What I think:
Really, REALLY fun platformer and quite cute and well-designed, too.
Just the slight flickering can get annoying sometimes.
Also, this is a PAL game! If you play it on a NTSC machine it becomes unplayable, as the framerate becomes quite choppy and the flickering even more annoying.

Pac-Man can turn the tables on his pursuers by eating of the four Energizers located within the maze. During this time, the ghosts turn blue, and Pac-Man can eat them for bonus points. This only lasts for a limited amount of time, as the ghost's eyes float back to their center box, and regenerate to chase after Pac-Man again.
Survive a few rounds of gameplay, and be treated to humorous intermissions between Pac-Man and the ghosts.
What I think:
Despite being quite repetitive, this is certainly a game that defines "classic".
It is one of those games that seem to never age.

Neutralization of the weaponry requires finding eight reservoirs with liquid hydrogen and placing them in a special reactor. The task was entrusted to the latest generation cyborg called Technus, equipped with a laser blaster and a limited ability of controlled jumping. The numerous enemies must be eliminated or avoided, contact with them or with rotating golden stars takes some energy. The energy and ammo may be supplemented by collecting special power ups.
What I think:
Amazing music and it looks good....the gameplay, however, is only ... okay.
The game gets repetitive after a while, which has to do with the fact that the enemies, terrain, and background repeat themselves all over again.
By the way, this game was supposed to be a port of Turrican.

Donkey Kong is a platform-action game that has Mario scale four different industrial themed levels (construction zone, cement factory, an elevator-themed level, and removing rivets from girders) in an attempt to save the damsel in distress, Pauline, from the big ape before the timer runs out. Once the rivets are removed from the final level, Donkey Kong falls, and the two lovers are reunited. From there, the levels start over at a higher difficulty.
Along the way, Mario must dodge a constant stream of barrels, "living" fireballs, and spring-weights. Although not as powerful as in other future games, Mario can find a hammer which allows him to destroy the barrels and fireballs for a limited amount of time. Additionally, Mario can also find Pauline's hat, purse and umbrella for additional bonus points.
Donkey Kong is also notable for being one of the first complete narratives in video game form, told through simplistic cut scenes that advance the story. It should also be noted that in versions of the game for early 1980's consoles, Donkey Kong only used 2-3 of the original levels, with the cement factory usually omitted.
What I think:
REALLY fun version, that has all levels form the Arcade! (But as this is solely a gameplay video and not a friggin' walkthrough I only show the first 2, sorry :3 )

Commonly considered the earliest progenitor of first-person shooters (FPS), Battlezone is a 3D tank game initially released in the arcades, and later converted officially to many systems. Earth has been invaded, and you and your tank lead the defensive effort. You drive around the battlefield from a first-person view, targeting and firing at tanks, planes and UFOs. You have a radar to help you see where the enemies are in direction and distance. Objects can be used as strategic cover. Controls simulate the tracks of a tank realistically, so the direction and speed settings are varied - combining forward right and backward left movements (as you can on keyboard versions) sees you change direction more quickly.

Game description:
After escaping the Timelords you begin a fight for survival on the cave world of Zarkifir. This is where the Timelords have established their base from which they intend to dominate this planetary system. You must navigate the caves and undermine their forces!
In this game the player controls a zeppelin traveling through a cave system. The goal is to survive the cave defenses, acquire a TNT bomb, and unlock access to the chamber where the bomb can be detonated. The zeppelin is capable of firing in all directions. The player has limited ability to control the advancement through the caves, as the screen constantly scrolls with directions shifting according to the cave layout.
The caves have many defenses, from laser walls to falling rocks. Most of these can be disabled by shooting switches on the cave walls. In order to access the room where the bomb can be detonated, the player has to find a hamburger and use it to bribe the hamburger creature that blocks the entrance.
The two-player mode has one player controlling the zeppelin movement, while the second player controls the guns.
What I think:
This is a really fun game. However, I screwed up a little and I am sorry for that. You have to get the hamburger first and then the TNT...I mixed those things up. Oh well, I got over 10000 points and I finished level 7 (which nobody else on YT did as far as I could see).

You can carry a gun to take care of the bugs, but this needs recharging frequently, and the location of the munitions store must be determined.
When the bugs break part of the fence, you need to replace it to stop lots more coming through. This can be done more quickly by reducing the compound size, which causes the trade-off loss of growing room.

Game description:
This is a battle on three fronts. You are the captain of the ship Legacy. Your ultimate goal is to destroy the Warmongers' missile bases but you must also protect your cities.
You begin the game in command mode. You select your other modes with the joystick. Up for navigation, down for torpedo, left for sea-to-air and right for sea-to-land.
Navigation
In navigation mode, you will see an overhead map of the world. You will note that there is a black dot in a black circle. This is you and the circle represents your effective range. You move the circle about the screen to target ships or known missile bases or to refuel at a city. You use fuel only when you are in navigation mode. When you are within range, or if an enemy ships comes within your range, press the space bar to return to the command mode then change to the desired mode.
Torpedo
If you are within range of an enemy ship, switch to torpedo mode. In this mode, you will use the scanner at the bottom to line up your target. Move out of line to avoid a direct hit. Beware of war ship as they will chase you and have the most firepower. Hunter ships will also chase you. While their firepower is not as high as war ships, it is still fairly good. Intelligence ships have the weakest firepower and will not chase you. They can be found on the right side of the screen. If one is destroyed and there are any hidden missile bases, there is a eighty percent chance a hidden base will be revealed.
Sea-to-land
If you want to destroy a missile base or refuel, enter sea-to-land mode. To refuel, get near a city then enter this mode. When you are in sea-to-land mode, you will know you are within range if you see "Dock for refueling" on the screen. You then place the cross hairs on the base of the city and wait for refueling to complete, unless you or a city are under attack. Do not use the fire button to exit or you will fire on your city. To destroy a missile base, position your cross hairs using the scanner on the screen until you are on a missile launcher then fire. Be advised that when you fire on a missile base, they will shoot missiles at a city.
Sea-to-air
If a city is under attach, switch to this mode. You will control a weapons satellite. Use you joystick, or the trak-ball , if you plugged one into port 2, to aim at an incoming missile and press fire to blast it. If it gets past you but has not reached your city, you get a "Refocusing" message and the view switches to a short range view where you will get one more try.
Be warned that ships can attack you no matter what mode you are in. On the easiest level, there are no hidden bases nor do you use fuel.
What I think:

Really nice game. I like the various screens. :)

A top-down vertically scrolling shoot 'em up with a World War 2 feel resembling 1942. You pilot your aeroplane through 9 levels of forests, fields and oceans. You'll be facing hordes of enemy planes and their bullets, contact with which costs you one of your 3 lives. You can dart slightly off the screen to dodge bullets, similarly to SWIV. A number of power-ups are available, including a drone weapon which will shoot from the opposite position as you (for example, if you're 75% of the way across the screen, it will be 25% of the way across).
What I think:
Wow, I am wondering if Capcom sued Red Rat Software for this game? I mean it is SOOOOOOOOOO obvious that this a 1942 clone. o_O
Anyways, this is a clone done right. It is quite fun and quite challengingly hard.

Crownland is a sidescrolling platformer, in which you can defeat enemies by jumping on them and also collect stars. Some enemies will even drop stars after defeating them.
But be warned! Not all enemies can be defeated!
You win a level by reaching the end of it.
