BOLINGBROOK, Ill. -- Four schools were on lockdown Monday morning after two people were shot to death at a nearby warehouse.
The lockdown was lifted just before 11 a.m. The schools that were affected include Bolingbrook High School, Jane Addams Middle School, Independence Elementary School and Oak View Elementary School.
The soft lockdown, which lasted 39 minutes on Monday morning, was at the request of Bolingbrook police, school officials said, and only as a precautionary measure. The shooting occurred two blocks away.
Bolingbrook police confirm two people were killed in a shooting near Veterans Parkway and Remington in the southwest suburb. One of the fatalities appears to be the gunman, police said. Several law enforcement agencies responded to the scene.
Officials said around 10:30 a.m. the situation is "wrapping up." They released no other details, but are expected to talk soon

The early 90's were an odd time to document. For some strange reason, I always video taped everything for "posterity." Or at least, that was the excuse I gave to people who looked at me sideways while I walked around with a giant VHS camera on my shoulder or filming while attempting to hide the camera in my backpack.
High school was an awkward time for most people and even more so for myself and all of it painfully documented here - for posterity.
There are three parts: The first, you follow me on one of the last days of school for me in early June 1992. The second, the senior picnic where we eat free fried chicken. The third, our official last day of school.
Keep in mind, this was 22 years ago and I haven't viewed this since the day it was filmed. I did no editing and kept in all the awful and embarrassingly painful banter. Let's just say, for the posterity.

Bolingbrook is a large village in Will and DuPage Counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. As of the 2010 US Census, the population is 73,366. It is the 17th largest incorporated place in Illinois.
Bolingbrook is located at 41°41′55″N 88°5′19″W / 41.69861°N 88.08861°W / 41.69861; -88.08861 (41.698613, -88.088668) approximately 28 miles southwest of Downtown Chicago.
Bolingbrook borders the communities of Woodridge, Romeoville, Plainfield, and Naperville.
Interstate 55 Stevenson Expy. runs through the southern part of the village heading northeast to Chicago and southwest to Plainfield and Joliet. Interstate 355 Veterans Memorial Tollway (formerly N-S Tollway) runs along the far east side of the village between New Lenox and Addison. Illinois 53, locally known as Bolingbrook Drive, runs north-south through the middle of the village.
Other main streets in Bolingbrook include Boughton Rd., Lily Cache Ln., Weber Rd., Veterans Pkwy. (formerly Naperville Rd.), Briarcliffe Rd., Hassert Blvd. (formerly 111th St.), Rodeo Dr. (formerly 119th St.), Schmidt Rd., Crossroads Pkwy., and Remington Blvd.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. --Investigators have identified the men killed in a murder-suicide Monday at a Bolingbrook industrial park. The men have the same surname. The Will County Coroner’s office identifies them as 48-year-old Degang Zhang, who lived in Aurora. His cause of death was a single gunshot wound. 39-year-old Xinling Zhang of Naperville was shot multiple times with what police sources say was a 32-caliber handgun. Officials say the gunman walked into the offices of YCB International around 9:40 a.m. He shot one man then he reportedly turned the gun on himself. But what led to the shooting, investigators say, is still under investigation. Autopsies have been scheduled for tomorrow. Two other workers witnessed it, but were not hurt. BOLINGBROOK, Ill. -- Four schools were on lockdown Monday morning after two people were shot to death at a nearby warehouse.
The lockdown was lifted just before 11 a.m. The schools that were affected include Bolingbrook High School, Jane Addams Middle School, Independence Elementary School and Oak View Elementary School.
The soft lockdown, which lasted 39 minutes on Monday morning, was at the request of Bolingbrook police, school officials said, and only as a precautionary measure. The shooting occurred two blocks away.

The early 90's were an odd time to document. For some strange reason, I always video taped everything for "posterity." Or at least, that was the excuse I gave to people who looked at me sideways while I walked around with a giant VHS camera on my shoulder or filming while attempting to hide the camera in my backpack.
High school was an awkward time for most people and even more so for myself and all of it painfully documented here - for posterity.
There are three parts: The first, you follow me on one of the last days of school for me in early June 1992. The second, the senior picnic where we eat free fried chicken. The third, our official last day of school.
Keep in mind, this was 22 years ago and I haven't viewed this since the day it was filmed. I did no editing and kept in all the awful and embarrassingly painful banter. Let's just say, for the posterity.

The men have the same surname. The Will County Coroner’s office identifies them as 48-year-old Degang Zhang, who lived in Aurora. His cause of death was a single gunshot wound.
39-year-old Xinling Zhang of Naperville was shot multiple times with what police sources say was a 32-caliber handgun.
Officials say the gunman walked into the offices of YCB International around 9:40 a.m. He shot one man then he reportedly turned the gun on himself.
But what led to the shooting, investigators say, is still under investigation.
Autopsies have been scheduled for tomorrow.
Two other workers witnessed it, but were not hurt.
The company is a car and truck supply importer and the shooting caused a lockdown in the nearby office complexes.
