le nostre paure e il lato oscuro dell'immaginazione, spargendo la paura fra gli spettatori che a loro volta la trasmetteranno a coloro che stanno fuori dal cinema, a dimostrazione del potere e dell'incidenza che la settima arte ha avuto sulla vita dell'uomo comune. Goliardica la scelta di far finire il primo tempo dei due film, l'uno contenuto nell'altro, nello stesso momento come in un gioco di scatole cinesi, lodevole la capacità di servirsi sia del contenuto che del contenitore per generare la suspence ed efficace l'inaspettato doppio finale. Nell'epilogo c'è spazio anche per un senso di apocalisse mutuato da Fuga da New York e L'Alba dei Morti Viventi, a concludere le suggestioni create dal demoniaco tour de force italiano che infatti piacque anche all'estero e non poco. Un delizioso prodotto di genere tutto da gustare.

Nicola un agente di polizia, che dall'esterno di una vetrina ha visto la moglie abbracciata ad uno sconosciuto, rientra a casa ed ha una furente disputa con la donna: questa lo ferisce con un mazzuolo da ghiaccio, ma poi verrà trovata brutalmente assassinata nella doccia. Il commissario Terzi, che dirige le indagini, dubita del suo dipendente anzi si dichiara certo che l'assassinio è opera sua, marito geloso e sconvolto. Tuttavia la sua ipotesi è contrastata da Sara Berardi, una criminologa, con la quale Carol, la figlia di Terzi, deve discutere la propria tesi, che verte sulle gesta di un maniaco sessuale (un certo Tribo), perito molti anni prima nel rogo del manicomio criminale cittadino. A giudizio di Sara, Tribo è ancora vivo ed è tornato ad uccidere.
