Prisco's NFL Mock Draft 9.0: Bolts nab Tunsil, Titans still get a top tackle

Just when we think we have our mock drafts figured out, the Los Angeles Rams go and swing a blockbuster deal for the first overall pick.

Now try and figure it all out.

It's obvious the Rams made the move up to get the top overall pick from the Tennessee Titans with a quarterback in mind. But which one is it? I would take Cal's Jared Goff, but I could see where North Dakota State's Carson Wentz would be their guy.

If that's the case, I still have Cleveland taking Goff with the second pick, which means quarterbacks would go 1-2. That's the way it should be.

The Titans, who get the Rams' 15th pick, can still land a top tackle, even if it isn't Mississippi's Laremy Tunsil. I have them getting Notre Dame's Ronnie Stanley in this mock, which is Mock 9.0 for me.

We have less than two weeks to go until the first round, which means the picture should start to clear up. Yeah, sure it will.

Expect more trades to follow -- making this mock obsolete again.

1. Los Angeles Rams

Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: They made the move up with a eye on a quarterback, and for now I will put Wentz here. That could change.

2. Cleveland Browns

Jared Goff, QB, California: He's the best quarterback in this draft, so they make the decision to take him. He's more NFL-ready than Wentz.

3. San Diego Chargers

Laremy Tunsil , T, Mississippi: They need to get more protection up front for Philip Rivers. The trade by the Rams allows them to get the best tackle in the draft.

4. Dallas Cowboys

Jalen Ramsey, CB-S, Florida State: He can play either corner or safety in their defense and I think he could be really good at both. There is value in versatility.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

Myles Jack, LB, UCLA: They must improve the speed of their defense, and he can do that. He is the best player in this draft.

6. Baltimore Ravens

DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon: They end up with one of the best down players in this draft. This kid is a force against the run and he can rush the passer.

7. San Francisco 49ers

Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: I stay with a quarterback in this spot. Lynch is a raw, but there is a lot to like. Once he fixes his footwork, he will be much better.

8. Philadelphia Eagles

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: OK, I believe Howie Roseman. He values running backs and Elliott is the best in this draft. So plug him in.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State: They have to get better in terms of the edge rush. Bosa falling this far would be great for Tampa Bay.

10. New York Giants

Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State: I just like the idea of adding a speed linebacker. They have the makings of a special defense if they can get faster at that spot.

11. Chicago Bears

Shaq Lawson, DE-OLB, Clemson: They need more edge rushers on their front. He has the tools to make the transition to playing standing up in their scheme.

12. New Orleans Saints

Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville: I will keep him in this spot. They need to get better up front, and he can push the pocket from the middle. That is key in their division.

13. Miami Dolphins

William Jackson, CB, Houston: They need help on the back end and this kid is a special athlete. He is long and can run. They need that.

14. Oakland Raiders

Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida: They added Sean Smith in free agency, so why not another to go with him. Hargreaves is a solid cover corner.

15. Tennessee Titans

Ronnie Stanley, T, Notre Dame: This would be great for the Titans. They would end up with the second-rated tackle in the draft and a bunch of picks in the trade.

16. Detroit Lions

Taylor Decker, T, Ohio State: They have to get better up front, and Decker is a player who could play left or right tackle.

17. Atlanta Falcons

Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama: I will keep him in this spot since they need help at linebacker. Ragland is a good player who might not have great speed, but he plays faster than his times.

18. Indianapolis Colts

Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama: They have to get stronger up front. Reed is a big, powerful player who can also push the pocket.

19. Buffalo Bills

Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson: They have to get a left end to replace Mario Williams and Dodd would seem to fit the mold. Scouts like him a lot more than I do.

20. New York Jets

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia: They have to get more pass-rush help. Floyd would fit in their 3-4 scheme as an edge guy.

21. Washington Redskins

Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: Corner is a major position of need. They have to get help there. Apple is a talented player who could step in and start right away.

22. Houston Texans

Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame: They need speed in the worst way on offense. Fuller would be a nice complement to DeAndre Hopkins.

23. Minnesota Vikings

Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi: I've had him here in a lot of my mocks, so I will keep him in the spot. They need a big-play threat and he is that guy.

24. Cincinnati Bengals

Josh Doctson, WR, TCU: They have to get help for A.J. Green. They suffered two hits at the position in free agency, so Doctson would help soften the blow.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers

Jack Conklin, T, Michigan State: He would compete with Alejandro Villanueva for the starting left tackle spot. He's a self-made brawler.

26. Seattle Seahawks

A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama: He's big and powerful and the Seahawks could use help inside on their line. I have them passing up offensive line help here.

27. Green Bay Packers

Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor: They need to get help inside and Billings could be that guy. He could become a force in the run game.

28. Kansas City Chiefs

Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson: They lost Sean Smith, so why not a cocky, good man cover player to replace him?

29. Arizona Cardinals

Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama: The middle of their line had issues last season. If they could get Kelly, the draft's best center, their middle three would be much improved from a year ago.

30. Carolina Panthers

Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia: The back end of their defense needs help. Joseph is a player who scouts say will go in the first round. This is a good spot.

31. Denver Broncos

Chris Jones, DE, Mississippi State: They have to get more depth up front, even with the signing of Jared Crick. Jones is a big-time talent who could take a little time to learn.

The Chargers luck into Laremy Tunsil. (USATSI)
