Muyil es uno de los sitios más grandes de la riviera maya, está dividido en dos secciones: Muyil A, que se ubica a orillas del lago Chunyaxché, cuenta con varias plazas, la primera desde la entrada tiene varios edificios derruidos y uno en pie; el templo rosa al norte es un basamento con varias subestructuras y el castillo en el área oriental es el edificio mas alto de la costa. El área de Muyil B está cerrada al público, existen algunos montículos y al menos un edificio en peligro de colapso junto a un pequeño cenote. Éste edificio conserva restos de pintura mural muy deteriorados.

Visit Muyil Archeological Site
A visit to one of the largest archeological sites within the Sian Ka'an reserve. Muyil was an important commercial center for the ancient Mayans with trade in products from Honduras and Yucatan.
Interpretive Nature Trail
On the Canan-Ha trail, visitors will discover the incredible diversity of flora and fauna in the tropical semi-deciduous forest. Half way through, we will climb to the lookout at a height of 19 meters. From the lookout, you can view the different ecosystems within the reserve: tropical semi-deciduous forest, lagoons, savannas, mangroves, and Peten mangroves. All the while, you will be supporting the Muyil community, responsible for the preservation of the site.
Boat ride through the Muyil and Chunyaxché Lagoons.
Riding along the crystalline turquoise waters of the lagoons, we will reach the Xtlapak ruins where we hop into an ancient canal built by the Mayans over 1000 years ago. While the gentle current pushes us along for approximately 45 minutes, we will enjoy bird songs and the whisper of the wind above.
Return by Boat
After the absolutely enchanting experience of floating down the canal for 800m, a boat will return us and our transportation will wainting for Us to back our Hotel

Muyil (also known as Chunyaxché) was one of the earliest and longest inhabited ancient Maya sites on the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is located approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the coastal site of Tulum, in the Municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Artifacts found here date back from as early as 350 BCE. to as late as 1200-1500 CE. The ruins of Muyil are an example of Peten architecture, like those found in southern Mayan sites with their steep walled pyramids such as Tikal in Guatemala. It is situated on the Sian Ka'an lagoon, a name meaning "Where the Sky is Born". Muyil was located along a trade route on the Caribbean once accessible via a series of canals. Among the most commonly traded goods were Jade, obsidian, chocolate, honey, feathers, chewing gum, and salt. It is believed that throughout much of its history, Muyil had strong ties to the center of Coba located some 44 kilometres (27 mi) the northeast. The 2010 federal census reported a population of 191 inhabitants in the locality.

A visit to one of the largest archeological sites within the Sian Ka'an reserve. Muyil was an important commercial center for the ancient Mayans with trade in products from Honduras and Yucatan.
Interpretive Nature Trail
On the Canan-Ha trail, visitors will discover the incredible diversity of flora and fauna in the tropical semi-deciduous forest. Half way through, we will climb to the lookout at a height of 19 meters. From the lookout, you can view the different ecosystems within the reserve: tropical semi-deciduous forest, lagoons, savannas, mangroves, and Peten mangroves. All the while, you will be supporting the Muyil community, responsible for the preservation of the site.
Boat ride through the Muyil and Chunyaxché Lagoons.
Riding along the crystalline turquoise waters of the lagoons, we will reach the Xtlapak ruins where we hop into an ancient canal built by the Mayans over 1000 years ago. While the gentle current pushes us along for approximately 45 minutes, we will enjoy bird songs and the whisper of the wind above.
Return by Boat
After the absolutely enchanting experience of floating down the canal for 800m, a boat will return us and our transportation will wainting for Us to back our Hotel

Wir fahren durch das kristallklare, türkisfarbene Wasser der Lagune bis zur Ruine von Xtlapak, um uns von dort aus dann auf einem von den Maya vor 1000 Jahren gebauten Kanal für 45 Minuten treiben zu lassen. Hier geniesst man das Rauschen des Windes und das Singen der Vögel.
Rückkehr im Boot
Nachdem wir dann 800 Meter angenehm getrieben sind, wird uns ein Boot zum Fahrzeug bringen mit dem wir dann nach Tulum zum Essen am Meer fahren werden.

It is located approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of the coastal site of Tulum, in the Municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Artifacts found here date back from as early as 350 BCE. to as late as 1200-1500 CE. The ruins of Muyil are an example of Peten architecture, like those found in southern Mayan sites with their steep walled pyramids such as Tikal in Guatemala. It is situated on the Sian Ka'an lagoon, a name meaning "Where the Sky is Born". Muyil was located along a trade route on the Caribbean once accessible via a series of canals. Among the most commonly traded goods were Jade, obsidian, chocolate, honey, feathers, chewing gum, and salt. It is believed that throughout much of its history, Muyil had strong ties to the center of Coba located some 44 kilometres (27 mi) the northeast.[1] The 2010 federal census reported a population of 191 inhabitants in the locality. México ocupa el tercer lugar a nivel mundial en número de sitios inscritos en el programa de Reservas de la Biosfera dentro de la Red Mundial y es el líder en América Latina y el Caribe. Sea usted Bienvenido a nuestra excursión: "Sian Ka'an Natura", y viva un encuentro con la naturaleza, la cultura maya y una emocionante aventura en la selva.
Casa Maya
Los llevaremos a conocer una vivienda maya donde se les mostraran proceso de moler maíz. Y preparar uno de los alimentos básicos de la comida maya, la tortilla.
Visita al Sitio Arqueológico de Muyil
Visita guiada a uno de los sitios arqueológicos más grandes ubicado en la reserva de Sian Ka'an. La importancia de Muyil como antiguo centro de comercio Maya, con su intercambio de productos provenientes de Honduras y Yucatán.
Sendero Interpretativo de la Naturaleza
En el sendero Canan-Ha, los visitantes conocerán la diversidad de flora y fauna de la selva mediana. Al final del Sendero, subimos al mirador con una altura de 19 mts. Desde el mirador se pueden observar los diferentes ecosistemas de la Reserva: Selva Mediana, lagunas, sabanas, manglares y petenes.
Paseo en Lancha por las lagunas de Muyil y Chunyaxché.
Haremos un paseo por las cristalinas aguas color turquesa de las lagunas, hasta la ruina Xtlapak, donde Flotaremos a un antiguo canal construido por los Mayas hace más de mil años, y nos dejaremos llevar por la suave corriente por un espacio de 35 min. Aprox. Gozando de la tranquilidad y el sonido del viento.
Regreso en lancha
Después de la gratificante experiencia de flotar por 800m, una lancha nos traerá de regreso e iniciaremos el camino de regreso a nuestros Hoteles.
