Carl Douglas (born 10 May 1942) is a Jamaican-born, UK-based former singer, best known for his song "Kung Fu Fighting", which hit number one in both the UK Singles Chart and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. It was awarded gold status by the RIAA on 27 November 1974, and won a Grammy Award for Best Selling Single in that year's event. It eventually went on to sell eleven million records worldwide, making it one of the best-selling singles of all time.
The song, which is an homage to martial arts films, has overshadowed the rest of the Douglas' career, resulting in his appearance on cover versions of the song. He did release two other singles ("Blue Eyed Soul" and "Dance the Kung Fu", which was sampled by DJ Premier on his 2007 remix of Nike's 25th Air Force One anniversary single "Classic (Better Than I've Ever Been)", featuring Kanye West, Nas, KRS-One and Rakim) but he has ultimately become known in recording history as an example of a one hit wonder.
He was at one time managed by Eric Woolfson, later the primary songwriter behind The Alan Parsons Project.
Bruce Lee (born Lee Jun-fan; 27 November 1940 – 20 July 1973) was a Chinese AmericanHong Kong actor, martial arts instructor, philosopher, film director, film producer, screenwriter, and founder of the Jeet Kune Do martial arts movement. He is widely considered by many commentators, critics, media and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist and pop culture icon of the 20th Century. He is often credited with changing the way Asians were presented in American films.
Lee was born in San Francisco to parents of Hong Kong heritage but was raised in Hong Kong until his late teens. Lee returned to the United States at the age of 18 to claim his U.S. citizenship and receive his higher education. It was during this time that he began teaching martial arts, which soon led to film and television roles.
His Hong Kong and Hollywood-produced films elevated the traditional Hong Kong martial arts film to a new level of popularity and acclaim, and sparked a major surge of interest in Chinese martial arts in the West in the 1970s. The direction and tone of his films changed and influenced martial arts and martial arts films in Hong Kong and the rest of the world, as well. He is noted for his roles in five feature-length films: Lo Wei's The Big Boss (1971) and Fist of Fury (1972); Way of the Dragon (1972), directed and written by Lee; Warner Brothers' Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Game of Death (1978), both directed by Robert Clouse.

Witchfinder General,
Gives everyone a fright
Witchfinder General,
This man’s really outta sight!
Says he’s got a thing about burnin’ witches
Some of these were mighty fine bitches
Nobody knows if he’s doin’ right
Another cord, he does ‘em all,
Ride right through the night
Witchfinder General,
What’s this thing your doin’?
Witchfinder General,
They’ll be nobody left by the time you’re through
His opening line’s "Tell me who’s the one?
They will confess before the morning sun"
You just gotta be cool when he’s around
So listen here, better beware,
When he rides into your town!
Witchfinder General,
Another one down
Witchfinder General,
This guy don’t mess around now
Come on, Witchfinder General,
Witchfinder General,
He’s got the finest steed
Witchfinder General,
You see, got to get to fair with speed
Witchfinder General,
Burning, burning everything in sight!

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact, it was a little bit frightening
But they fought with expert timing
There where funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up
They were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chinese art
And everybody knew their part
From a faint into a slip
And a kickin' from the hip
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing
There was funky Billie chin and little Sammy Chong
He said, here comes the big boss, let's get it on
We took the bow and made a stand
Started swaying with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip
Now we're into a brand new trip
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing
(pause)
keep on, keep on, keep on
Sure enough
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
Make sure you have expert timing
Dance The Kung Fu (I'll tell you what to do)
You just dance The Kung Fu
Yeah
Dance The Kung Fu (that's what to do)
You just dance The Kung Fu.
You swing to your left then you swing to your right
This new dance people is pure dynamite.
Ev'ry step is poetry in motion
Let the rythm take your devotion
So when you feel like you wanna fight
People listen to me
Don't get uptight.
This is all
This is all you do.
Dance The Kung Fu
. . .
Hand to the hand then you make a little stand
You jump and dip your back up stiff
Moving with the grace of a butterfly
Take yourself away on a natural high.
You feel like you wanna fight
Listen to me people don't get uptight.
This is all
This is all you do.
Dance The Kung Fu (I'll tell you what to do) . . .
Ugh ! Ah ! Come on move around
Never see what you're putting down
Step in line come feel the groove
Doin' fine you got nothing to lose.
Dance The Kung Fu (this is all you do) . . .
Peace and love sweet as a flower
Looking out on the world, all I see
Shadows of the girl who meant so much to me
How I tried, to turn my back on that woman
Hey! Hey!
(Chorus)
Run back
I'm missing you baby
I'm sad
You really did hurt me
Run back
Make it up baby while we still got time
Every night I lie awake, I'm on the phone
Forget the fight, wrong or right, I want you home
In my dreams all I see is that woman
Hey! Hey!
(Chorus)
Run back
I'm missing you baby
I'm sad
But it really did hurt me
Run back
And make it up baby, while we still got time
I'm talkin'!
(Chorus)
Run back
Here I'm waiting
I'm sad
But I can't wait forever
Don't try
To take me for granted
Come and change your mind
While we still got time
(Chorus)
Run back
I'm missing you baby
I'm sad
You really did hurt me
Run back
And make it up baby while we still got time
(Chorus)
Run back
Here I am waiting
I'm sad
But I can't wait forever
Don't try
And take me for granted
Come and change your mind
(Chorus)
Run back
I'm missing you baby
I'm sad
You really did hurt me
