Zero's breakthrough for 2016 is the addition of the new patent-pending IPM (Internal Permanent Magnet) motor, which is claimed to produce less heat and better manage the heat it does produce. What that means to you and me is sustained performance for a longer period of time, and a less dramatic drop-off in power compared to the old surface-mount motor once thermal cutback sets in. Motorcycle.com's Troy Siahaan got a chance to try the Zero FXS at Adams Motorsport Park on a 100-degree day to put that claim to the test in this extreme environment.

What that means to you and me is sustained performance for a longer period of time, and a less dramatic drop-off in power compared to the old surface-mount motor once thermal cutback sets in. Motorcycle.com's Troy Siahaan got a chance to try the Zero FXS at Adams Motorsport Park on a 100-degree day to put that claim to the test in this extreme environment.
