The summer of 1980 saw the release of this hugely popular coming of age comic drama "Little Darlings'. The film showcased the talents of Academy Award Winning actress Tatum O'Neal ("Paper Moon") and inparticular Kristy McNichol (of television's "Family"), who turns in a particularly remarkable performance. Two girls one rich Ferris Whitney (Tatum O'Neal), and the other streetwise Aggel Bright (Kristy McNichol), strike a bet while away at summer camp. Whoever loses their virginity first......wins $100.00. Matt Dillon (in his second big screen role), plays McNichol's love interest. Armand Assante plays a counselor and the target of O'Neal's. Music rights are most likely the culprit in the failure of this rare film's release on DVD. It remains up in the air as to if and when this will ever be released. Look for a very young Cynthia Nixon from "Sex in the City" as "Sunshine" the teenage hippie with the long blonde hair. I hope you enjoy this tribute to "Little Darlings".

The first film to be released in the decade of the 1980's was the highly controversial "Windows". It starred Talia Shire (of "Rocky" and "The Godfather" fame) and Elizabeth Ashley. Directed by Gordon Willis; the Academy Award winning cinematographer of "The Godfather", the film promised to be an interesting one. Surrounded by controversy due to the portrayal of the lesbian character in the film, and also for the violence at the beginning (during the rape scene), the film garnered some of the worst reviews in the history of cinema. It's actually a pretty good, though somewhat disturbing thriller with excellent shots of New York and superb cinematography.

Mini Biography
A colossus among film lyricists, Sahir Ludhianvi was slightly different from his contemporaries. A man unable to praise Khuda (God), Husn (beauty) and/or Jaam (wine), his pen was at its best pouring out bitter but sensitive lyrics over the declining values of society, the senselessness of war and politics, and the domination of materialism over love. Whenever he wrote any love songs, they were tinged with sorrow, due to the realization that there were other, starker concepts more important than love. He could be called the underdog's bard; close to his heart were the soldier gone to fight someone's war, the woman forced to sell her body, the family living on the street and other victims of society.
Born in March 8 1921 as Abdul Hayee, Sahir was the only son of a zamindar. The separation of his parents and the event of partition caused him to shuttle between India and Pakistan...and also brought him face to face with the struggles of life. He made a living as a journalist and editor in Pakistan, but an arrest warrant from the Pakistani government of the day after publishing some unflattering articles caused him to flee to Bombay in 1949, where he began to write film songs.
Sahir made his debut in film lyrics with Naujawan (1951). His first major break came the same year when he wrote the lyrics for S.D. Burman's music in Baazi (1951). The movie, directed by Guru Dutt, and its music was a success and together S.D. Burman and Sahir went on to create some of their work in Jaal (1952), House Number 44 (1955), Munimji (1955) and the immortal classic Pyaasa (1957). And although they parted ways after Pyaasa (), Sahir was now a stalwart in Bollywood and during the 1960s and 1970s he wrote outstanding lyrics for films like Hum Dono (1961) and Taj Mahal (1963). However, he mostly composed lyrics for the Chopra brothers, before and after they separated, and some of his best work was in Kabhi Kabhi (1979), which went on to break all records.
He died in 1980 of a heart attack, in the midst of a card game. It was ironically appropriate; while the poet's heart bled for others, he never paid enough attention to his own life, and had a card-player nonchalance about life and death. He will be remembered along with Kaifi Azmi, as the poet who brought Urdu literature to Indian motion pictures.

Tribute is a 1980 Canadian comedy film directed by Bob Clark and based on the play of the same name by Bernard Slade.
It was entered into the 31st Berlin International Film Festival where Jack Lemmon won the Silver Bear for Best Actor. Lemmon was also nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for his performance. He won the Canadian Genie Award for Best Performance by a Foreign Actor.

Jackie Chan - Tribute The Young Master
The Young Master (Chinese: 師弟出馬) is a 1980 Hong Kong martial arts action film directed by and starring Jackie Chan as Dragon. The film is notable for being the first that Jackie Chan worked on for Golden Harvest, and despite being his second film as director (his first was The Fearless Hyena), this is often incorrectly credited as his directorial debut. It was co-written by Chan and King Sang Tang and produced by Raymond Chow and Leonard Ho. As is common with Jackie Chan's films, the fight scenes involve the use of many different weapons including poles, a rope, fans, benches and swords. The first film to be released in the decade of the 1980's was the highly controversial "Windows". It starred Talia Shire (of "Rocky" and "The Godfather" fame) and Elizabeth Ashley. Directed by Gordon Willis; the Academy Award winning cinematographer of "The Godfather", the film promised to be an interesting one. Surrounded by controversy due to the portrayal of the lesbian character in the film, and also for the violence at the beginning (during the rape scene), the film garnered some of the worst reviews in the history of cinema. It's actually a pretty good, though somewhat disturbing thriller with excellent shots of New York and superb cinematography.

A colossus among film lyricists, Sahir Ludhianvi was slightly different from his contemporaries. A man unable to praise Khuda (God), Husn (beauty) and/or Jaam (wine), his pen was at its best pouring out bitter but sensitive lyrics over the declining values of society, the senselessness of war and politics, and the domination of materialism over love. Whenever he wrote any love songs, they were tinged with sorrow, due to the realization that there were other, starker concepts more important than love. He could be called the underdog's bard; close to his heart were the soldier gone to fight someone's war, the woman forced to sell her body, the family living on the street and other victims of society.
Born in March 8 1921 as Abdul Hayee, Sahir was the only son of a zamindar. The separation of his parents and the event of partition caused him to shuttle between India and Pakistan...and also brought him face to face with the struggles of life. He made a living as a journalist and editor in Pakistan, but an arrest warrant from the Pakistani government of the day after publishing some unflattering articles caused him to flee to Bombay in 1949, where he began to write film songs.
Sahir made his debut in film lyrics with Naujawan (1951). His first major break came the same year when he wrote the lyrics for S.D. Burman's music in Baazi (1951). The movie, directed by Guru Dutt, and its music was a success and together S.D. Burman and Sahir went on to create some of their work in Jaal (1952), House Number 44 (1955), Munimji (1955) and the immortal classic Pyaasa (1957). And although they parted ways after Pyaasa (), Sahir was now a stalwart in Bollywood and during the 1960s and 1970s he wrote outstanding lyrics for films like Hum Dono (1961) and Taj Mahal (1963). However, he mostly composed lyrics for the Chopra brothers, before and after they separated, and some of his best work was in Kabhi Kabhi (1979), which went on to break all records.
He died in 1980 of a heart attack, in the midst of a card game. It was ironically appropriate; while the poet's heart bled for others, he never paid enough attention to his own life, and had a card-player nonchalance about life and death. He will be remembered along with Kaifi Azmi, as the poet who brought Urdu literature to Indian motion pictures.

The Indian Jam project is a collaborative platform where Indian Classical and Western Musicians come together and perform Indian adaptations of western theme music of famous tv series/movies .
The project was founded by young Producer/Composer Tushar Lall, who is the brains behind arranging and composing the Indianised adaptations, often by bombing them with his own compositions. The arrangements are performed with him and some amazing musicians - Prasad Rahane (Sitar), Samay Lalwani (Tabla), Sri Sandeep Mishra (Sarangi) , Prathamesh Salunke (Flute), Vivaan Kapoor (Percussions) and many more. The first video was a cover of the Game of Thrones theme song which got an overwhelming response. Musically it was sound, however, there was a need to step-up the visuals. Tuhin and Amitesh Mukherjee stepped in and ramped up the visuals of the covers and are still behind most of the amazing videos !
Tushar is attempting to knit classical Indian tones into the script of western music to showcase the beauty of Indian Music. It is a one of a kind concept where fusion of Indo-western styles of music produces a concoction which is deeply emotive as well as thought-provoking showing that music transcends boundaries and has no language.
This overwhelming support and love from people makes IJP do what they're doing!

Set in a "mythic science fiction" world, the game features a massively-multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games.
Players take on the role of a Guardian, defenders of Earth's last safe city, as they wield a power called Light to protect the city from different alien races. The Guardians are tasked with reviving a celestial being called the Traveler, while journeying to different planets to investigate and destroy the alien threats before humanity is completely wiped out. Since launch, Bungie has released two expansion packs furthering the story and adding new content: The Dark Below in December 2014 and House of Wolves in May 2015, with a third, The Taken King, set to release in September 2015, which will mark the beginning of year two of Destiny.
Destiny 's style has been described as a first-person shooter that incorporates role-playing and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) elements, but Bungie has avoided defining Destiny as a traditional MMO game. Instead, the game has been referred to as a "shared-world shooter," as it lacks many of the characteristics of a traditional MMO game. For instance, rather than players being able to communicate with all other players in the game or on a particular server—as is the case in many conventional MMO games—Destiny includes on-the-fly matchmaking that allows players to communicate only with other players with whom they are "matched" by the game. Time-limited events and modes are also occasionally added or featured in-game.
