Richard Evans (January 23, 1935) is a retired American actor, best known for his work in television.
Throughout his career, Evans has guest starred in TV series such as Wagon Train, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Sea Hunt, Cheyenne, The Rifleman, The Fugitive, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, The Men from Shiloh, Star Trek (episode "Patterns of Force") and Bonanza. He also played secondary roles in several B-films.
Evans is best remembered for his portrayal of high school teacher Paul Hanley in the soap opera Peyton Place, a role he played in 1965.

Plot: Ex-Union soldier James Evans is on his way to San Francisco to begin a new life after the war. While passing through a desert town, he is confronted by former Confederate Will Dunlap. As Will pushes for a confrontation, James hopes to leave the life of a soldier behind.

Plot: Set in the 1940's, James Earl Jones as an an old clockmaker faces racism and is tried for murder when the racist is killed. However, Kevin Kilner comes forward and claims to have commmitted the crime in self defense. All the while, Kilner's family life is in disarray with various crises including his daughter catching meningitis.

Plot: Roger Manners ('Warner Baxter' (qv)), a former aircraft manufacturer is wrongly accused and convicted of embezzlement of $400,000 and is given a long prison sentence. There he must decide rather or not to get involved in a prison break, or stay there while his wife, Shirley ('Karin Booth' (qv)), can prove his innocence by playing at romance with the real culprit. More stock footage and narration than dialogue.
