Semitic languages like Hebrew and Arabic evolved a unique way to write vowels... with consonants! See how in this episode of Thoth's Pill: an Animated History of Writing.
You're back in the ancient Middle East, where seemingly everyone's been passing around the Phoenician consonant alphabet. There's a problem with this abjad - sometimes those missing vowels cause issues. Instead of inventing vowels (like the Greeks did in the last episode), Semitic speakers use some of their consonants for vowels, too! This is the birth of "matres lectionis".
But that's not nearly enough for pickier scribes. See bickering scribes come up with a more detailed system, a system of vowel marks - dots and dashes surrounding consonants. These vowel pointers (harakat in Arabic, niqqud in Hebrew) explicitly indicate which consonants are followed by which vowels.

"The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today released the results of an unprecedented worldwide survey of anti-Semitic attitudes. The ADL Global 100: An Index of Anti-Semitism surveyed 53,100 adults in 102 countries and territories in an effort to establish, for the first time, a comprehensive data-based research survey of the level and intensity of anti-Jewish sentiment across the world.
The survey found that anti-Semitic attitudes are persistent and pervasive around the world. More than one-in-four adults, 26 percent of those surveyed, are deeply infected with anti-Semitic attitudes. This figure represents an estimated 1.09 billion people around the world."

Semitic people
In linguistics and ethnology, was first used to refer to a language family of largely Middle Eastern origin, now called the Semitic languages. This family includes the ancient and modern forms of Akkadian, Amharic, Arabic, Aramaic, Ge'ez, Hebrew, Maltese, Phoenician, Tigre and Tigrinya among others.

Etymology
The name Semite/Semitic comes from the Semitic root Sama or Sam, meaning " High" or "Risen", Semite or Semitic means " Sons of the Lord " Or " Sons of Heaven" Also meaning " Noble People ".

In the Bible The name Semite comes from Shem, the eldest of the three sons of Noah. In the Greek and Latin versions of the Bible, Shem becomes Sem, since neither Greek nor Latin has any way of representing the initial sound of the Hebrew name.
The Bible tells us that everyone on earth was drowned except for Noah and his family and that all mankind are descended from his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The lines of descent from the three of them, described in the tenth chapter of Genesis, represent a kind of mythologized ethnology, enumerating the peoples of antiquity whose names were known at the time when this chapter was written, and setting forth the relationships between them.

NOSE: Profile: Straight Tip: Straight (Not downward-pointed or upward-pointed)
Face: Oval
Jaws: Not square
Cheekbones: Not high
Skin: Olive white (not as white as in the Nordic race and easily tans due to the very hot climate most Arabs live in, it was noted by Coon that those Arabs who work in offices do have a lighter skin because they do not tan under the sun)
Lips: Thin to medium (it was also noted by the anthropomtric measures taken by the anthropologists that most of them tend to have thin lips over those who have medium and full sized lips)
In general Arabs still the same they were thousands of years ago and they still have their main and original phenotype that is Mediterranean.

Some of these languages have synonyms for some body parts (e.g. Akkadian has also got /qaqqadu/ for /rēšu/). But I preferred to use cognates.
For Egyptian I have chosen my own phonetic transcription rather than the traditional transliteration. The body parts mentioned here are written like this in the traditional transliteration:
tp, jrt, msḏr, šrt, r, nḏḥt, ns, šnbt, ḥ3tj, ẖt, gb3, ḏrt, ḏbˤ, wˤrt, rd
Here I preferred using synonyms that survived in Coptic (e.g. "ḥ3tj" instead of "jb")
Also in Coptic i preferred synonyms that were common in Middle Egyptian (e.g. "eia" instead of "bal"). The word for breast also has an Egyptian etymology (though this combination is not attested): "mstj ḥ3tj", literally "basket of the heart".
In Sumerian, some words use the same sign. So it's not a mistake that nose, mouth and tooth (kir, kag and zu) are written the same.
In the Sumerian transcription I've left the numbers and accents away (just "a" instrad of "á").

The body parts mentioned here are written like this in the traditional transliteration: tp, jrt, msḏr, šrt, r, nḏḥt, ns, šnbt, ḥ3tj, ẖt, gb3, ḏrt, ḏbˤ, wˤrt, rd Here I preferred using synonyms that survived in Coptic (e.g. "ḥ3tj" instead of "jb") Also in Coptic i preferred synonyms that were common in Middle Egyptian (e.g. "eia" instead of "bal"). The word for breast also has an Egyptian etymology (though this combination is not attested): "mstj ḥ3tj", literally "basket of the heart". In Sumerian, some words use the same sign. So it's not a mistake that nose, mouth and tooth (kir, kag and zu) are written the same. In the Sumerian transcription I've left the numbers and accents away (just "a" instrad of "á"). -

Basic Semitic Vocabulary - Body Parts
Hints: Some of these languages have synonyms for some body parts (e.g. Akkadian has also got /qaqqadu/ for /rēšu/). But I preferred to use cognates. For Egyptian I have chosen my own phonetic transcription rather than the traditional transliteration. English is a Semitic Language
A while back, Vsauce did a video with a bright yellow thumbnail titled "this is not yellow." His point was that the pixels on a screen only ever actually produce red, green and blue light, and that there were no beams of light coming from that thumbnail that would have, alone, been perceived as "yellow." He was wrong, of course, in saying that the thumbnail wasn't yellow, but only because he was defining "yellow" differently from how we normally use the word, and he was using that misuse of terminology to teach people about the nature of color. Semitic languages like Hebrew and Arabic evolved a unique way to write vowels... with consonants! See how in this episode of Thoth's Pill: an Animated History of Writing.
You're back in the ancient Middle East, where seemingly everyone's been passing around the Phoenician consonant alphabet. There's a problem with this abjad - sometimes those missing vowels cause issues. Instead of inventing vowels (like the Greeks did in the last episode), Semitic speakers use some of their consonants for vowels, too! This is the birth of "matres lectionis".
But that's not nearly enough for pickier scribes. See bickering scribes come up with a more detailed system, a system of vowel marks - dots and dashes surrounding consonants. These vowel pointers (harakat in Arabic, niqqud in Hebrew) explicitly indicate which consonants are followed by which vowels.

Famous French fashion designer Coco Chanel was, in fact, a Nazi collaborator during the German occupation of France, and helped fund anti-Semitic publications.

Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, was a vocal anti-Semite, and blamed Jewish people for World War I due to their influence in the financial industry.

Winston Churchill, who led Britain through World War II as prime minister, associated Jewish people with Bolshevik conspiracies, and once said they were partly to blame for anti-Semitism.

For Egyptian I have chosen my own phonetic transcription rather than the traditional transliteration. The body parts mentioned here are written like this in the traditional transliteration:
tp, jrt, msḏr, šrt, r, nḏḥt, ns, šnbt, ḥ3tj, ẖt, gb3, ḏrt, ḏbˤ, wˤrt, rd
Here I preferred using synonyms that survived in Coptic (e.g. "ḥ3tj" instead of "jb")
Also in Coptic i preferred synonyms that were common in Middle Egyptian (e.g. "eia" instead of "bal"). The word for breast also has an Egyptian etymology (though this combination is not attested): "mstj ḥ3tj", literally "basket of the heart".
In Sumerian, some words use the same sign. So it's not a mistake that nose, mouth and tooth (kir, kag and zu) are written the same.
In the Sumerian transcription I've left the numbers and accents away (just "a" instrad of "á").

A while back, Vsauce did a video with a bright yellow thumbnail titled "this is not yellow." His point was that the pixels on a screen only ever actually produce red, green and blue light, and that there were no beams of light coming from that thumbnail that would have, alone, been perceived as "yellow." He was wrong, of course, in saying that the thumbnail wasn't yellow, but only because he was defining "yellow" differently from how we normally use the word, and he was using that misuse of terminology to teach people about the nature of color.
This video was my attempt to do something similar. Of course English isn't semitic. I knew that when I made this video. That was the point, I wanted to have a provocative title which was blatantly wrong. For the sake of teaching people about the origin of different scripts, I decided to define a "language" as everything encompassed in the written form of a language including the script (which isn't how we normally use the word, nor should it be) and define language inheritance around the language's script (which REALLY isn't how we normally use those words, nor should it be). At the end I get into why this isn't actually even a viable way to think about it for a number of reasons.
In hindsight, none of this was very clear at all in this video, so I apologize for that. I was still pretty new at making videos when I made this, and a lot of stuff about it really embarrasses me, including how unclear I was about what I ment. However, I've decided to keep it up on my channel for historical purposes. I want people to be able to see all of my work, even the stuff that makes me cringe when I go back and watch it myself.

The graffiti was found in front of a home owned by a Jewish family in Spring Valley. At All Saint's Day the Swedish convert, Sten Sandmark, was to be consecrated as a new deacon at the seminary. It was because Sandmark's conversion from the Protestant Church to The St. Pius X Church had caused a scandal in Sweden. Therefore the Stockholm based TV journalist Ali Fegan was present to capture the event for Swedish Television. After the consecration, Fegan interviewed Monsignore Williamson and others in the palaces chapel.
In the course of the interview the subject of Nazi crimes came up. The footage shows how Williamson paused for a moment and then said that he does not believe that six million Jews were gassed in gas chambers. On the sudden counter question: "So, there werent any gas chambers?", the bishop replied: "I believe, gas chambers never existed, yes."
In this matter, he said, he sides with the "revisionists" who believe that "two to three hundred thousand Jews in Nazi concentration camps died. But not one of them had been killed by gas in a gas chambers."
Then the clergyman talked much about technical impossibilities, the heights of Chimneys and improper doors because they were untight, but that they were still shown today to "the tourists" at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
"If this is not anti-Semitism", the Swedish interviewer dug deeper, "what is it?" Bishop Williamson: "Anti-Semitism can only be bad if it is against the truth. But if something is true, it cant be bad. I am not interested in the word anti-Semitism."
