China's Final Port - Mega Structure.
Yangshan Port (Chinese: 洋山港, p Yángshān Gǎng), formally the Yangshan Deep-Water Port (洋山深水港, p Yángshān Shēnshuǐ Gǎng), is a deep water port for container ships in Hangzhou Bay south of Shanghai. Connected to Shanghai's Pudong New Area by the Donghai Bridge and forming part of the Port of Shanghai, the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan are administered separately as part of Zhejiang's Shengsi County.

This video was produced for the Shanghai Port Authority upon completion of a design engagement. Our instructions were to produce a design for the "most advanced container terminal in the wold."
ATS applied its principles of automation design to meet this high standard and succeeded. Daniel Reiss, the CEO of ATS and the Project Leader was awarded a "Certificate of Merit" by the Shanghai Society of Consulting Engineers for his work on the project.
The video demonstrates how sound concepts can be applied to real world requirements and physical constraints; and, in the process reduce land requirements by 45%, double throughput and reduce OPEX by more than 50%.

ouvrant sur la mer de Chine et le commerce maritime international au débouché du Fleuve
Bleu, le Changjiang (ou Yangtse).
Grâce au projet de création dun port en eau profonde sur lîle de Yangshan, dont le coût est évalué à 16 milliards de dollars, elle est devenue le premier port de lempire du Milieu (Zhongguo).
En effet, alors quelle nétait pas encore classée parmi les vingt premiers ports du monde au tournant des années 1970, la ville de Shanghai a atteint la quatrième position au milieu des années 1990 et elle a poursuivi son ascension en se classant au premier rang pour le trafic de marchandises.
La zone de Pudong (1,5 millions dhabitants), qui a contribué à vivifier substantiellement lactivité du port, sest doublée récemment de la nouvelle zone de Yangshan, lautorisant de fait à dépasser ses plus grands concurrents : Singapour, Rotterdam et Hong Kong.

Connected to Shanghai's Pudong New Area by the Donghai Bridge and forming part of the Port of Shanghai, the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan are administered separately as part of Zhejiang's Shengsi County.

It is connected to the mainland via the 32.5 km (20.2 mi) Donghai Bridge, opened on 1 December 2005 as the world's longest sea bridge. The six-lane highway bridge took 6,000 workers two and half years to construct.

En effet, alors quelle nétait pas encore classée parmi les vingt premiers ports du monde au tournant des années 1970, la ville de Shanghai a atteint la quatrième position au milieu des années 1990 et elle a poursuivi son ascension en se classant au premier rang pour le trafic de marchandises.
La zone de Pudong (1,5 millions dhabitants), qui a contribué à vivifier substantiellement lactivité du port, sest doublée récemment de la nouvelle zone de Yangshan, lautorisant de fait à dépasser ses plus grands concurrents : Singapour, Rotterdam et Hong Kong.
