Growing a Pineapple; Pineapple Plants http://CreativeCookingCornr.com
Want to know how to grow a pineapple; pineapple plants grow inside or outside depending on the weather. All you have to do is tear away some of the leaves to expose the roots a little bit and then place it in good soil. Add plenty of water and watch it start to grow.
Good Morning! This is Matt from Creative Cooking Corner down here in lovely Key West. You can see we have another beautiful day, which is pretty much the norm down here. Today we are not really going to cook anything, but I thought I would show you something I like to do on my spare time I guess goofing off. Um... I'm going to show you how to plant a pineapple.
What we have here is the cut off end - the top of it. What happens after you plant it and what you can expect in the future. So all I'm going to do is I'm going to grab it, and you notice this thing isn't very pretty looking. It is kind of beat up and old looking. Don't worry about that. It will grow. So you're just going to grab this base here and take the top and you're going to twist it off. Throw your parts in the basket there.
Alright, now what you have is all these little leaves right here. So I'm going to start peeling these off. And I can already see there are some roots in here that have started. As you peel back more and more leaves, you'll see more and more roots. You just kind of have to turn it while you are peeling them off. Ah yeah... now we're see some nice roots, so we'll just keep peeling off a few more of these. And you know, really it is up to you have far you want to go. See there's another couple of nice roots. And I think that's about good. I'm not seeing too many more roots underneath there. There's a few.
But you know this would be a nice project you could do with say you had kids, family, daughters, sons, whatever. You can show them how to cut open a pineapple, and then you can bring them outside and do a quick little thing and just watch it grow together. So, but anyways, there it is. You got it. See all the roots are exposed.
Okay? Follow me over here. Now I've got this nice pot of potting soil. I'm going to put it in here and kind of make a soft spot there. Just push it in just like that. Not too far. Then take your water and just water it in. And don't be afraid to pour it right on top of the pineapple like this. That's what they are made for. They are made to catch water and send it down to the roots. So you don't want to put it in too far. But you also need to have it in far enough where it will hold itself up.
And there you have it! So now what you will have in a few weeks, you will end up with something like this. And you can see here where the old leaves are. They just need to be trimmed off and this is all brand new growth coming. And this is probably about a month I would guess. So this started from this. And then it takes a while, but in about a year you can force this thing to fruit by putting some sodium carbonate right down in here. Or you can just sit an apple on there, bag it overnight and the methylene gas coming off the apple will force this thing to fruit. Then you'll start growing a stock out of the middle with a pineapple on it. And I'll see you next time!

After watching an episode of his favorite cartoon, (Sponge Bob Square Pants) a light bulb went off in the L.A. BEAST'S head and he became inspired to take on a new challenge. Sponge Bob Square Pants lives beneath the SEA in a house made out of a PINEAPPLE and the L.A. BEAST thought to himself how hard could it be to eat a pineapple? Skin and all? After only a few bites, the L.A. BEAST was in for a rude awakening and quickly realized that the THE PINEAPPLE CHALLENGE is a lot harder than it looks and a force to be reckoned with. Feel free to post a video of your attempt at the Pineapple challenge.

Pineapple (Ananas comosus), a tropical plant with edible multiple fruit consisting of coalesced berries, named for resemblance to the pine cone, is the most economically important plant in the Bromeliaceae family. Pineapples may be cultivated from a crown cutting of the fruit, possibly flowering in 20–24 months and fruiting in the following six months.
Pineapple may be consumed fresh, canned, juiced, and are found in a wide array of food stuffs – dessert, fruit salad, jam, yogurt, ice cream, candy, and as a complement to meat dishes. In addition to consumption, in the Philippines the pineapple's leaves are used as the source of a textile fiber called piña, and is employed as a component of wall paper and furnishings, amongst other uses.
The word "pineapple" in English was first recorded in 1398, when it was originally used to describe the reproductive organs of conifer trees (now termed pine cones). The term "pine cone" for the reproductive organ of conifer trees was first recorded in 1694. When European explorers discovered this tropical fruit, they called them "pineapples" (first so referenced in 1664 due to resemblance to what is now known as the pine cone).

William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), better known by his stage name Rick Ross (often stylized as RICK RO$$), is an American rapper. He derived his stage name from the drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross, to whom he has no connection. Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don, Ross was also the first artist signed to Diddy's management company Ciroc Entertainment. In early 2012, MTV named Ross as the Hottest MC In The Game.
William Leonard Roberts II was born in Coahoma County, Mississippi. and raised in Carol City, Florida, near Miami. After graduating from Carol City Senior High School, he later attended the historically black college Albany State University on a football scholarship.
After being signed to Suave House Records, former label for rap duo 8Ball & MJG, he eventually signed a deal with Slip-n-Slide Records, which has been under the Def Jam umbrella since 2006. While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Ross toured with fellow rapper Trick Daddy and made guest performances on other Slip-n-Slide albums.

Want to know how to grow a pineapple; pineapple plants grow inside or outside depending on the weather. All you have to do is tear away some of the leaves to expose the roots a little bit and then place it in good soil. Add plenty of water and watch it start to grow.
Good Morning! This is Matt from Creative Cooking Corner down here in lovely Key West. You can see we have another beautiful day, which is pretty much the norm down here. Today we are not really going to cook anything, but I thought I would show you something I like to do on my spare time I guess goofing off. Um... I'm going to show you how to plant a pineapple.
What we have here is the cut off end - the top of it. What happens after you plant it and what you can expect in the future. So all I'm going to do is I'm going to grab it, and you notice this thing isn't very pretty looking. It is kind of beat up and old looking. Don't worry about that. It will grow. So you're just going to grab this base here and take the top and you're going to twist it off. Throw your parts in the basket there.
Alright, now what you have is all these little leaves right here. So I'm going to start peeling these off. And I can already see there are some roots in here that have started. As you peel back more and more leaves, you'll see more and more roots. You just kind of have to turn it while you are peeling them off. Ah yeah... now we're see some nice roots, so we'll just keep peeling off a few more of these. And you know, really it is up to you have far you want to go. See there's another couple of nice roots. And I think that's about good. I'm not seeing too many more roots underneath there. There's a few.
But you know this would be a nice project you could do with say you had kids, family, daughters, sons, whatever. You can show them how to cut open a pineapple, and then you can bring them outside and do a quick little thing and just watch it grow together. So, but anyways, there it is. You got it. See all the roots are exposed.
Okay? Follow me over here. Now I've got this nice pot of potting soil. I'm going to put it in here and kind of make a soft spot there. Just push it in just like that. Not too far. Then take your water and just water it in. And don't be afraid to pour it right on top of the pineapple like this. That's what they are made for. They are made to catch water and send it down to the roots. So you don't want to put it in too far. But you also need to have it in far enough where it will hold itself up.
And there you have it! So now what you will have in a few weeks, you will end up with something like this. And you can see here where the old leaves are. They just need to be trimmed off and this is all brand new growth coming. And this is probably about a month I would guess. So this started from this. And then it takes a while, but in about a year you can force this thing to fruit by putting some sodium carbonate right down in here. Or you can just sit an apple on there, bag it overnight and the methylene gas coming off the apple will force this thing to fruit. Then you'll start growing a stock out of the middle with a pineapple on it. And I'll see you next time!

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
¾ cup soy sauce
¼ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup honey
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 cups cooked white rice, divided
PREPARATION
Cut pineapple in half, lengthwise. Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh of each half, leaving about a half-inch on the sides to make sure the pineapple boats are sturdy. Discard the flesh or set it aside to eat later, and drain any juices.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken thighs and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and honey, and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn the heat down to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thick and the chicken is cooked through, 8 to 12 minutes. Add the sesame seeds and stir to combine, then remove the pan from the heat.
Scoop a cup of rice into each of the pineapple boats, then divide the teriyaki chicken among the boats and serve.
