Renié Conley (31 July 1901 - 12 June 1992) was a prominent Hollywood costume designer.
For over three decades, Renié was noted for clothing the stars in subtle, elegant outfits, as can be seen in the eponymous costumes Ginger Rogers wore as the glamorous all-American working girl in Kitty Foyle (1940). She got her start designing theatre sets and then working as a sketch artist for Paramount Pictures. In 1937, she became a costume designer for RKO Pictures. She remained with the studio, attiring its biggest stars until the 1950s when she started freelancing. In addition to films, Renié's work can also be seen on such television series as Haywire (1990 - 1991). In 1963, Renié's costumes for the epic Cleopatra earned her an Oscar (she received four other nominations). For a while, she also designed costumes for 'Shipstead & Johnson's Ice Follies'.
She also designed the costumes for the 1942 film A Date with the Falcon and the 1943 The Falcon and the Co-eds.
Conley was an adherent of the Church of Christ, Scientist who contended that her faith enabled her to overcome worldly ambition, putting her work on an unselfish and solid foundation.
Henriette Renié (18 September 1875 – 1 March 1956) was a French harpist and composer, a deeply religious woman who lived in poverty for much of her life, but who was independent and successful in a time when fame was socially unacceptable for women. She codified a method for harp which is widely used.
Before the age of five, Henriette played piano, but at five, she saw a concert featuring Alphonse Hasselmans, and declared "That man is going to be my harp teacher." She was not allowed to play harp until she was eight, and then her feet did not reach the pedals. She would hop off her bench to change them and then hop up and continue playing; her father eventually developed pedal extensions for her.
Hasselmans had begun teaching at the Paris Conservatoire, and they met half-way to have lessons at Sebastian Érard's workshop. In 1885, she became a regular student at the Conservatoire. At ten, she won a second prize in harp performance (the committee had actually voted to give her first prize, but the director had decided it was inappropriate), and at eleven, she won the Premier Prix.
Wilhelmina Maria "Willy" Lust (later Postma, born 19 June 1932) is a retired Dutch track-and-field athlete. She won a silver medal in the long jump at the 1950 European Athletics Championships. Two years later she competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics, in the 80 m hurdles, long jump and 4×100 m relay; she finished in fifth place in the long jump and in sixth place in the relay. She was also successful in the pentathlon, holding national records and winning two national titles in 1950 and 1951. In 1954, together with her husband Jan Postma she immigrated to Australia and retired from competitions. She has a daughter, Ingrid Postma.

Henriette Renié (1875-1956): Danse d' autrefois from Feuillets D'Album Willy Postma, harp "Do you love the harp?" Henriette Renié asked all her new students this question. It was fundamental to her vocation. Renié already loved the harp by the age of five, but because she was so small, had to wait until she was eight (1883) to have her first harp lesson. Alphonse Hasselmans, the remarkable Belgian harpist, placed Renié's hands on a harp for the first time. It was certainly a prestigious instrument, but also one whose resources and repertoire at tht time were very limited. Hasselmans, who had recently been appointed professor of harp at the Paris Conservatory, introduced his sensational pupil, "the petite Renié", in the annual concours in 1887 when she was just 11. when will i learn to be alone
how can i learn to let go of you
everyone can see me
but i can't see myself
have you seen the key that
leads to me
'cause i need to find myself
i'm running out
i'm running out of time
to find myself
why do i suck at putting smiles on their faces
why am i only funny to myself
how come no one understands what i say
but i thought i didn't know myself
i hate everyone
only on certain days
i think you're all
annoyed by me
so i'll leave, and find myself
