Empties

Empties (Czech: Vratné lahve) is a 2007 film directed by Jan Svěrák and written by his father Zdeněk Svěrák, who also stars in the film. It was released first in the Czech Republic in March 2007. The film is a comedy from the same team which made Kolya.

Plot

Josef Tkaloun is a teacher at a high school in Prague who cannot control his anger when his pupils misbehave in his poetry class. He quits his job and despite his wife urging him to retire, becomes a cycle courier. After an inevitable accident, he still refuses to stay at home and takes a job in the local Žižkov supermarket. He works behind a counter, recycling glass beer bottles. He begins to flirt with the customers and matchmake both for an old friend and for the man he works with. His own flirtations (and sexually charged dreams) almost get him into trouble with his wife, so he resolves to reignite the passion in his marriage by celebrating his wedding anniversary with a hot air balloon ride. The scary balloon ride, ending in crash, revitalizes the relationship.

Post-office box

A post-office box or post office box (commonly referred to as a PO box or a postal box) is a uniquely addressable lockable box located on the premises of a post office station.

In many regions, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, there is no 'door to door' delivery of mail. For example, should one post mail to a street address in Namibia, it will be returned to sender as undeliverable. Consequently, renting a PO box has traditionally been the only way to receive mail in such countries, although some, like Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, do have mail home delivery.

Generally, post office boxes are rented from the post office either by individuals or by businesses on a basis ranging from monthly to annual, and the cost of rent varies depending on the box size. Central business district (CBD) PO boxes are usually more expensive than rural PO boxes.

In the United States, the rental rate used to be uniform across the country. Now, however, a postal facility can be in any of seven fee groups by location; in addition, certain customers qualify for free box rental.

Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani (Italian pronunciation: [ˈdʒordʒo arˈma�?ni]; born 11 July 1934) is an Italian fashion designer, particularly noted for his menswear. He is known today for his clean, tailored lines. He formed his company, Armani, in 1975, and by 2001 was acclaimed as the most successful designer that Italy has produced, with an annual turnover of $1.6 billion and a personal fortune of $8.5 billion as of 2013. He is credited with pioneering red-carpet fashion.

Early years

Armani was born in the northern Italian town of Piacenza, where he was raised with older brother Sergio and younger sister Rosanna by his mother Maria Raimondi and father Ugo Armani, who was of Armenian-Italian descent. Whilst at secondary school at the Liceo Scientifico Respighi in Piacenza, Armani aspired to a career in medicine, particularly after reading A. J. Cronin's The Citadel. He enrolled in the Department of Medicine at the University of Milan, but after three years, in 1953, he left and joined the army. Due to his medical background, he was assigned to the Military Hospital in Verona, where he would attend shows at the Arena. He eventually decided to look for a different career path.

PLEASE ALLOW VIDEO TO FULLY LOAD BEFORE PLAYING. http://www.emptybucketstudios.com Ever since I first set foot in Ray's studio a few years ago, I have wanted to make this video. A blacksmith's shop is undoubtedly a great visual playground for a filmmaker, but Ray himself is really the story here. In addition to his devastatingly icy-blue eyes, his unbridled passion for creating art from fire and metal is apparent from the moment he engages you in conversation. Ray is small in physical stature - roughly 120 pounds dripping wet - but he manages to bend and shape large pieces of heavy metal by virtue of talent, experience, and at times, sheer will. He may be quick to dismiss the complexity or difficulty of what he does, but don't let him fool you; his finished pieces are the monumental accomplishments of a modest man. When we sat down and thought about how we wanted to approach creating Ray's artist profile film, one of the most important considerations for us was to "do justice" to his work and his passion. We knew we had to create something that at least matched his attention to detail and commitment to making beautiful, emotive work. We wanted to make sure that someone clear across the country (or clear across the world) could fully appreciate Ray's craft by virtue of ours. To that end, we elected to produce Ray's story with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Everything was shot in 2.5k raw and meticulously color graded in Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe After Effects CS6. It required careful planning, careful shooting, and a commitment to go through a complex post-production process. In short, it required from us everything that Ray's work requires of him.
