Can You Upload The Same Video To Other Channels - Ask David
0:00 In this edition of Ask
David I am going to reveal the answer to whether you can upload your videos to other channels, whether they are your own or someone else’s. Now, we have a question from
Photoshop Tutorial (Hindi) and they ask “
Can I upload same videos on my others channel?”
0:44 Now, I am assuming you mean other channels. So, let’s go through what you can do when you want to upload videos to your other channels. Now, the answer to this is a
Yes and No answer. Firstly , No, you can’t upload your videos if they are the exact same. So, if they have the exact same music background on there, the exact same length, the exact same video itself.
1:11 You can’t take the exact same video and upload it to another channel. Now, you can answer this to
Yes if you have changed the video in some way. If you have one language on one video, say you have
English on one video, and then you have a different language, say
French or
Spanish, on another video, but the exact same video picture, then yes you can upload it to another channel.
1:35 In fact, you can upload it to the same channel and just put it on a different playlist and then a different section on your channel. Now, if you change the music that is playing in the background of your video, that is also a
difference that will make it unique and you can upload that to another channel, also.
1:50 Another thing you can also do is if you have an end-slate at the end of the video, if you put on say another 5 – 10 seconds, or something like that, that will also make it unique as well.
2:02 It will differentiate it enough to be able to upload it to another channel so it doesn’t get a copyright or duplicate strike against that particular video. So, the rule is, if you are able to change the video in some way, shape or form that you have a different music on the background, that you have a different edit on it, that it is of a different length or all of those, then yes you can upload your video to another channel or, as I said, to the same channel.
2:30 But if you take the exact same video and upload that to the channel, no you will actually get a duplicate content strike and then they will tell you to delete that particular video because you are in violation of content ID.
2:45 Make those quick changes to your video and you will be
OK. So, that’s what you can do if you want to upload the same video to another channel, whether it is your own or someone else’s.
