Shutting Down The Blog Until The End of Spring

Thank you for visiting. Photo source.

The gentle winds are awakened,
They murmur and waft day and night,
They create in every corner.
Oh fresh scent, oh new sound!
Now, poor dear, fear not!
Now everything, everything must change.
The world becomes more beautiful with each day,
One does not know what may yet happen,
The blooming doesn't want to end.
The farthest, deepest valley blooms:
Now, poor dear, forget the pain!
Now everything, everything must change.

Sound the flute!
Now it's mute!
Bird's delight,
Day and night,
Nightingale,
In the dale,
Lark in sky,--
Merrily,
Merrily merrily, to welcome in the year.

Little boy,
Full of joy;
Little girl,
Sweet and small;
Cock does crow,
So do you;
Merry voice,
Infant noise;
Merrily, merrily, to welcome in the year.

Little lamb,
Here I am;
Come and lick
My white neck;
Let me pull
Your soft wool;
Let me kiss
Your soft face;
Merrily, merrily, to welcome in the year.

Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers to-day;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.

Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.

And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.

For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfil.

Days of delight
Are you almost here?
Bringing the sunlight
Hills and woods near?

Oh, and the streams
Richer in flow.
Is this the valley?
This the meadow?

How blue now and fresh!
Heaven and height!
The bright golden fish
In the lake’s night.

Rainbows of feathers
Rustle the leaves:
Celestial songs, where
Echo deceives.

Under the greenery’s
Blossoming powers,
The buzzing of bees
Sipping the flowers.

A gentle movement
Trembling in air,
Sleep-bringing scent
Loveliest stir.

Soon there’s a greater
Force to the breeze,
Yet it is lost there,
Now, in the trees.

But back to the heart
It’s carried again.
Muses, help me with art,
To suffer joy’s pain!

Since yesterday say, here,
What’s happened to me?
My Beloved Sisters,
The Beloved I see!

I love a storm in early May
When springtime's boisterous, firstborn thunder
Over the sky will gaily wander
And growl and roar as though in play.

A peal, another - gleeful, cheering...
Rain, raindust... On the trees, behold!-
The drops hang, each a long pearl earring;
Bright sunshine paints the thin threads gold.

A stream downhill goes rushing reckless,
And in the woods the birds rejoice.
Din. Clamour. Noise. All nature echoes
The thunder's youthful, merry voice.

You'll say: 'Tis laughing, carefree Hebe -
She fed her father's eagle, and
The Storm Cup brimming with a seething
And bubbling wine dropped from her hand.

Frost-locked all the winter,
Seeds, and roots, and stones of fruits,
What shall make their sap ascend
That they may put forth shoots?
Tips of tender green,
Leaf, or blade, or sheath;
Telling of the hidden life
That breaks forth underneath,
Life nursed in its grave by Death.

Blows the thaw-wind pleasantly,
Drips the soaking rain,
By fits looks down the waking sun:
Young grass springs on the plain;
Young leaves clothe early hedgerow trees;
Seeds, and roots, and stones of fruits,
Swollen with sap put forth their shoots;
Curled-headed ferns sprout in the lane;
Birds sing and pair again.

There is no time like Spring,
When life's alive in everything,
Before new nestlings sing,
Before cleft swallows speed their journey back
Along the trackless track -
God guides their wing,
He spreads their table that they nothing lack, -
Before the daisy grows a common flower
Before the sun has power
To scorch the world up in his noontide hour.

There is no time like Spring,
Like Spring that passes by;
There is no life like Spring-life born to die, -
Piercing the sod,
Clothing the uncouth clod,
Hatched in the nest,
Fledged on the windy bough,
Strong on the wing:
There is no time like Spring that passes by,
Now newly born, and now
Hastening to die.

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here

A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That science cannot overtake,
But human nature feels.

It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.

Then, as horizons step,
Or noons report away,
Without the formula of sound,
It passes, and we stay:

A quality of loss
Affecting our content,
As trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a sacrament.

Title:  Goethe´s Garden in Early Spring set to E. Grieg´s "Last Spring" ♪. Source: Anna Rubato. Date Published: March 31, 2014. Description:
Situated in the beautiful Ilm valley the house and garden given to Goethe by the Duke Carl August in 1776 became his first place of residence in Weimar. He stayed there for six years before he moved to a house in the centre of Weimar. He kept his first house though - by then called the garden house - as a place of refuge and to entertain guests. It is reported that he often visited it until shortly before his death on March 22, 1832. There is a certain likelihood that Goethe´s last impressions of his terraced garden may not have differed much from the scenes shown in the video.
Given the fact that its first owner is a world-famous poet the garden is refreshingly unpretentious sporting large patches of white and blue windflowers, violets and buttercups.
The sheet music (arrangement of Grieg´s "Last Spring" for flute and piano) can be found at flutetunes.com.

X22Report: US Preparing A Major Offensive Push In The Middle East

ISIS and NATO are joined at the hip.

Former Indian Spy Chief: "Pakistan has a Balochistan obsession"; Russian Report Documents Turkey's Arms Shipments To ISIS; Western Elite's Crusade Against Secular Nationalists Is In Line With ISIS's Genocidal Aims

Full Spectrum Terrorism: NATO in the air and ISIS on the ground. Both transnational death cults will be destroyed intellectually, politically, and militarily, but not before they unleash even more mass carnage, genocidal terrorism, and destruction in the name of Islam and humanitarianism.

An excerpt from, "Q&A: ‘Pak is having a rough time in Balochistan…’" By Namrata Biji Ahuja, Deccan Chronicle, April 9, 2016:
Pakistan has a Balochistan obsession. It is not recent; it’s an old thing. They have a serious problem in Balochistan. I do a lot of Track II dialogue and I met some of these Baloch boys and they are very critical of Pakistan. They openly talk about disappearances and other things. So Pakistan is having a rough time in Balochistan. When you are having a rough time, you want to blame somebody else for it. The easiest thing is to blame the R&AW and India. It is all a figment of their imagination. That we would be in contact with Baloch leaders is a legitimate part of diplomacy, leave alone whatever the R&AW does. There is nothing wrong with that. As far as spies go or espionage goes, that is also an acknowledged part of statecraft. There is nothing new in that.
An excerpt from, "Second Russian intelligence report on Turkey’s current assistance to Daesh" Voltaire Network, April 9, 2016:
Between 11 and 21 January 2016, Turkish intelligence officers supplied Jabhat al-Sham terrorists with 7.62mm and 12.7mm ammunition and with rounds for RPG-7 grenade launchers. The cargo was transferred across the Turkish-Syrian border, in the area of Kizilcat (540 km south-east of Ankara), to a fighters’ camp in the province of Latakia. Some of the weapons and ammunition received were subsequently sold by field commanders to ISIL representatives (in exchange for petroleum products, food and tangible assets).

On 25 January 2016, the Turkish Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms financed a shipment of equipment and food (approximately 55 tons) to ISIL terrorists. The union of fraternal societies and foundations of Turkey was responsible was forming the convoy. The “humanitarian cargo” travelled through the Yayladağı border crossing (530 km south-east of Ankara, Hatay province) to the Bayırbucak district. Earlier, in July 2015, the Foundation assisted The Association for Human Rights and Solidarity for the Oppressed in transferring over 177 tons of military cargo to the north of Syria.

Smuggling explosives and industrial chemicals to terrorist groups operating in Syria is also usually organized from Turkish territory, through border crossings in the vicinity of Reyhanlı (Turkey), Azaz (Syria), Al-Qamishli (Syria) and Jarablus (Syria). Waterways, particularly the Euphrates River, are often used to transport large consignments of explosive components: nitroglycerine, ammonium nitrate, gunpowder and trinitrotoluene (TNT).
An excerpt from, "Terror Bombing in Brussels and Paris: Europe’s “Islamist Legionnaires” Come Home to Fight" By Prof. James Petras, Global Research, April 8, 2016:
Ever since the US-EU policymakers decided to implement a war against Arab and West Asian secular nationalism in the Middle-East, Afghanistan, Iran and North Africa through serial ‘regime change’ campaigns they have relied on Islamist Salafist mercenaries and volunteers to do most of the killing on the ground, while the West operates from the air.  Washington and its NATO allies operated on the assumption that they could use and then discard their recruits, mostly from marginalized urban youth and criminal gangs, once they had served imperial military purposes.  A few with requisite talent and ruthlessness could be turned into puppet ‘leaders’ to unleash on the Russians and other ‘obstacles’ in future engagements.

The EU-US totally misunderstood the volunteers’ high level of independence, their organizational autonomy and their own understanding of the tactical nature of their alliance with Western imperialism.  Islamist extremist leaders, like their Western counterparts, believe there are no permanent alliances – only permanent interests.

The EU and US have pursued a policy of overthrowing independent Muslim and secular Arab nations and returning them to the status of pre-independence semi-colonies.  The rollback policy against secular nationalism (with its deep roots in the Dulles era) has extended from North Africa, through the Middle East to Southwest Asia. For its part, ISIS and its allies envision a return to a pre-colonial Islamic caliphate over the same lands and people to counter Western imperialism.  Millions are caught in the middle.

Is Washington Getting Ready To Throw Saudi Arabia Into The Ash Heap of History?

Saudi Arabia is being sacrificed. ISIS is the new and more exciting game in town. With full U.S., British, Israeli, Qatari, and Turkish support, its momentum will sweep aside Saudi rulers and revive medieval fantasies of an Islamic Caliphate dominating the majority of the Muslim world.

There are signs that U.S. support for the House of Saud is ending. And the reason is not because Washington has suddenly grown a conscience. More nefarious motives explain why Washington has decided to finish off Saudi Arabia now that it no longer serves any useful purpose in the regional order in the Middle East.

The King of Saudi Arabia won't get the Saddam treatment. Washington will at least offer the poor bastard the courtesy of leaving this world in a little more dignified manner. But like Saddam, he and his sons will be thrown under the bus in the international media. And the propaganda campaign has already begun.

Whether it is the U.S.-funded leak the "Panama Papers," or the threat of leaking the 28 pages in the fraudulent 9/11 report, it is clear that Saudi Arabia is the target of a coordinated propaganda blitz by Washington.

Add President Obama's controversial statements in an interview with The Atlantic that the U.S-Saudi relationship is "complicated" and the picture becomes even more clear. Saudi Arabia is being sacrificed on the altar of ISIS.

But, no tears shall be shed, because in many ways these idiots dug their own graves. Washington only had to lease them the shovel and stand to the side. They only have themselves to blame.

After Washington retires the King, will it let chaos bloom and tear apart the region or replace him with a controlled Caliph?

Whether the new boss will be as U.S.-friendly as the old one remains to be seen, but if the peace deals between Syrian ISIS-linked opposition factions and Israel are anything to go by, then the answer is certainly yes.

If there is a new Caliph, backed by Muslim Brotherhood-friendly regimes in the U.S., England, France, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, and other ISIS-sympathizing countries, he will be much like the old King. He will have his eyes set on places like Iran, Pakistan, Kurdistan, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Africa, not Israel.

It's almost like Israel doesn't even exist in the minds of ISIS fanatics. They're too busying chopping the heads off of innocent Muslims and indigenous ethnic and religious minorities to get worked up about the crimes and massacres that are taking place in the Holy Land.

An excerpt from, "President Obama and the Saudi Allies: It’s Complicated" By Cinzia Bianco and Giorgio Cafiero, Lobe Log, April 1, 2016:
Throughout Barack Obama’s presidency, the U.S. has faced unprecedented challenges across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The Obama administration’s response to these crises has created substantial friction between Washington and some of its allies in the Arabian Peninsula. The perception of the U.S. supporting the “Arab Spring” uprisings across the MENA region and Washington’s diplomatic overtures to Iran unsettle some Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) officials.

After Egypt’s “Arab Spring” revolution in 2011, the Saudis angrily accused Washington of dropping key U.S. ally Hosni Mubarak “like a used Kleenex.” The State Department’s criticism of Bahrain’s crackdown on political activists irked authorities in Manama. The U.S. refusal to intervene militarily in Syria against the Damascus regime frustrated Riyadh. Yet the geopolitical implications of last year’s watershed Iranian nuclear deal, which some GCC officials argue will increase the Islamic Republic’s influence across the Middle East, appear to represent the greatest source of tension in Washington-Riyadh relations.

Obama’s landmark Middle East foreign policy decisions fit within the context of a new U.S. posture in the region and “pivot” to Asia. Exemplified by Washington’s limited military role in Libya, the term for this new posture is “leading from behind.” Indeed, President Obama’s many decisions reinforce the idea that even if Washington cannot afford to look away from the Middle East, the U.S. should nonetheless re-interpret its traditional role as the dominant outside actor in the region.
Expectedly, this approach has disappointed many traditional American allies, chiefly Saudi Arabia, which has long considered its relationship with the U.S. to be privileged. Since the 1940s, under both Republican and Democratic administrations, Riyadh has maintained a steady relationship with Washington, built on converging strategic interests and in spite of tactical disagreements and ideological differences. But Obama’s foreign policy has raised questions about the persistence of such convergence and the alliance’s long-term strength.
