The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Japanese: ゼルダの伝説 ムジュラの仮面, Hepburn: Zeruda no Densetsu: Mujura no Kamen) is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It was released in Japan on April 27, 2000, in North America on October 26, 2000, and in Europe on November 17, 2000. Approximately 314,000 copies of the game were sold during its first week in Japan, and three million copies were sold worldwide. The game was rereleased for the Nintendo GameCube as part of The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition in 2003, and the Wii's Virtual Console service in 2009. An enhanced remake for the Nintendo 3DS, titled The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, was released in February 2015.
Majora's Mask is the sixth main installment in The Legend of Zelda series and the second using 3D graphics, the first being the game's predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Considered by critics to be "darker" among the Zelda games franchise, Majora's Mask is set in Termina, an alternate version of the usual series setting of Hyrule, where the Skull Kid has stolen Majora's Mask, a powerful ancient artifact. Under its influence, the Skull Kid causes the land's moon to slowly fall towards Termina, where it crashes after three days. The protagonist Link repeatedly travels back in time to the beginning of the three days to find a way to stop the moon from destroying the world.
Creepypastas are horror-related legends or images that have been copy-and-pasted around the Internet. These Internet entries are often brief, user generated ghost or alien stories intended to scare readers. They include gruesome tales of murder, suicide, and otherworldly occurrences. According to Time magazine, the genre had its peak audience in 2010 when it was covered by The New York Times.
In the mainstream media, creepypastas relating to the fictitious Slender Man character came to public attention after the 2014 "Slender Man stabbing", in which a twelve-year-old girl from Waukesha, WI was stabbed by two of her friends; the perpetrators claimed they "wanted to prove the [Slender Man] skeptics" wrong. After the murder attempt, some creepypasta website administrators made statements reminding readers of the "line between fiction and reality".
Other notable creepypasta characters and stories include Jeff the Killer, Ted the Caver, and Psychosis. In October 2014, a book called Creepypasta: Spökhistorier från Internet (Creepypasta: Ghost Stories from the Internet) was published in Sweden. In May 2015, Machinima announced plans for a live action web series curated by Clive Barker, titled Clive Barker's Creepy Pasta.
Drowning is defined as respiratory impairment from being in or under a liquid. It is further classified by outcome into: death, ongoing health problems and no ongoing health problems. Using the term near drowning to refer to those who survive is no longer recommended. It occurs more frequently in males and the young.
Drowning itself is quick and silent, although it may be preceded by distress which is more visible. A person drowning is unable to shout or call for help, or seek attention, as they cannot obtain enough air. The instinctive drowning response is the final set of autonomic reactions in the 20 – 60 seconds before sinking underwater, and to the untrained eye can look similar to calm safe behavior.Lifeguards and other persons trained in rescue learn to recognize drowning people by watching for these movements.
Unintentional drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury resulting in death worldwide. In 2013 it was estimated to have resulted in 368,000 deaths down from 545,000 deaths in 1990. Of these deaths 82,000 occurred in children less than five years old. It accounts for 7% of all injury related deaths (excluding those due to natural disasters), with 96% of these deaths occurring in low-income and middle-income countries. In many countries, drowning is one of the leading causes of death for children under 12 years old. For example, in the United States, it is the second leading cause of death (after motor vehicle crashes) in children 12 and younger. The rate of drowning in populations around the world varies widely according to their access to water, the climate and the national swimming culture.
Ben is frequently used as a shortened version of the given name Benjamin (as well as Benedict, Bengt, Bennett, Benoit, Benvolio, or Ebenezer, among other names). It is also used as a given name in its own right.
Ben (in Hebrew: בֶּן, Son of) forms part of surnames, e.g. Abraham ben Abraham (Hebrew: אברהם בן אברהם). Bar-, "son of" in Aramaic, is also seen, e.g. Simon bar Kokhba (Hebrew: שמעון בר כוכבא). The Arabic "Bin" (بن) or "Ibn" (ابن), also meaning "son of" is an obvious cognate.
A mask is an object normally worn on the face, typically for protection, disguise, performance, or entertainment. Masks have been used since antiquity for both ceremonial and practical purposes. They are usually worn on the face, although they may also be positioned for effect elsewhere on the wearer's body. In parts of Australia, giant totem masks cover the body, whilst Inuit women use finger masks during storytelling and dancing.
The word "mask" appeared in English in the 1530s, from Middle French masque "covering to hide or guard the face", derived in turn from Italian maschera, from Medieval Latin masca "mask, specter, nightmare". This word is of uncertain origin, perhaps from Arabic maskharah مَسْخَرَۃٌ "buffoon", from the verb sakhira "to ridicule". However, it may also come from Provençal mascarar "to black (the face)" (or the related Catalan mascarar, Old French mascurer). This in turn is of uncertain origin — perhaps from a Germanic source akin to English "mesh", but perhaps from mask- "black", a borrowing from a pre-Indo-European language. One German author claims the word "mask" is originally derived from the Spanish más que la cara (literally, "more than the face" or "added face"), which evolved to "máscara", while the Arabic "maskharat" - referring to the buffoonery which is possible only by disguising the face - would be based on these Spanish roots. Other related forms are Hebrew masecha= "mask"; Arabic maskhara مَسْخَرَ = "he ridiculed, he mocked", masakha مَسَخَ = "he transfomed" (transitive).
Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask houses an infamous creepypasta known as "Ben Drowned", where a soul known as "Ben" causes extremely creepy glitches, and the statue that represents Ben continuously follows Link around. The whole thing's just plain creepy, especially the reversed Song of Healing which plays a couple of times during the creepypasta. This video holds pure footage of the whole thing; credit to "Jadusable". P.S. This whole rumor is fake.
[Please read the video description before watching] Read the original creepypasta here: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/BEN_Drowned This "Full Version" combines the original creepypasta reading, the five uploaded videos and a custom made script to form one big video. A few things are VERY important to note in this video: - The majority of the story is taken and read throughout the video. The first 8 minutes consists of me reading the story. If you want to skip to the footage, make sure to click the annotation that appears - From the first video, the video footage will do the work for me. Please listen carefully and don't be afraid to ask questions if things confuse you - I was forced to slow things down or cut either the video or the audio to ensure that my reading goes in line with t...

It's been a few years since Ben Rider was murdered. Now bound to his Majora's Mask cartridge only with the freedom to explore his N64's memory, BEN has managed to master his new powers with the aid of his father-figure, the Happy Mask Salesman.
