"Holy Cross Monastery - a story of survival" is a documentary about the life and difficulties of a small English-speaking Russian Orthodox monastic community in the mountains of West Virginia. The film shows daily life at the monastery and the far-reaching effect this small impoverished community has on the monastery's neighbors and pilgrims and even the world.

Mountain Monks is a docu-travelogue produced and filmed in the Eastern Himalayas by Vasudeva Joly for BhakTV. Mountain Monks takes a candid look at the many similarities between two monastic traditions of Tibet and India, as seen in Lamaist Buddhism and Vaishnava Hinduism. The first half-hour of the film is set in Darjeeling and the scenic foothills of North Bengal. The second half-hour starts in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. In the surrounding mountains Vasudeva interviews a young lama at the ancient Rumtek Monastery, and takes us on a scary ride up a steep mountain road that was destroyed by a 6.9 earthquake in 2011. Finally we come to to the glacial Changghu Lake, 3,780 meters above sea level at the Tibetan border. The travelogue ends in an unplanned but peaceful encounter with a Himalayan black bear.

Romania’s monasteries are known worldwide for their magnificent beauty, but what do we know about the people that live there? How different is the life they lead? How different is the way they see the world?
Behind the Monastery Walls presents a selection of intimate and inspiring interviews in which nuns and monks in Romanian monasteries lay bare their thoughts and real beliefs.
Behind the Monastery Walls is my graduation film from BA Media Production Coventry University. I received a scholarship from the Peter Kirk Memorial Fund supported by the European Parliament and produced 2 short documentaries which talks about monastic life in Romania (Behind the Monastery Walls) and in England (Sisters in Love).

Monastery (plural: monasteries) denotes the building, or complex of buildings, that houses a room reserved for prayer (e.g. an oratory) as well as the domestic quarters and workplace(s) of monastics, whether monks or nuns, and whether living in community or alone (hermits).
Monasteries may vary greatly in size – a small dwelling accommodating only a hermit, or in the case of communities anything from a single building housing only one senior and two or three junior monks or nuns, to vast complexes and estates housing tens or hundreds. A monastery complex typically comprises a number of buildings which include a church, dormitory, cloister, refectory, library, balneary and infirmary. Depending on the location, the monastic order and the occupation of its inhabitants, the complex may also include a wide range of buildings that facilitate self-sufficiency and service to the community. These may include a hospice, a school and a range of agricultural and manufacturing buildings such as a barn, a forge or a brewery.

UE - Exploring an Abandoned Monastery
Technically a convent, this 1936 building used to house 90 nuns before closing its doors. It sits on a bluff overlooking the water not far from where I grew up and was the center of many local myths and legends. I first visited the building four or five years ago and loyal viewers may remember I posted a video of myself spending the night in this abandoned convent exactly one year ago. The caretaker lives right next to the building and makes frequent rounds throughout the day. He has also contracted the service of multiple guard dogs who will viciously greet you upon entering the property. -

Life in a Japanese Zen monastery
Peter Barakan interviews Muho Noelke, the German abbot of Antaiji. Antaiji is a Zen monastery that is located deep in the mountains, close to the Japanese sea. The monastery commits itself to the practice of seated meditation and the study of the Buddha's teaching in the tradition of Dogen Zenji and Sawaki Kodo Roshi. Tthe community also cultivates the fields around the monastery, cuts grass and trees and does construction work to keep self-sufficient. In the interview, Abbot Muho explains about zazen, community life and the relation between teacher and student. Another contraversial topic is the precept of not-killing and eating meat. Mountain Monks is a docu-travelogue produced and filmed in the Eastern Himalayas by Vasudeva Joly for BhakTV. Mountain Monks takes a candid look at the many similarities between two monastic traditions of Tibet and India, as seen in Lamaist Buddhism and Vaishnava Hinduism. The first half-hour of the film is set in Darjeeling and the scenic foothills of North Bengal. The second half-hour starts in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. In the surrounding mountains Vasudeva interviews a young lama at the ancient Rumtek Monastery, and takes us on a scary ride up a steep mountain road that was destroyed by a 6.9 earthquake in 2011. Finally we come to to the glacial Changghu Lake, 3,780 meters above sea level at the Tibetan border. The travelogue ends in an unplanned but peaceful encounter with a Himalayan black bear.

Technically a convent, this 1936 building used to house 90 nuns before closing its doors. It sits on a bluff overlooking the water not far from where I grew up and was the center of many local myths and legends. I first visited the building four or five years ago and loyal viewers may remember I posted a video of myself spending the night in this abandoned convent exactly one year ago. The caretaker lives right next to the building and makes frequent rounds throughout the day. He has also contracted the service of multiple guard dogs who will viciously greet you upon entering the property.

720p HD Emulator upscaled Quality 60fps Level's played in this part: Dragon Realms (3/3) Monkey Monastery So here we are in the only ice level in the game. Not a lot of originality or variety of colours in this level and I think there were many wasted opportunities in this level such as references to Agent 9 and Bentley. I mean I know we get Batholemew but there's no communication with him, and he doesn't even say anything about Bentley. The level is mediocre but I don't find it that memorable. Not a lot of originality or variety of colours in this level and I think there were many wasted opportunities in this level such as references to Agent 9 and Bentley. I mean I know we get Batholemew but there's no communication with him, and he doesn't even say anything about Bentley. The level is mediocre but I don't find it that memorable. It's simple enough to play through though, APART FROM THAT THIRD PLATFORM ON THE WAY TO THE CHALLENGE PORTAL, F**K THAT SH*T. Haha. The slide in this level is much easier that I remember it being in my longplay, and the Riptoc factory challenge was veeerrry easy. So yeah this level did not even have hard challenges, and also this is the level I mention in my first set of Let's Play's with Alex about there being a spelling error in one of the dialogue boxes. I point it out when it occurrs. This game was unbelieveably rushed. Just to think right now if this game was completed in production we'd technically only be still in same equivalent of Midday Gardens in Spyro 3 at this point as this game intended to have a second homeworld. Where there may have been another ice level. Anyhow. I hope you guys enjoy the video. :)
