The following events occurred in August 1932:
Meena Kumari (1 August 1932 – 31 March 1972), born Mahjabeen Bano, was an Indian film actress and poet. She is regarded as one of the most prominent actresses to have appeared on the screens of Hindi Cinema. During a career spanning 30 years from her childhood to her death, she starred in more than ninety films, many of which have achieved classic and cult status today. She is regarded as one of the geatest Hindi movie actresses of all time.
Kumari gained a reputation for playing grief-stricken and tragic roles, and her performances have been praised and reminisced throughout the years. Like one of her best-known roles, Chhoti Bahu, in Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962), Kumari became addicted to alcohol. Her life and prosperous career were marred by heavy drinking, troubled relationships, an ensuing deteriorating health, and her death from liver cirrhosis in 1972. Kumari is often cited by media and literary sources as "The Tragedy Queen", both for her frequent portrayal of sorrowful and dramatic roles in her films and her real-life story.
Syed Amir Haider Kamal Naqvi, popularly known as Kamal Amrohi (17 January 1918 – 11 February 1993) was an Indian film director and screenwriter. He was a Shi'a Muslim and an Urdu and Hindi poet. He is famous for his Hindi films such as Mahal (1949), Pakeezah (1972) and Razia Sultan (1983). He established Kamal Pictures (Mahal Films) in 1953 and Kamalistan Studio in Bombay in 1958.
Kamal Amrohi was born in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh in India and later took on the name Kamal Amrohi (or Amrohvi).
In 1938, he left Amroha to study in Lahore, now part of Pakistan, where singer K. L. Saigal discovered him and took him to Mumbai (Bombay) to work for Sohrab Modi's Minerva Movietoon film company, where he started his career working on films like Jailor (1938), Pukar (1939), Bharosa (1940), A.R.Kardar's film (Shahjehan 1946). He made his debut as a director in 1949, with Mahal, starring Madhubala and Ashok Kumar, which was a musical hit, with songs by Lata Mangeshkar and Rajkumari Dubey.
Kumari may refer to:
The Meena is a tribe found mainly in the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh regions of India. Its name is also transliterated as Meenanda or Mina. The Meenas claim connection to the Matsya avatar of Vishnu, and the ancient Matsya Kingdom. They celebrate Meenesh Jayanti in the name of Vishnu on the third day of the Chaitra month's Shukla paksha.
The word "Meena" is derived from Meen, the Sanskrit word for fish, and the Meenas claim descent from the Matsya avatar, or fish incarnation, of Vishnu. They also claim to be descendants of the people of the Matsya Kingdom, which flourished in the 6th century B.C. Pramod Kumar notes that it is likely that the tribes living in the ancient Matsya kingdom were called Meena but it cannot be said with certainty that there is anything common between them and the modern Meenas.
The Meenas ruled at certain places in Rajasthan till they were overpowered by invading Rajputs. From Meenas the Bundi was captured by Rao Dewa (A.D. 1342), Dhundhar by Kachhwaha Rajputs and Chopoli fell to the Muslim rulers. Kota, Jhalawar, Karauli and Jalore were the other areas of earlier Meena influence where they were forced to surrender ultimately.

I fell in love at second sight
At the end of the night
I told you "You’re beautiful."
Yeah, I wanted to
Days are getting colder, felt the winter strangle the fall
Your birthday then Christmas, another year has come and gone
Then it was spring and I couldn’t wait to take you out dancing
The sickness, the darkness consumed my forsaken soul
Then it was June, but you weren’t around, I wanted to find you
You told me not to look so damn hard, but I did
Like you right from the start
Your baby teeth just chewing and gnawing my heart
Just wouldn’t let it go
I didn’t want you to
I shrugged off my armor, my weapons, and denounced my faith
I’m coming to get you, God be damned if he gets in my way
Cause if he does, I’ll cut him in thirds
I’ll cough up a prayer for him
My blood damns you Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
Then I’ll wage war against anyone that dares to stop me from
I’ll find you, I'll rescue you from the light my love
Feel the heat of their blood on the side of my throat
I can’t get their taste off my tongue
I chewed through the bones, killed their kids, burned their homes
I felt their sharp soot in my lungs
But you told me "No," you left me because you just couldn’t love me.
But baby, its too late; they’re all dead. What the hell did I do?
What if you stayed? What if you did? What if you wanted to?
