Nerve (upcoming film)

Nerve is an upcoming American drama thriller film directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and written by Jessica Sharzer, based on the novel Nerve by Jeanne Ryan. The film stars Dave Franco, Emma Roberts, Kimiko Glenn, Juliette Lewis, Emily Meade and Marc John Jefferies. Principal photography began on April 13, 2015 in New York City.

In February 2014, it was announced that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman would be directing the film, from a screenplay by Jessica Sharzer, based on the novel of the same name by Jeanne Ryan. In January 2015, it was announced that Emma Roberts and Dave Franco had joined the cast of the film. In April 2015, it was announced that Kimiko Glenn had joined the cast of the film, portraying the role of Emma Robert's characters worried friend. That same day, it was announced that rapper Richard "MGK" Baker had joined the cast of the film.

Nerve (category theory)

In category theory, a discipline within mathematics, the nerve N(C) of a small category C is a simplicial set constructed from the objects and morphisms of C. The geometric realization of this simplicial set is a topological space, called the classifying space of the category C. These closely related objects can provide information about some familiar and useful categories using algebraic topology, most often homotopy theory.

Motivation

The nerve of a category is often used to construct topological versions of moduli spaces. If X is an object of C, its moduli space should somehow encode all objects isomorphic to X and keep track of the various isomorphisms between all of these objects in that category. This can become rather complicated, especially if the objects have many non-identity automorphisms. The nerve provides a combinatorial way of organizing this data. Since simplicial sets have a good homotopy theory, one can ask questions about the meaning of the various homotopy groups π_n(N(C)). One hopes that the answers to such questions provide interesting information about the original category C, or about related categories.

Spirit (This Condition album)

Spirit is This Condition's third EP, a five-track album recorded in April 2010. It was released on July 27, 2010 through online retailers and digital music stores (iTunes), as well as a physical release through the band's online merch store. Recorded in Boonton, NJ's The Pilot Studio with producer Rob Freeman, whom the band had worked with on three singles in 2009, the album features five new tracks, including "Go" and "Stay Right Here".

Spirit (Hitomi album)

Spirit is the tenth studio album of Japanese singer-songwriter Hitomi. The album was formally released on April 27, 2011 under the independent label Maximum 10.

Spirit features production from Advanced Alternative Media, making this the first time that they work with a Japanese artist. Other western artists, like Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, Chuck Comeau and Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan, and Gabe Saporta from Cobra Starship collaborated in the album as well.

Information

The album was released approximately two years after her previous work, Love Life 2, and it is her first album after her departure from the Avex major label. It was produced by musicians of Advanced Alternative Media Inc., making this the first album in which Hitomi works exclusively with Western songwriters, composers, and producers.

No singles were released for promoting the album, although two songs were made available to the public prior to its release. The song "Love Me, Love Body" was used as the official theme song to Coca-Cola Japan's healthy drink for women "Love Body", and was digitally released on July 28, 2010. "Song For You" was the other song previously released. It was included in Hitomi's single "Umarete Kurete ArigatÅ?", which was her last single released under the Avex label. The last songs that Hitomi published under the Avex major label, "Umarete Kurete ArigatÅ?" and "Smile World" -the two A-side songs of her last major single-, along with the thems songs of the NHK anime TV series Hanakappa, "Special" and "Guru Maze Yeah", were not included in the album.

Spirit (Bauhaus song)

"Spirit" is the seventh single released by British gothic rock band Bauhaus. It was released in 7" format on the Beggars Banquet label as a regular release with the band's distinctive logo on both sides (front black on white, back white on black) and as a picture disc in a clear vinyl pouch with white text printed on the reverse. It peaked at No. 42 in the UK Singles Chart.

Tattoo (comics)

Tattoo, later Longstrike, is a fictional mutant character in the Marvel Comics Universe. Her first appearance was in New X-Men #126, created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely.

Fictional character biography

A student of the Xavier Institute, the young girl called Tattoo can display messages or designs on her skin, as well as phase through matter. She is one of the many students who were mentally controlled by Cassandra Nova to attack Wolverine and Beast. Tattoo and the other students are freed from Cassandra's influence by the Stepford Cuckoos. While attending classes, Tattoo became romantically involved with a telepath named Slick. When Quentin Quire reveals Slick's true form, that of a dwarf-like creature, Tattoo is repulsed and breaks up with him. Tattoo joins the Omega Gang, led by Quentin Quire, taking up their own beliefs in mutant rights. This gang includes Tattoo's brother Radian, who can emit disorienting flashes of light. They set out to avenge what seems to be the murder of Jumbo Carnation, a popular mutant clothes designer. They also attack and kill a group of murderous, mutant-hunting U-Men.
