Dead deer found with tree branch up its rear and Mcdonald’s bag on its head

The RSPCA is investigating after a dead deer was found with a tree branch up its rear and a paper bag wrapped around its head. The deer, who was found by a passerby on a cycle path in Slough, was strewn across the pavement in its own pool of blood. Shouvik Chatterjee, who made the gruesome discovery, had been out walking along Majors Farm Road in Datchet when he stumbled upon the animal last Thursday. The 42-year-old immediately called the RSPCA and was told to stay with the animal. He said: ‘I thought it was somebody’s dog just relaxing there but it was very disturbing and disgusting. It did shake me up. ‘The poor animal, the face was covered with a McDonalds paper bag, it was completely covered and there were flies all over it. ‘The worse part of it was it looked like somebody had forced a tree branch up the backside. That was really gross. ‘It was very disturbing, that was why I did not share the picture, even to my wife. It was very sadistic. Why would you do that to an animal?’ After waiting with the animal, the RSPCA rang Mr Chatterjee and told him it could not be collected until the next day as there was no one available. It’s not the first time a passerby has come across such a gruesome killing. An eight-year-old, also from Slough, was left traumatised when she found the body of a dog the day before just over a mile away from where the deer was discovered. The dog was found with a rock forced into its mouth and a concrete slab dropped on it. Thames Valley Police are investigating the incidents and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. An RSPCA spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘We were contacted on 4 October about a dead dog and 6 October about a dead deer that were found in the Majors Farm Road area. ‘From the information provided to us so far, this sounds like a very distressing sight and we have launched an investigation into this. ‘We would urge anyone with information to contact us on our cruelty and advice line on 0300 1234 999.’ | Metro News
